Great experience. I hope everyone recovers successfully from the storm. It seems like everywhere now needs to rebuild further away from waterways unfortunately. Or really plan for the increasing floods.
After I moved into my first apartment, I wanted to recycle all my cans and had no idea how it worked. The guys here have been super helpful, friendly and informative every time I come by and even when I have stupid questions. For a scrap place, it's also very clean and organized.
Truckers: take 240, you can turn around once your are inside the place. It's tight but ask for help and they will inform you what to do..and put your axle lock (4wheel) when u get in.. place can b muddy around back
Great place to pick up extra cash while doing your part to maintain an eco friendly lifestyle. They take all precious metals as well ferrous metals. Dont be discouraged by a small amount of recyclables, I only had a few pound of recyclables and put an extra ten bucks in my pocket. I had never been to this facility before so I wasn't in the system, after being registered, having my materials sorted, and being processed, I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Courteous staff made sure metals placed in the correct category for recycling so all I had to do was show up and get paid. Cash on the spot and in my pocket.
Very nice experience , first time there because my regular yard was closed for the week for a well deserved vacation but I plan on using them again soon, very much worth the extra drive from Hendersonville for sure!
I’ve been using BIMCo for the past 11 years for my scrap metal needs. They pay top dollar for copper and brass and I love picking. Convenient location and friendly staff.
It is the highest paying scrap yard in the Asheville/Buncombe County area. They have very nice employees and they're very knowledgeable about what, how, and why certain types of metal, copper, steel , & etc. sell for the prices they do. Also most of the time they pay you the highest amount they can.
I always highly recommend taking everything hear they have the best employees and prices whenever anyone ask where they should take the scrap I'm always the first to say biltmore iron & metal!!! Yall are awesome!
I'm glad people get paid to sit there on and play on their phones instead of helping you carry stuff when you OBVIOUSLY have alot.... I will go ANYWHERE BUT HERE FOR NOW ON!!!!
The guys down at Biltmore Iron always give great service, and treat you fairly. For a place that is always got a lot of trash moving thru there, they sure do a great job of keeping things neat and orderly. There is another salvage yard within 1 mile of where I live, but I prefer to drive 15 miles to do business with these great folks.
This is a wonderful local business run by fantastic people. They do a great job. I am personally very happy they are closed during this inclement weather - glad the business respects the safety of their employees and customers.
A Bimco tractor trailer driving on 26 towards Tennessee did not have their load properly secured and droped a huge pile of trash on 26. **After this being posted, the company responded right away and offered to pick it up. While I had stopped and gotten most of it ( with some other people's help), the quick reply is awesome. Thank you.
I stopped by and bought some steel tubing. I didn't save much by getting scrap vs. New material, but it was a way of very direct recycling that was more environmentally responsible. It's also fun to look around and be inspired by something you could make from pieces you find.
First off I have been dealing with Biltmore Iron & Metal for quite some time now and as a customer I have to say that this is the one and only scrap yard for me !! I am there atleast 3 or more times a week and I have never been treated in any sort of disrespectful way ever!! The staff here are EXCELLENT at what they do, as well as treat me with the utmost respect. I see alot that goes on in their daily routine and think that they have been extremely REASONABLE, PATIENT, HONEST, and PLEASING to all customers and not just myself, as well put the CUSTOMER first and always keep the customers SAFETY as a high priority. I would highly recommend that if you have any type of scrap to sell or even need to purchase a few items Biltmore Iron & Metal is the ONLY way to go!!!!!

But you guys are so friendly, attentive and helpful, so I felt very comfortable and at ease. I knew I needed to get rid of some of this stuff that i just kept hanging on to because i just didn't know what to do with it.... Glad I found you.
I have sold scrap metal and cans to Biltmore Iron and Metal every time I've ever sold it!!! I have never had a bad experience from the employees, just other customers. The employees and the services provided are great. The employees were even allowed to come to my father-in-laws funeral because they knew him & he didn't even work there. This a great company and their prices are fair and competitive.
I have been many times and its always the same old grumpy people in the upstairs building when I sell my copper. This last time it was someone new and they helped me separate my copper to make more money. That is why I will continue going to biltmore metal.
AVOID this place for a myriad of reasons, not least is their rude, horrendous customer service. I enjoy recycling as a hobby and as a way to help the environment. They make the experience as unenjoyable and painful as possible. They should be ashamed of the way they conduct business. I advise anyone interested in being treated fairly to take their business elsewhere.
