I initially found 1st Choice Towing. I had a flat tire, and explained that the tire shop was closing soon and I needed my car towed to them before closing. They told me it would be no issue. Luckily the tire shop was willing to wait for me, because after HOURS of waiting (outside in my car) I called them back for the 3rd time and was told that I missed them. That's when I found Affordable Auto Repair and Towing. I called and the gentleman told me that he was on his way. He arrived about 20 mins later. He quoted me a super reasonable and affordable price and got my car, myself, and my son to the shop in no time! True life saver! Definitely my go-to from now on. Thank you again! ❤️
Awesome service. Came to my rescue when my truck would not start and returned my vehicle to my home. I will be taking all of my work to Affordable Auto. Five star service all the way around.
My vehicle transmission failed and I was on my from Delaware to Florida and was stranded in Lumberton and Affordable was able to get me back on the road as soon as possible good people and service
I took my truck to 3 different places to get the heat fixed. I spent so much money and was told so many different things, but still no heat. I took it here, and within minutes he not only told me what was wrong, but he showed me so I could see the problem. I can tell you this, I give him 5 stars because the work was completed rather quickly, the price was way lower than what I paid the other mechanics who never fixed the issue, and he's very friendly. I'm very satisfied and have claimed him as my new mechanic.....
It’s taken me 5 years to write this review, because I just don’t usually write them but here we go.
I moved cross country in 2020 and had just had my car worked on prior to moving to make sure it would hold up. About two hours from my destination my tire ricocheted off the wheel well, hit the window and rolled down the highway. The bolts had completely sheered off. It was Fourth of July weekend and everyone was closed but I called Clinto and he came and got my car even though he was on his way home to celebrate. He had to completely re-build the entire wheel well. It took about a week or a little longer but he was was very communicative the entire time and was super thorough in his work. He was also just a joy to talk to. You can tell he puts pride and care into his work and truly loves working in cars.
4-5 years later and it still holds up and is amazing.
I was driving from Myrtle Beach SC, to Raleigh NC and my truck broke down around 7am on a Saturday morning in Lumberton NC. I called around to several shops, no one would take my issues. I finally got in touch with Affordable Auto, and not only did they want to help me out, they arranged a tow for my truck. I highly recommend this shop, their customer service is the best. They took care of my issues and got me back on the road in a timely matter. The guys are the shop were fair and honest with the prices. Even know it was a Saturday and I was from out of town, they treated me like family! They even followed up the following day on Sunday to make sure everything was still running correctly.
My engine died on 95 I was able to roll off the exot i called and Clinton came right away. My engine is a gonner but Clinton was so great he only charged me a small fee for the tow. I was scared and stranded with 2 kids and clinton was so reassuring and even gave us a ride to help solve the situation. Very kind!

I had my truck worked on by two mechanics before passing through Lumberton and having my check engine light come back on... Clinton, diagnosed the problem and promptly repaired what two others mechanics failed to...
Very happy with the service but even more thankful to know that there there are still honest people in the world. I didn't know a single person in Lumberton but I'm glad that I met the folks down at Affordable Auto.
I would highly recommend this shop, best experience ever..not only came and towed my truck but also fixed in in a very timely manner.. just wish I could of found this place sooner..
Fixed car. Tried to charge me for additional services. Without telling me about it. I told Mechanic thats not what we agreed. He wrote paperwork as a "loss", and accepted agreed Payment, and said to do better next time. Unprofessional experience. Said he experiences problems from black customers only. I am black. I do not recommend.
Very disappointed with the customer service I received. The mechanic talked very condescendingly and rude when discussing prices and the minor work I wanted done on my truck. The chevy dealership charges the same WITH warranties.

This mechanic shop is the worst ever! Don't bring your business here. The mechanic did not call and give me estimates of his work or parts before fixing my vehicle then over charged me on parts after I told him I wanted to keep the old starter taken off the truck (I had a 1yr warranty with my starter. I could have returned it and got my money back)and told what starter I needed so I can buy the part myself. The mechanic then told me if I wanted to do anything about the old part,to take him to court. His secretary is the rudest. She cussed me out and threaten to fight me over me telling the mechanic I wanted my old part. He tried to ban me from the property while still having my truck in their possession. The BBB does not even back this company due to them not following all rules and regulations needed to beat reputable auto mechanic shop. The starter for my truck is only $90 and they charged me $210 for the starter and they only paid $54 for the starter themself. Rude and unprofessional auto care should be the name of this business.
We felt like guests, not just customers! The hospitality, kindness and urgency is truly appreciated. We broke down at 2am and received a call back in minutes from Clinton, the owner. He got us in for 8am and he also helped pick up the new part we needed for the repair and got us back on the road in no time!! He was very organized and even shared some tips for a smoother ride. Because of him we are seeing our family for Thanksgiving and truly believe he was heaven sent ?? THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS!
Mr Leach is one of the nicest most conscientious person I’ve been privileged to meet. Myself and three other ladies traveled to an event in Lumberton two+ hours from our home Saturday. My vehicles check engine light came on and the car was running rough. Mr Leach was the only mechanic that responded to my call for assistance. He came to the event center, picked up the car, fixed it and delivered it back the same day…ON A SATURDAY!!! He was also kind and thoughtful enough to call and ensure that we had arrived home safely that night. We need more Mr Leach’s in this world!!
Yesterday my friends and I traveled to Lumberton to attend an event, when our check engine light came on and the cars performance declined. Clinton came out to our location, evaluated the situation and then towed the vehicle back to his shop to make the necessary repairs. Luckily he was able to repair the vehicle and return it to us that same day, saving us from having to either spend the night or rent a car to travel the 2hrs back home. Clinton was nothing but professional and courteous, going out of his way on a Saturday to get 4 strangers back on the road safely. He even followed up with a phone call later that evening to make sure we made it home safely and that the cars performance was satisfactory. Called him because my car broke down, he was there in a hurry. Fixed my car (battery was loose) with out blaming it on something else. Fast, kind and great customer care!
I took my car in because of a radiator leak. I received the most friendliest and informative repair. Mr. Leach the owner was efficient and straight forward. He answered all my question without attitude. I will recommend him to everyone I know.
This owner towed our car to his shop himself at 9am and had our baby done by 11:30am, 30mins ahead of the time intended. Professional, fast, and affordable service. I will be returning and will refer anyone I know to this shop.
They are very professional they got me in, had my car fixed in a timely manner as promised prices were reasonable and I will definitely be using them again.
