Not cool! Today, May 23,2026 (Holiday weekend. I live in Cannonsgate. Fishing with my grandson and these oafs came right up behind us mowing and weed trimming. They threw grass on my grandson! As if they couldn’t mow around us. In addition, they don’t trim the weeds around the pond at main entrance. The fountain in same pond nonoperative for weeks. Again big pond at main drive!
Very clean establishment, met with Andrew and Brandon both guys are super knowledgeable, great place if your looking for a team with experience to get the job done.
Ordered a truckload of topsoil and it included local delivery. Topsoil was of decent quality (nice loam, minimal debris, not too sandy, good and dark). Delivery came on time. I appreciate that they have a printed price list and the woman working the front desk was super friendly and helpful.
March 2024 update: We ordered 2 loads of fill dirt and it was good quality, good price and delivered (2 twelve ton loads). Despite some complications with our yard and preferred dumping location, these guys went above and beyond to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. Shout out to driver Jason - first rate pro! Highly recommend!
Andrew and his team installed a permeable patio with a surrounding wall at our home. Chandler, Chico, and Eric delivered outstanding work, taking their time to ensure every detail was handled correctly. Andrew provided expert advice on materials and colors, which was just what we needed. The finished project turned out perfectly
Awesome experience today. We needed a truckload of #57 Granite to finish our driveway and Yard Barber saved the day! Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, sample stones were easy to select from, and truck arrived exactly on time. Driver was very polite and happy despite the Friday afternoon delivery. YB really came through!
I replaced my septic system in Newport, I got several quotes, they were not the cheapest. But not the most expensive. Once they started the project they were done with in 3 days. They were polite and professional. I would recommend them to anyone that needs major yard work done.
I get deliveries from them every few months. They have a large selection of materials. Sand, ABC, stone, rip rap, and many other aggregates. Kelsey is great, and everyone there is so friendly. I enjoy the family atmosphere with friendly dogs and kids playing whenever I go inside.
Andrew and his crew at The Yard Barber did an amazing job. They were professional and so easy to work with. Discussing changes and asking for recommendations - they delivered more than I expected. I highly recommend them and plan on using them again on my new build/landscape.
I messaged the Yard Barber on a Saturday afternoon for them to give me an estimate on doing my shrubs. They got back to me and asked my address, I told them and they said they would try to get by my house that day. I told them we would be leaving our house at 5 and they messaged me back that they were on their way. So my husband and me went out to talk with them when they arrived, they gave us an estimate and said they could do it now….so they trimmed our shrubs and did a few other things and our yard looks awesome! We have been trying to get someone to give us an estimate and the Yard Barber was the only one that got back to us!!

VERY Disappointed with Yard Barber. I was told that they had the ONE treatment to kill Mole Crickets in my lawn... Wrong.... Had to do a 2nd treatment and they billed me for both saying they never said ONE would do the job. I had a quote for them to sod my yard, was set up in February... April came and went and nothing scheduled... I would strongly recommend Carolina Home and Garden... Brian Watson Excellent to work with... Yard Barber will rip you off.
Andrew and his crew take care of our yard and have been amazing to work with. They are always on time and leave my yard looking amazing. Their maintenance program is awesome also. I highly recommend them as they are the most reliable, fair, and honest lawn company in town.
