We have used True Performance for 3 different vehicles, including 2 different makes. The most recent time was in February and this was the best experience yet. Randall kept me up to date as to the progress of the repairs and the coordination of the insurer's estimate and reimbursement policies. The car was finished sooner than expected and it came back looking showroom new. The front desk staff was easy to communicate with and was welcoming over the phone and in person. I appreciate working with a family owned business.

I am generally very wary of repair shops due to years of dealing with foot-dragging and corner-cutting, but True Performance is the complete opposite. When my BMW M2 Competition was hit, Ed managed my case with incredible diligence. He fought the insurance company's attempts to cut corners to save money at every turn to ensure they used the right parts to bring the car back to its "like-new" state, all while keeping me updated through pandemic-related shipping delays. They made a long, awful process so much less awful where they could.
What continues to truly set them apart, however, is their long-term integrity. Two years after the initial repair, I had a minor issue with the door alignment. They got me in immediately, and the owner personally helped troubleshoot a separate tricky noise issue that most shops would have used as an excuse to blow me off. If you have a luxury vehicle that needs work, don't even hesitate. This is the one.
I was kissed on my back bumper but such things are never as they seem. True Performance used OEM parts and repaired my car to as new condition…..all covered by insurance. I got my car back with the comfort of knowing it is safe to drive with original parts are skilled labor. They even washed it! Been going here for years, given them tons of business. Can’t say I’ll be coming back after my most recent experience. Been leaving messages for days trying to get ahold of John Gilbert - the person handing my repair. Can’t even be bothered enough to give me a call back. Left voicemails as his line always goes to voicemail, then left numerous messages with reception. How can I entrust my car to be repaired when I can’t even get ahold of the people working. If you don’t want to repair my car then just say that, jeez.

Got rear ended recently and brought my car to true performance since they were recommended by my dealer. They did great work and the ladies at the front desk were great, especially Melinda. My wife’s due date was close to when they estimated completion and they worked to get the car ready before then so we’d have the car before the baby got here. Will absolutely bring my car here in the future if I ever need more work done.
These folks are true professionals. I had the whole rear quarter of my 2019 XC60 smashed in after 8,000 miles, and they meticulously rebuilt the car (using genuine parts) over 2 months. I’m writing now because 40,000 miles later the car remains a high functioning vehicle with no hidden issues. Don’t hesitate to use these guys should you ever find yourself in the unfortunate circumstance I did.

True Performance is gold standard of collision repair centers. True Performance repaired rear end damage after my Mercedes was in an accident last month. When the repairs were complete, it looked as good as (if not better than) the day I purchased it brand new. Truly exceptional. Just last week, another person hit my vehicle. I got my 2018 Audi A4 involved in a bad hit and run and was deciding between multiple body shops. I saw that this one had good reviews and chose this one, and also Riffe's autobody refused to work with Statefarm. Statefarm and many other insurance companies tend to use third party recycled parts to save money. However, with the help of Randall and his amazing team at True Performance, they submitted multiple supplements to Statefarm and recieved double the money and covered all parts as OEM genuine Audi parts. My car drives great and looks better than before the accident with all the new genuine parts. Per my request, they installed a performance intercooler from ECS Tuning for me without any extra labor costs. They even detailed my car for me before returning it. This body shop is the real deal and will provide timely and professional work and everything is clear and transparent. This body shop does not mess around and add extra fees like other body shops. I cannot thank Randall enough for his hard work and professionalism throughout the entire process. Everytime I called, he responded in a professional and respectful manner and gave me thorough updates on the progress of my car. Unfortunately, our latest visit to Randall and his team was due to my wife's car being involved in a hit & skip while she was inside our local grocery store.
True Performance quickly scheduled an appointment and I had the opportunity to meet with Rob Williams. He evaluated the car thoroughly and even took the time to clean a few areas to remove plastic residue left from the other vehicle. He provided quotes for both the work from the accident and some additional work that I wanted to perform if the budget allowed.
Rob worked directly with our insurance company to ensure proper repairs would be made and covered under our policy. He also made professional recommendations for some rust repair that was discovered once the body panels were removed.
During the course of the work being performed, our vehicle was subject to some additional damage for which True Performance took full responsibility. They were honest, up front, and explained how they were going to make it right while providing a rental car and updated timeline for repairs. I received a call from the owner himself apologizing for the situation. I respect when someone takes responsibility for their actions and does their best to make things right.
Regrettably, we were unable to perform the additional work I asked to be quoted due to budgetary constraints, so it was a surprise to us when we picked up the car to find that Randall made the decision to perform that work free of charge.
As usual, we were thrilled with the quality of the work performed which has been the primary reason for bringing our vehicles here for the last two decades. Frankly, we had debated trading the car in for something newer, but after seeing the finished product we knew we would be keeping it in the family for years to come.

Above and beyond my expectations as a whole. My BMW 428i Convertible was involved in a fender-bender which got me more than worried. Belonging to the automotive paint background, i was mainly concerned about color match. I call it my luck that I found these folks and it was an end to my worries after I saw my car complete sitting with a brand new rear bumper with a 0-0 match. Precision and excellence is True Performance!
I have been in the collision repair industry for over 30 years and have known the owner, management and staff at True Performance for nearly 20 years. They are as good as it gets in Central Ohio for repairs on any vehicle. The people there are a hard working and caring group. Quality work in a timely manner are the norm.
What a great experience. I picked them because of their reputation and I could not be happier with the result. The owner goes above and beyond to please his customers. The car I had repaired was a 2008 Infiniti M35x and they even polished the headlights which were starting to fog. When I picked it up the car looked like it came off the showroom. I've dealt with True Performance 5 times over an 8 year period at this point. Thereafter each transaction, I've walked away impressed overall and wouldn't hesitate to recommend True Performance over all high-line auto body I've dealt with personally, or have heard about otherwise. Very pleased with the work True Performance did on my Grand Cherokee. The car looks brand new- you'd never know it was in an accident. Their work is fantastic. I've had multiple cars worked on here and they've always come back looking like I just bought them. I've gotten tons of complements from co-workers, friends and family that couldn't believe it was the same car as before the accident.
My last car did take 6 weeks but this is due to the insurance company taking their time to approve supplements and the car still came back by their estimated completion date. The other reviewer maybe should change to another insurance provider.
I don't mind a longer wait to make sure the work is done right, and True Performance hires people that will treat your car like their own. I've even had a few minor scuffs and scrapes touched up that I didn't even notice until I was told where to look and they were barely noticable after. Some other shops usually hire people that couldn't care less about anything but when their shift is over and will cut corners to save money, you'll regret it in the long run when the paint flakes off or you have to get your car re-repaired.
I've even had True Perfomance employees stay late for me to drop off and pick up my car because my schedule wouldn't permit me to make it during business hours.
I encourage everyone I know that needs body work done to check out True Performance and you should see the cars as they come out repaired. They have an excellent detailing team. The paint looks better than factory. Before you go anywhere else stop by True Performance and ask to see some of the repaired vehicles and some before pictures. You won't be sorry.
