Parked the truck and sat here for a bit. Nice spot to do so.

A nice overlook with an unobstructed view of the mountains. Plenty of place to park and get out to stretch south grass. Sad that people have to keep vandalizing the signs.

Beautiful place, the views are just amazing! If your in the area or are looking for something to do on the weekend then this is it!

Nice overlook. We saw a train pass through while we were there.

Another spectacular view. We get to see several mountain ranges. You can hear the train if it comes through. See other towns. It’s the opposite side to see the sunset.

A beautiful view looking down on my home county. North cove is one of the prettiest parts of McDowell county. I think it's best viewed in the morning when the fog and mist is rising off the hills and mountains.

Linville Falls are awesome to go and see so nice and peaceful

Very neat place to visit! The parking lot was quite clean even there are no trash cans at this location. The bathroom had a broken door lock, so use that at your own risk. Overall, the view from the overlook itself is fantastic. There are two outcroppings that allow you a better view of the gorge below. It is handicapped accessible to a point. You're not able to access either of the outcroppings due to stairs.
