Customer service by the lady answering the phone was absolutely horrible. My son was in an emergency situation where he blew a tire and was trying to bring his car in to replace one tire and I tried explaining to the lady on the phone that I received a discount through USAA on Goodyear tires and I can pay for the installation and the tires through USAA who in turn pays the business. The lady was not understanding what I was telling her and kept saying something about we don’t accept payments through an app and basically rushed me on the phone and told me to kick rocks and go to colony tire for help and hung the phone up on me. Would just like to say my son gladly went to colony tire who graciously helped him and they earned our business unlike this business.
Broke down in Plymouth with power steering issues. Called another repair company and they weren't able to tow my large truck and trailer and referred me to J&J. J&J called me, price quote on the phone and was on site in 20 minutes. Loaded truck on rollback, hooked enclosed trailer behind and we were headed back home to Buxton (2 hrs away). Super nice man and very sweet black lab with him. Dropped trailer off at one location and truck off at local mechanic here in Buxton. Highly recommend at a reasonable price.
The ppl that actually run the place and make the rules are the worst! They will gouge the hell outta you. The lady working behind the counter was sooo sweet and patient with me and I really liked her, also, she was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I met her autistic son his first day on the job making trips and he was a sweet heart too. Shes raising some great kids! But J and J is last place you ever wanna call to do you any favors what so ever ESPECIALLY if it happens to be a police officer calls that calls for your vehicle to be towed in, they're gonna gouge you even worse. STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM HERE AS YOU CAN!!!
J&J have taken care of my family and my collision repair business for decades. Mr Stacey is one of the most pleasant men you will ever meet. Honest and fair, my go to for any thing they can help me with in the surrounding area.
This towing company promotes and advertise 24 hour services and I’ve been trying to pick up my vehicle and personal belongings I’ve called multiple times and I’ve received the rudest service. They are not trying to work with me and be helpful in any type of way. It’s memorial holiday weekend and even though they advertise 24/7 I’m still not receiving any type of help so they can charge me an extra three days worth of service. Today is Saturday May 28th which is not a holiday, Memorial Day is May 30th and I’m being denied services. Very disappointed in the service, treatment that I have received for J&J Brake Exhaust & Wrecker. I am not from the area I’m visiting on vacation and I just need some help because I’m stranded and I’m just being looked as an opportunity to make money off of. I live and work for the car community and this is absolutely unacceptable and discrimination.
Recently on a Business Trip to the Outer Banks on the way back the car my employees were driving broke down in the middle of no where. They could not see a street sign a landmark or anything. It was after 5pm on a Thursday evening. They of coarse very nervous. and over 3 hours from home. Reached out to me at the home office for help. I searched and searched for Tow Truck company that could assist. I spoke to some of the rudest people I have ever spoke with who could care less about this serious situation these Elderly Gentlemen were in. Then I saw on Google J & J Brake and exhaust and the fact they were highly reviewed. I called. A Gentleman named Stacy answered and immediately I new I had the right place. He worked with me to help locate them He found them. Towed the car and gave them a ride to the Holiday inn in Plymouth. He diagnosed the vehicle as un repairable the next morning. Immediately reaching out to me to try to help make other transportation arrangements for these guys to get home. He searched along with my self all morning for a rental car but unfortunately there were non available with in a couple hundred miles or a couple days. Finally we had to send some one to pick the guys up. But Stacy went above and beyond to try to help these guys and myself in every way imaginable. He Even stored our vehicle safely for nearly a week before we could have it picked up. Then this guy even texted me the next day to see if they made home safely. This guy treated us like members of his own family from the second he answered the phone. If you are ever in the Plymouth NC area or close to Plymouth. Do not waste a second calling another Tow service. Call J&J. These guy are incredible and I will never forget the service they provided and how much they truly cared. Thank you Stacey. Thank You J&J.

We broke down on Thanksgiving day in Plymouth. I called J&J and he said he was closed but would come out and help me. Stacy got there within ten minutes. Had it not been for him we would still be stranded there. Cant thank him enough!!
Every time we have been to J & J the service has been excellent. We have had vehicles worked on, tires replaced, rented UHauls and have always had excellent service.
I Dealt with them in the past in the past excellent service but I bought a truck and took it to them they locked it up in a fence and told me Don’t he calling asking about my own truck went to Cheverolet in Washington nc and told him about it he said I send a tow truck and pick the truck up and start the work they supposed to do the mechanic at j. And j susposed to be mechanic and they going to the beach ?
Our car broke down on the highway and these guys came out and were really professional. They had someone out within 15 minutes and as soon as they were able they worked on our car and we were on our way much quicker than we thought.
