I came across the car I bought after it was posted on Facebook. Loved the price and condition based on pictures so I drove an hour there to check it out in person, took it for a test drive. Everything seemed to be okay. Two months later, it needs an engine mount replaced. Which would be understandable given it’s a 20 year old car, but my issue is this…on the listing it said they replaced an engine mount. Which leads me to wonder…where are they getting their parts from? The junkyard? Or did they replace one engine mount, knowing another would need to be replaced soon and just decided not to acknowledge that? I definitely asked if they were aware of any other work that would need to be done soon…”it’s all good to go”…hmmm. Another negative..they replaced one of the sun visors..not even one month later the same visor falls down. All in all…can’t really beat the prices, but you definitely get what you pay for. Thankfully I have a trusted mechanic in my town and can afford to put money into it. And thankfully, it’s a Toyota. So if you plan on buying a car here, best make sure it’s Honda or Toyota…and have some money for repairs and maintenance in the very near future.

Donated a perfectly working car with low miles and in perfect condition (as well as a full aftermarket audio system) - obviously, with the idea that it would be given to someone in need. Loved the idea of doing that, especially if it went to someone younger who might appreciate the audio upgrades. Not a big deal if that didn't happen though. Instead, the car was apparently sold for less than half of its value. I could have sold that car to a dealership and then donated DOUBLE what they got by selling it at an auction. Please read that again. Not only do I lose thousands, but so does the actual charity! And, someone in this community didn't get a perfectly working and reliable car. I only found this out months later when I had to reach out to get the tax forms that I never received in the mail. So, who is benefiting if the actual community doesn't get the car, the charity itself loses thousands by selling it for less than half of its value, and the donator loses thousands in tax write-offs as well? Someone from a third party just managed to get a car for 70% off. I get screwed, the charity gets screwed, and, most importantly because it's the entire point of this charity, someone in this community got screwed. What a joke

Wonderful organization! Met Lisa at our Rotary meeting and had a great conversation with her about the mission. I donated my 2015 Honda Civic, and purchased a truck for my grandson. The process was smooth and FAST. The ladies in the office made everyone feel at home and welcome. They repair the donated cars and place those cars with people who are in need.

Hello, I am a mother of 2 children. I work, but unfortunately, I have to use Uber and the children's father every day to go to work because our car broke down. Since then, my life has been upside down. I have difficulty paying my bills because Uber brings me more money than I earn. I would like to know if your organization also donates cars, please. But I'm leaving and Gaston county

I started my relationship with W4H approximately 20 years ago when I was granted a referral from Step Up Ministry. That Buick Century was a wonderful blessing. Since then I have purchased multiple vehicles from this organization and have nothing but praise for their cause and the process and the people. We even purchased 2 at one time before. Lashawn is a Jewel and Lisa is a beautiful spirit and funny and genuine. Our latest purchase was the pinnacle of our finds! We love our beautiful, immaculately cared for Nissan Pathfinder! We will continue to buy our used automobiles from W4H because of the Mission first and foremost. Thank you for years of excellent service and community enrichment. We'll be checking the website weekly. Godspeed.

Advertises cars that are sold or have deposits on them, doesn’t answer phones to confirm availability before you show up, house voicemail but never returns voicemails. Nice ladies but just do not know how to run a business.

Absolutely awful program. It took nearly 9 months after giving my money. I was given a car with several safety issues, I've called and emailed the director several times and she fails to communicate in anyway. These people really mislead those who are in need. If you have a car to donate please donate to a church not these vulchers.

Super easy process. We were out of there within an hour. Test drive and purchase. Found a great car for husband to drive around town. They have a great program and would recommend this to anyone looking to buy a used car. The work they do is impressive.

I cant say enough about this organization. I'd been homeless, got into recovery and was able to get a job I love because they helped me get a car. The car runs great and I've had no issues with it. Very grateful!! Thank you! This made a huge difference in my life?

