Please don't go anywhere else for your towing needs. This guy's got it all wrapped into one business. He is kind and thoughtful and does just what he says. And he has the best price of anyone around, believe me I checked! When the weather messed up our plans he did it the next day just as he said he would and got it to the dealership for me very quickly. I would highly recommend him and I will never use anyone else. He also answers the phone or text at any time. You can go wrong using him.
He is incredible! So knowledgeable and helpful. I was stuck in my Honda Civic past elderberry ridge road going up towards beech mountain on a road that was closed off (there was no signage) with about 6 inches of snow all around me. I gave him a call and he came in his pickup truck within a half hour and was able to pull me out. He reassured me when I was panicking about not being able to get out of the bank I was in. And after all of this, he was also extremely reasonable with his pricing. He was determined to get me out in the least expensive way possible while still protecting my car. I honestly couldn’t recommend him enough. Please use him if you’re stuck in a rut (or in my case a bank) or just needing to get towed!
Saved us!!! We were in a real bad position halfway up the mountain. Derick came and helped us. It was already getting late, temp 1 degree. He was beyond kind, got us down the mountain and did not leave us till we figured out our situation. Real professional and kind hearted! Can’t say enough! THANK YOU! You truly saved us! Derrick was the best and we couldn't have gotten luckier than to have him assist us. We were driving to an AirBNB and our car slipped backwards on an icy road and into a ditch at 10:30 p.m. on a Sunday night. We called him and he came immediately. He not only got the car out of the ditch in terrible weather conditions, but he showed us how to drive safely down the road. He was incredibly nice and I recommend him to anyone who wants perfect service by a very kind person.
Traveler’s towing saved my day!! They were able to get to me in 30 minutes to winch my suburban out of a snowy ditch. So grateful for their professionalism and compassionate driver!! I highly recommend their service.
Our family was on our way to Tennessee when we encountered a deer, crossing the road. We were very fortunate that it did limited damage to the front of our vehicle. We contacted Travelers Towing and they were out in less than 30 minutes. He did a great job, cutting away the excess damaged plastic and saved the wiring harness from being damaged and took the time to zip tie it up, so it would not keep us from driving to our destination. I recommend using Travelers Towing for any service to your vehicle. They are an excellent company that really cares about their customers.
My wife and I live out of town and planned a skiing trip to Sugar mountain. We stayed at an Airbnb up on a mountain that had a gravel road. We are not used to navigating snowy/icy roads and It had snowed about 6 inches a couple days prior so the road was still covered in snow and ice. Of course, our 2wd car got stuck on the way up the mountain. Derrick answered the call late on a Friday and was out to us in about 10 minutes. It was a very hectic situation on a one lane uphill gravel road next to a fairly large cliff. He remained calm, never panicked, and handled the situation appropriately. Which gave my wife and I a sense of relief and calmness during a stressful situation. Given the situation I don’t think any other commercial/mainstream tow service would’ve even touched our car, but he had no issues. He also helped another car that was stuck on that same road after he got our car out. I would recommend Derrick 10/10 times to anyone in the area who is needing a tow or winch out. He was also more than fair on the price. Thank you Derrick!
Derrick is the most professional and kind soul on earth. When I was stranded with my friends, he answered the call and helped when no one else would (not even Triple A would help us!!!!). Derrick answered immediately and treated me and my friends with respect, and he made sure we were taken care of without hesitation.
From start to finish, he was calm, reliable, humorous (we shared a few jokes and laughed together a lot), and genuinely compassionate. It's one thing to just show up to do a job, but Derrick actually cared about our safety and ability to endure either staying another day on the mountain or getting off the mountain.
If you ever need towing or roadside assistance, I cannot recommend Derrick highly enough. This is the kind of professionalism and humanity that one prays to encounter when in a bind, and it definitely sets him apart.
If I could, I would name the mountain after Derrick because he was the only one willing to drive up in the snowy conditions and lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it, all while offering the fairest price possible.
Derrick was absolutely amazing. We were stuck on a hill in the Blue Ridge Mountains in the early hours of the morning and were scared and unsure of who would even come out to help us. Derrick showed up calm, professional, and incredibly reassuring. He was warm, kind, and made sure we got exactly where we needed to be safely. He turned a very stressful situation into one where we felt taken care of. Truly excellent service, I can’t recommend him enough!

