On Sunday, September7, 2025, we brought our 2021 Toyota RAV-4 in to get the battery checked. The woman brought her diagnostic equipment to our car and tested it. We were told the battery was fine. The next day the battery was dead and we had to tow the car to Tiptons in Burnsville and our car had a new battery installed. Why didn’t this person at Advance Auto Parts know a battery was not good?

It's an advanced auto parts. They only exist if you need the part TODAY and cannot wait to pay a fraction of the cost to order online. Customer service is always the same at these places.

I called up because of my battery being defective and they told me I had a 1-year warranty. When I remove the battery and showed up they told me it only had a 90-day warranty and refused to cover it. Told me one thing on the phone and different when I showed up.

The staff today truly was incredible! Everyone working was so helpful. Amanda especially went above and beyond today to help my family. Truly a gem of a location! We hope they are getting the praise and recognition they all deserve.

We were in a pickle with our battery and live out of state. We stopped by this past Saturday and found the most helpful and friendly guy working there. He diagnosed the problem and got us on the road quickly. He was professional knew his stuff.

Great place for a wide selection of auto parts. Prices are reasonable, and they have a huge inventory in the back. A friendly staff will help you find what you need. Order online and pick up at the store. You can get a discount on most online orders.

Nice ppl and if you have to get certain parts,they usually can get it by that day or the next day, they have most everything that you need for your car, always recommend, keep your eye on sales online for deals.

They had the parts I needed in stock, and we're able to get the parts for my next project on order right away. A couples of the guys behind the counter were helpful and professional, but one guy -Garrett- took a moment to have a conversation with me and offer thoughts and solutions. Give him a raise!

Waited five days for parts that were already paid for. Promised their delivery twice and each time they did not have my complete order. The first two employees I encountered were unfriendly, rude, and the perfect example of poor customer service. The 3rd employee i encountered was helpful and kind and was able to return my money, however did not offer to for management to be addressed about my issues with their store. Would not recommend. Went to NAPA in the same town and recieved the part in 3 hours and $30 cheaper.

Whatever you do don’t buy a transmission from advance auto parts. They are junk and they will not stay behind the warranty. I spent almost $6000 on a new transmission, 4 months later transmission went out and it’s been 3 months and I’m still waiting. Don’t waste your time or money here.

Only giving one star because zero is not an option. At least 6 times in 4 months was given the wrong part, then given attitude when I asked them to fix it. Girl behind the counter had no knowledge of cars, parts, or anything besides minimal effort looking stuff up on a computer, her lunch on the counter, and girl talking on her phone. Openly heard a manager telling an employee to profile people for returns, "If they look thuggish ask for a receipt". Many problems for many years with this store. Was given the wrong set of brake pads 3 times before I got the right set, after letting a former manager know he did give me a gift card to offset my time and travel. As a life long local just don't. Napa or anywhere else. Don't give these receipt fascists your business. Probably calling corporate soon.

Had to ask one of 3 standing around employees for help, while I was standing at counter then he made me walk to the back of store where he was to get help and my part. While I was there an elderly lady came back ,because they gave her the wrong light(it was night time).

01-17-2020 called Vikki to get a price on a part. 622-001. She told me $199.99 when EVERY and I mean EVERY other Advance auto in our area was $189.99. I've been trying to warn everyone for a long time that Vikki lady is doing what she wants to do and is trouble. I would not be suprised if she was pocketing the $10.00 for herself.

I have been coming here for years .the usual older man, in glasses,i use as my goto.wasn’t there! At this point! I’ve been in and out all day . I needed my codes reset . All the younger woman .could think to tell me,was we are closing in 5 min . And I know they can’t reset codes so I asked if I could use the device to reset my codes . Well the younger lady I believe Ashley is her name . Was casually smoking a cigarette. Told me to go pick the device up behind the counter . So I did I come back out she doesn’t even know how put put the reader in the obd . So I did it for her . I then asked her manager lady . To help me guide through the reset . She seemed a little upset to spend 2 extra minutes past 8 . Horrible customer service these people should not have these jobs . I spend a lot of money in this store. To just be treated like it’s 2 min after 8 . Get with it

Has most parts for most vehicles, just not a good Rover go to. However they do have 5w50, in the back, on the top shelf across from where it's supposed to be.

Bought a $1640.00 transmission here, 6000 miles later it stopped working. They would not honor the warranty so i got stuck with a useless transmission and a $ 600 repair bill. They told me at time of purchase they would handle any warranty issues, when the time came to handle it they told me they did not handle warranty issues any more. In my opinion they were very unprofessional and i ended up spending another $1200 dollars for a used transmission and installation because they would not help me as promised. I avoid this place like the plague and only go here if i cannot find what i need elsewhere! I often drive 30 miles out of my way to keep from going there.

Unintentionally, my husband and I found ourselves in a car with an alternator that wouldn't charge late one night. Managing to make it to Advanced two minutes after closing, we caught the employees walking to their car. Stopping them to explain our situation and need for a battery to limp us back home, the employee with a key refused to reopen the store, hopped into his car and sped away leaving us stranded to wait on a wrecker despite the other employee offering to go back in with us, help us get running again, and even his personal tools. How could one company have two such drastic examples of customer service? Because of the unconcern and selfishness of this one horrible employee, my husband, our families/ friends, and anyone we get the opportunity to share this store with will know how inconsistently Advanced Auto of Burnsville's customer service truly is. If a company can't embed in ALL of its employees how to treat customers, then it is not a place that deserves anyone's business or hard earned money. To the one kind hearted employee: Hold your head high and keep being a positive example, it has not gone unnoticed and maybe just maybe will melt the heart of ice in your coworker. To the unconcerned employee: Every dog has his day. You will be found in a time of need, and I hope someone comes along and helps you out, and that it brings us back to your memory, and provides you a chance to become the kind of people this world needs. To Advanced Auto: Auto stores can be found across the country, and you don't offer anything unique or far superior than all the others... therefore, we don't "need" Advanced Auto, but Advanced Auto needs customers, otherwise it will go under. Be forever mindful of that fact, and instill in your employees a greater sense of customer service across the board. Needless to say, this store will no longer get our business!

My truck is broke down so I tried calling to see if they had the part. They won't answer the phone. I don't want to get a ride all the way there without knowing the part is there but how can I ask if they won't answer the phone.

Products. Has no Automotive database so helpful information is quite lacking. That's especially important in a small town. A corporate fix would take it to four stars.

Bought a battery and they didn't even offer to install it. I did it and ended up hurting myself. Then they couldn't get full voltage but still said it was good to go. Did all checks. Died on highway days later and had to tow.
