Excellent service. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The gentleman that helped me listened to me and then helped me select the best wipers that fit my budget, answered my questions and then installed them free. As a senior female, I trust the folks at Advance.
I needed a battery for my Miata. Went to the Kernersville store and their battery was leaking. They told me they could order one and that the Walkertown store had one. Zach from the Kville store (extremely helpful) called and made sure it wasn't leaking.
Get there and Bryan (name on the receipt) installed the battery. The car wouldn't start. He had to jump start it and assured me that it was fine and would charge as I drove.
Doubting this, I went back to the Kville store and had Zach test the battery and it was a faulty battery. He ordered one and replaced it today, but because Bryan from the WT store cross threaded a bolt on a bracket that holds the battery in place, the bolt snapped and now I am driving a car with a loose battery that is now my responsibility to repair.
This has been a frustrating event but Zach has been super helpful throughout and has gone above and beyond.
I wished that there was a better resolution so that I am not driving around with a battery that is unsecured in my car.
Kudos to William and Anthony!! I stopped in for an emergency check of my battery on 7/26/25. They quickly assessed my issue and were able to get me back on the road. This was very helpful as I was more than an hour away from home, traveling by myself and worried about making it back safely. Thank you William and Anthony!!
I needed a new battery and both of the associates who helped me were great. They both were super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Really appreciate then putting in my new battery on this very cold day. Will definitely go back and this will be my to go place for the small repairs.
I go to Advance Auto a lot these days. They men and women that work there are very helpful with any questions you might have . You can get in and out of there with everything you need in a remarkably short amount of time.

Neither employee on Friday 3/17 around 8pm knew how to disconnect and install a battery on a 2015 Jeep Sahara. For the price of the battery they should have known how to do something. Very disappointing and one of the employees owned a Jeep. God help him when his breaks down.
The associate that "helped" us was at least knowledgeable about the layout of the store but that was the extent of how helpful they were. I came in for fuse lamps and a paint pen. When I showed them the fuse lamps they very rudely said they were just regular fuses (because I didn't just pull them out of my vanity mirror light 🙄) and couldn't help us. They were able to find the pai t pen that matched my car but I could have easily done that myself.
Sale person was great. Needed a battery for my uncle car he was very knowledgeable great customer service courtesy and professional. Remove and installed new battery without making a mess. Thank you!!
I was looking for a kerosene can, and no one in town had any. So, by chance, I contacted them, and my luck was good. He had one and saved it for me. Thank you for your kindness.
Employees were very helpful and had what I needed at a fair price. No lines and was in and out in 5 minutes! They said if it dosen't work to bring it back for a refund!
Great staff. Attentive when I entered, they greeted me withing 10 steps/10 seconds, displayed all the expected Covid precautions, had up to date signage, all while juggling the endless onslaught of phone calls. What a team!
Thanks for selling me the wrong parts! Because of you guys I've actually become a pretty good mechanic because I have to do every repair at least three times. It takes you guys that many times to give me the right part!
The technician was very friendly and helpful. She took her time to assess my situation and decide what my issue was with my car. She cleaned my cables which some corrosion. I tried to give her a tip bc she was so gracious, which she refused.
The guy was helpful but I feel he was profiling me that I was going to steal something even though I was obviously holding a wallet full of cash. Maybe he was trying to sell me something either way unless I ask you leave me be.
Generally a good experience. the downside to this store is you will find the prices are slightly higher than those in kernersville and Winston-Salem locations. Parts availability is very hit-or-miss but the truck will typically have your part in by 3pm. I really wish the store would honor gift cards online.
The service was excellent! With the exception that the guy is a Cowboys fan! It beats going to the dealership being charged a kidney just to tell me that I a $300 battery!
Purchased an alternator online. Got some stuff together and go to pick up in stock alternator maybe 20 minutes later. Hand my printed receipt and the guy says, it's not in the system yet. I said, here is the purchase receipt. It's not in the system yet. Can't you just look up the confirmation number? No, it's not in the system yet... Does that not sound a little asinine in this age of technology? Just beware of what that 20% online discount means.

I stopped in because I didn't have a working tire gauge in my vehicle and someone at the gas station a few doors down suggested having an associate at Advance check the pressure for me. Since it was a hot day and I was dressed in nicer clothes, I thought I would do just that! Upon arriving at Advance Auto Parts, the associate working the counter informed me that they didn't check tire pressure. At this point I was NOT inclined to even purchase my tire pressure gauge at this store, if they couldn't, at least, help me by checking the pressure in my tires. They install new wiper blades and check "check engine" lights. How much trouble could it be to check tire pressure?
I bought my tire pressure gauge, but only because I had no other option.
I won't be back.
Poor service. Had a warranty on my parts and was told I could not get my part that I bought 3 weeks ago replaced. No knowledge of the part what so ever. Will not do business with them any more. The other stores exchanged with no problem.
