I would not recommend doing business with this place! My insurance company uses them if you are in a wreck and they came and picked my car up to do an assessment for my insurance company to determine the damage costs and no one told me that I needed to have all my personal belongings out of my car before they picked it up. When I went to get my car they had stripped everything out of my car and had it in a plastic trash bag. They even took off my seat covers. I didn’t understand at the time why they had to remove everything out of my car, including my seat covers to assess damages done to the outside of my car on the front end. Then the manager at the Lumberton NC location Informed me that my insurance company had told them that I would not be getting my car back. So instead of making sure there was any documentation that I had signed, giving up my car, they went ahead and removed everything out of it to take pictures so they could sell it on their site. Then they were in a huge hurry to get me off of the property with my car so they could lock the gate and go home. When I got home and started going through the trash bag of my belongings, I found out that they had kept a lot of of my stuff out of my car, including some protection crystals and a guardian angel necklace that was given to me when my nine-year-old son was killed. I tried to get up with the manager, Erica, and she is refusing to talk to me about my missing belongings. I was instructed to get in touch with my insurance company. My insurance company is telling me that it is on Copart to find my belongings. I really feel like national General (my ins company) And Copart were working together to try to keep my car. They also kept a pair of prescription sunglasses that I paid around $300 for that was in my glove box. So now I’ve got to try to come up with the money to be able to pay out-of-pocket again for another pair. They stole Bath and body Works, body spray, several car chargers with a car plug that I have bought through my phone company and was not a cheap one from the store, a car magnet to hold my phone, and several business documents that was in my glove box. There was also countless other items that was in my center console and glove box that they kept. They also Damaged the window switch for my passenger front window so now I have to buy another door panel for my driver door that works all of my locks and windows. This just makes me wonder how many other people before me that they’ve done this too and stolen their personal property? But the fact that they’re refusing to even Talk to me to try to figure out a way to resolve. This issue tells me that they know they did wrong and they have no intention on making it right. I feel like the office manager, Erica, knows what happened to my personal property. I guess my first red flag should’ve been When they were trying to rush me off the property so fast and not giving me a chance to go through my personal belongings to make sure everything was there. I do plan on getting in touch with the BBB to file a complaint against them and my insurance company and I’m waiting on the sheriff to get back with me to file a police report for the damages to my car and the theft of my personal property. I’m really hoping that my Story can keep other people from possibly going through this in the future. It could’ve all been avoided if my insurance company would’ve told me to make sure that all my stuff was out of the car before it was picked up and it could’ve also been avoided if Copart would’ve made sure that I was not getting my car back before they decided to remove my personal property from my car. The fact that they removed personal property out of a vehicle that belong to someone else is very upsetting!
I called the lady asked if I can go inside despite that I didn’t receive message that I can come in from member sign in she said yes, then I tried explaining that the car I wanted to preview was assigned to auction and that it wasn’t in the sale lot before i could’ve told her this she just hunged up on me.
Then they said I would have to wait till the loaders bring the car to sale lot before I can go out to the lot. They never updated me or nothing I had to go on the app to check and then go out when the car was in sale lot. I was standing a good 20 mins atleast probably wasted 15 mins if they would’ve said that my car was in sale lot but they were quiet.
I had to call twice not once twice to get someone out here to jumpstart a car for me and then finally when I was finished went back inside the office and I hear one of the women say “there he goes” very unprofessional and rude to just have me standing inside office waiting to get update that I can go look at the car.
Also there lot is very unorganized; I’ve been to other Copart locations and they have signs or stickers on fence saying ex: sb , sa etc this location had none of that.
Not knowing when your car will be delivered is frustrating when you pay. No updates or anything. If you get it yourself you either get it quick or wait forever. Life doesn't need to be this frustrating. On day 2 of paying and no signs when it will arrive. End of day...going on 3rd day
Update : Recieved a call at 7:25p.m April 2nd that cars are on the way within an hour .