He got us out of the ditch we were stuck in AND made sure we got down the icy road and to our neighborhood. There aren't a lot of things worth the money in 2025 but Travelers Towing is.
Don’t bother with another company. Go straight to Travelers Towing. Derrick is one of the kindest and most professional people I have ever met. When my friends and I were stuck in the mountains, he showed up when no one else would. I’m a AAA member and they provided zero assistance. Derrick showed up as quickly as he could, got us out of the location where we were stranded, then took the extra step of guiding us down the mountain on the phone. Five stars aren’t enough!

If I could give this company 100 stars I would! Derrick was a life saver!!! He got to us in less than 40 minutes, had an amazing personality and made sure we got to where we were going safe. No other company would answer the phone or come to where we were stuck, but Derrick did at 3:00 am, with a smile. God bless this company and a special blessing for Derrick.

Derrick was fantastic! I was stuck in the mud pretty far down a washed-out road, and he got my car out with patience and good humor. The first towing place I'd contacted wouldn't even dare go down Hemlock Trail, but Derrick wasn't fazed by the task. To my utter relief, Derrick got me out of my sorry situation with relative ease and grace. I am forever grateful to Derrick for rescuing my car in a timely, professional manner. He sure knows what he's doing! I also found his rates quite reasonable, considering the amount of work & time involved. Derrick at Travelers Towing is the BEST!

Wow! What great service! Derrick is so kind and took care of us quickly. It is a cold night so he was thoughtful enough to make sure we would be picked up in time so we wouldn’t freeze. If you ever need a tow, reach out to him. God willing we don’t need another tow, but if we do, we will call him again.
I accidentally locked my keys in my truck while on a ski trip in Beech Mountain last weekend. The truck was also at the bottom of a steep driveway and snowed in. Derrick was very responsive and unlocked the door, but also hooked me up and pulled the truck up to the top of the driveway. We decided to take the truck to the bottom of the mountain so we could leave safely the next morning. All the way down the mountain, Derrick stayed with us and at one point had to hook up again to the truck and pull us up a hill. I highly recommend Travelers Towing, he went above and beyond and saved us in a tough situation.
Derrick was a fantastic help! He was quick and efficient and helped take away my stress. Very friendly, would recommend a thousand times over. The cost was lower than anyone else around, which was an added bonus!
Excellent customer service and response time. I had a car backed into my driveway blocking me from getting out and I called several companies nearby. Derrick was available and promptly came out and surveyed the situation. He quickly and efficiently solved this problem, with a fair price! I cannot highly recommend him and his company enough. He was fair, polite, and respectful. He even watched the curve that my driveway is in to make sure I got out safely. Derrick was called because we had a flat tire on our Jeep. He changed the flat with our spare and it looked good to get us to the tire store. A couple blocks down the road the tire went flat. Derrick came back and towed our Jeep to the tire store for us. He went above and beyond. Introduced us to the tire manager and all went well. Awesome guy, personable, a local, all around good guy. If ever we need a tow or vehicle help will definitely only call Derrick Jones! Highly Recommended. Thanks so much Derrick!
Our car got stuck going up a mountain over the weekend and Derrick absolutely saved our vacation! No one else was willing to come out in the bad weather but he got out to us in 30 minutes. He was so kind and professional, not to mention very reasonably priced especially for the conditions!! I would recommend this company to everyone, we had another couples car get stuck and he came out again the same night. I cannot say enough good things about Derrick and Travelers Towing!!!!!!

Slid my SUV into the snow filled ditch. Called at 10pm on a Friday night and was super responsive.
He got me on the schedule the very next day at 10am (side note we were in a Weather advisory, roads were covered w about 6+” of new snow).
He communicated early that morning, let me know his timing and how the other jobs went, also that traffic was building due to the snow and ski resort and was going to a few mins behind. I really appreciated his communication. It’s great customer service and very courteous, which seems to be lacking lately.
He was able to figure out how to pull my SUV out, no damage, in a short 30 minutes. Before leaving he made sure I was fully out and drove on the road a little.
I spent 2 hrs trying to dig myself out the night prior, should have just called Derrick immediately and drank more beers that night.
The younger gentleman with him was also very pleasant.
Thanks man! You’re on speed dial if I ever get stuck again.