I waited 2 months just to get in a orientation class, but had to pay up front. I was referred by my school but was never contacted by wheels 4 hope. They don’t answer the phone, I took off of work to attend orientation. Caught a Uber there, front doors were locked and I didn’t see anyone in the office. I stood out front for a few minutes thinking maybe they were just not there yet, I went up to a office window where I saw someone on the phone and tapped on the window and they never asked what I needed or opened the door. I walked to a different side of the building where I saw a mechanic and asked him why the doors were locked up front and he rudely said probably because you’re late and I said no I’ve been standing up front for a while but I got here on time.he replies oh well nothing I can do..like are you serious? A customer walked up and saw me upset I explained what happened and she helped me find the class, Lisa refused to let me in because I was late ..tried to explain that I had been standing out front. Issue was that no one contacted me and told me what part of the building the class would be. She cut me off and said she wasn’t going to argue with me ..I’m just mad that my time was wasted, money was wasted, and they were rude, I asked for my money back and she said “I’ll call you” of course she never did, she didn’t ask my name or anything. She just said “catch the next class” which they have once a month..after I had been waiting for 2 months already, meanwhile I’m still having trouble with transporting to work and school! Terrible business

Incredible and unique faith based ministry that refurbished donated vehicles and provides them, only by refrral, to families and individuals on the path to restoring their standard and quality of life.

My family donated a car recently. The experience was easy and hassle-free. We were referred to Wheels 4 Hope by our pastor at Ekklesia Church Raleigh.

Great organization. We've partnered with them for several years now, helping repair cars for families in need. They don't just give cars away, they screen recipients and educate them in various aspects, helping them to stabilize their lives. They have protocol for donated vehicles or standards which they go by to decide which vehicles will make the cut or be sold for income to invest in other potential program cars. They do it right!

I donated my old car to Wheels 4 Hope. Wheels 4 Hope fixes up old cars and provides them to people who have fallen on hard times and/or are starting over. My car was still in decent shape and I wanted to see it go to someone who could use it instead of a junkyard, so this was a good fit. The people with this charity were very friendly and talked me through the steps I needed to do in order to donate the car. The person who came to pick up the car was nice and very efficient. I'd recommend looking into this sort of donation if you have an older car that's in decent shape that you're looking to find a new home for.

I had a wonderful experience with donating my car to Wheels4Hope. They were very cordial in their emails, never pushy. What I liked most of all was after the donation they sent a card via mail with who it was being donated to (first name) and the adversity they had personally experienced and that they were attending school for a specific degree. I challenge many of the big companies who have fleet cars to donate at the end of the timeframe for company use. It's a tax write off and others can surely benefit! Also great to put on your company home page .....DONATION!

Wheels4Hope managed this process extremely well and the outcome was a true win / win. They explained the process up front, outlining the steps they would follow and the paperwork that needed to be completed. They had volunteers come by my house to pick up the car, and even returned my plates to the DMV. I am very pleased someone was able to use my car and after the fact they followed up with the appropriate paperwork I needed to claim the tax write-off. Turned disposing of an 11 year old car in to a positive experience.

Not quite the charitable organization I thought they were. I donated a very reliable and well maintained 9 year old vehicle when we moved out of state because we didn't have time to sell it and wanted to give back to the community. The only thing wrong on the vehicle was a lack of working A/C. Two months after donating the car, and not hearing anything back yet, we called to check the status. Turns out they sold the car to LKQ to be picked apart as scrap for $750. Their reasoning for selling it to LKQ was that it would cost more to fix than they could get back out of it. That sounds more like something a used car dealership would say, rather than a nonprofit charitable organization. If I knew that they were going to sell a perfectly good, running car, for SCRAP, then I would have rather taken it to the women's shelter and GIVEN it to someone who needed it. I honestly thought that's what Wheels for Hope WOULD have done. I will never recommend this "charity" to anyone ever again.