This place is a joke really I was getting on here on their website to buy my car back from them waiting for them to post the car just looking I was messing around looking at the reviews oh boy they was right about this place they posted my car, I bought a membership, went to the place on the same day I forgot that I had my gun on my side but walked in the place everyone saw it but they didn’t say anything about it but anyway I asked the woman if I could look at my car but she said that it was not ready but I told her that I will check on a rv, more cars she said okay, gave me a vest, I put it on, went outside to the rv when I got done with looking at the rv I was walking to the cars there was 2 machines the things that picks cars up coming at me they was so close hitting me I got out of the way I don’t know if they was trying to be funny or what so I was going to the cars again there was 2 workers, a manager screaming and coming at me talking about I can’t be out in the yard okay I was confused because the woman let me go in the yard she gave me a safety vest, signed a paper so yeah when I asked him what wrong he didn’t want to say anything he was wanting me to kick me out of the place when we got in the office he started bitching at me about my gun so I put it in my car when I was walking back in the place I was looking for signs for no guns allow outside the doors so I didn’t see nun I asked him where is the sign for no guns allow he showed me a little sign that it was inside of the building knowing that nobody won’t see it plus it needs to be outside not inside of the building like every bank they put them outside not inside but I apologize to him few times about the gun because i didn’t know because that was my first time going there but he was losing his shit with me I’m just 22, he is older than me acting like a child picking fights with me yeah I understand him about the gun thing but I put it in my car, I apologized to him few times nothing was good for him so I took the vest off, folded it nicely, gave it back to him because I’m was not going to get on a little kid level with him at all when I was walking out he said that I’m going to cancel your membership so I wasted my 99 dollars like I said before this place is a joke each review was right unprofessional as hell, horrible i was wanting to buy my old car back dang At lest I’m not the only one
No one is ever there to answer the phone. And the times I've called to get a returned call I've never been returned the call. How are they running this business or is this even a business?
Buyer beware!! Copart will advertise products to buyers as engine start program fully knowing that is not true to try and sell something. Here is one of the many examples that we have experienced. Also when you call to speak with the manager Daniel he will be extremely unprofessional and hang up on you.
This place is horrible went to see a car and when we went inside the lady said “I’ll be with you shortly” she never came after 10 minutes of waiting so we go out to the yard and try to find the car the people who work there said you need to go in to have them find a car and I asked if they could just help because the lady wouldn’t and they didn’t. Apparently you have to stay right at the entrance and they bring the car to you problem is they don’t do their job. After looking we find the car and look at it for about one minute before getting chased down by the excavators they then say we can’t be here but they weren’t clear about where we can be. We go back into the building and try to talk to the lady again “be with you shortly” she never came she never help there is only one person working to “help” in there and they don’t do their job when the manager I’m guessing came to tell us we can’t do what we did we told how they never helped and then when we did they threatened to delete our account finally when we say that she never helped many times she finally “helped” the car is literally up for sale you can bid on it and she says that they can’t pull the car because it’s not up for sale when I legit have a bid down on the car she kept saying it over again and when I said why does it say that all she says is “I don’t know “ there was another car we wanted to see and IS UP FOR SALE she says they can’t pull it because it’s not for sale long story short these people don’t do there job don’t help and is the worst copart I’ve been ever after I purchase this car they will no longer get my business absolutely terrible wasted 2 hours driving there
Do not use this company I'm waiting 2 weeks for them to pick up a car and I've payed over $2000 in storage fees when I asked when the lady said when we get to it and hung up on me.
I was trying yo buy a golf cart. This place is a scam. First of all it said retail 17k the unit was salvage flood. And came to find out they retail for 10k. Thats false advertisement. I bid on the unit and I was the highest bidder being pure sale I thought I won the auction. They send me an email and said I didnt win it. They countered. A d 4 days later after I refused to counter they send me an email this time I won the item. Thats agains auction regulations. I will take legal actions. Beware they are crooks. After all these, They took 1k from me for relisting an item that should have never been added to my account.

Very bad service the drivers too slow and just 1 for 5 semi trucks and after 1 hour here the guy loaded cars to 3 persons before me and they arrived 10 min ago ??
The service was fast and efficient. Would definitely recommend. This is my first time purchasing from Copart Lumberton, I usually purchase from Copart Raleigh, but the staff here was great, no complaints
As a transporter and a buyer I have been to probably 20 copart locations, this location has the rudest employees of any I have been to. The nicer I “tried” to be the worse it was. I can’t wait to buy a car there and be rude back.
Absolutely the cleanest copart I've ever been too, also the lady doing the paperwork was so fast I'm surprised she hasn't worked herself out of something to do. I wud definitely buy from these guys in the future if it wasnt over 1000 miles from where I live. They get my 10 stars!
They were a lot of help in getting me loaded and out the door !they were very helpful and friendly ! I have been to thirty or more of copart yards in the past 25 to 30 years and some are awful !!!
I HAVE BEEN BUYING CARS FOR OVER 40 YEARS AND FROM COPART FOR MANY YEARS AND I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THAT THE PEOPLE AT LUMBERTON ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY.
ALSO THE YARD IS THE NICEST, NEATEST AND CLEANEST OF THE MANY COPARTS THAT I HAVE ATTENDED.

They be false advertising alot me and a couple of my buddies bought cars from there that dont even run when clearly on the internet it said the car run/drive. Watch out for the flood cars as well they wait until you buy the car to put flood car on title
Great customer service! Went over and beyond to make me a repeat customer. The lot manager Hunter made sure that my customer was happy with the experience!
