I WALKED IN expecting to make an appointment to have a headlight replaced and the girls at the desk said OH WE CAN DO THAT RIGHT NOW. I was VERY happy. Avery has always come through for me. I have lived in Newland for 5 years and would never consider going elsewhere. Thank you to the wonderful staff.

Super friendly office and mechanic staff. Helped us at closing time because we had a bubble on our tire and it was unsafe to drive. Total ended up less than quoted, which never happens. Me, my son, and nephew will be customers forever.

We had a nail in our Dump trailer and Avery tire was able to fix it right away. This made things so much easier on us. Thank you Avery Tire!

Great shop to work with. We were visiting on vacation and had a wheel bearing go out on us. They got our car in and fixed the very next day at a very reasonable rate. I was super pleased with their customer service and prices. Definitely recommended!

I had a great experience at Avery Tire. The staff is kind and professional. The waiting area is clean and comfortable. If you don’t feel like waiting, it’s a short and easy walk to the cute little town of Newland.

Very kind and friendly people, and you have a safe atmosphere to sit in while they work on your vehicle. Mine drives better than it did now, and they really do work with you than against.

If you come anywhere after 4, don’t expect much but attitude and excuses. They get snobby, make excuses and refuse to accommodate for the customer. I could care less if your phones are down, or if you got a ticket hanging at 4:30. I did my job as a customer and called 2 time and once time go sent to voicemail rather then it ringing so I knew they was open. And on top of it, find the nice lady up front somebody else to work with rather then the young rude lady. Rolled eyes, and got ill with the lady who already took my information down and was about to get my keys. I needed something simple as well. Takes 15 minutes to mount and balance 2 tires. Fix your hours to say you close at 4 so you don’t waste people time, considering your just about the only tire shop in Avery. Poor service. Why I’m gonna start going back to Travis @ spruce pine tire because they have gave me service plenty of times close to 5 without excuses.

The gentlemen at Avery Tire always have taken great care of our vehicles. They are so good about getting us in the shop in a timely manner. Thank you all.

If I could leave a 10 star review I would be doing so now. Larry and crew is the BEST and most talented group of service technicians I have EVER had the pleasure of knowing and working with in my life of 80 years. About 12 years ago I had the same wonderful experience when I had my wife’s Pontiac Soltice worked on. And they were ON TIME which is VERY IMPORTANT for me also.

We were on a camping trip when we started experiencing braking issues. Our campsite host highly recommended Avery Tire. The manager rode along to help diagnose the issue and the mechanics discovered our right shock had come loose and was blocking the brake caliper during sharp turns. They also replaced the brake pads and calipers and every single employee went above and beyond to help get us processed and our problem fixed. It could have been catastrophic had the caliper exploded while pulling a camper down the mountain! We truly can't say enough about this company. There just aren't many places like this anymore; where they truly CARE and customer service is stellar. We live several hours away, but wish we could bring all our vehicles to Avery Tire! Just incredible service in this day and age! Thank you guys so much :)

The entire Avery Tire team looks out for me. They have always been kind and careful and helpful. I was planning on going out of town on Tuesday, ran into an issue on Sunday evening, they hooked me up Monday and made sure I was ready for the road. And may I say they were pretty slammed on Monday but they acted like it was no big deal to take care of me and I wasn’t putting anybody out. Love Dakota and his team, and Ms Shirley is the best.❤️

Just another great experience with Avery Tire. I had a flat tire, life happens. Unfortunately, I was in a neighboring county when this happened and took the issue to a local dealer. They indicated the tire couldn't be repaired and needed to be replaced. I had purchased the tires at Avery Tire, so I reached out about any warranties, or road hazard coverage. Sadly, the tires weren't covered but the folks at Avery Tire asked me to stop by so they could check everything out and see if they could help me out in some other way. Well, after inspecting the tire they indicated it COULD be repaired. A potential expense of several hundred dollars, to replace both tires on the same axle, ended up costing less than $25. Appreciate the time, energy, and effort by the front office staff and the technician that discovered the tire could be repaired. Another example of why we patronage the local guys! Thanks again!

Amazing staff and a very polite professional manager. Never had any issues with any of my vehicles while in Avery’s care. Pricing is reasonable, work quality is amazing, and the manager and front desk people are some of the nicest respectful people I’ve ever met and always assuring my vehicles are getting done in a time orderly fashion and also keeping me updated on what’s going on. Amazing people running a amazing shop 10/10 would recommend them!

Car was towed in and I had an estimate in less than an hour. Personal circumstances made it impossible for me to have the repairs done at the price of the original estimate. I stopped by in person and talked to Dakota and Willie who worked to cut the parts and repairs down to something I could actually afford. Dakota even let me know that he couldn’t promise that all necessary repairs were completed until he could get the new wheels and tires on and get the vehicle on the rack. There was still one more part that was necessary to replace after the wheels and tires. They were very understanding as I figured out how to pay for the final repair. Shirley was always very helpful when I called and would make sure to get an answer to any question I had. It’s not possible to give this place the rating it deserves.

Super reliable, honest, and afforable! Dakota was my tech and he really made me feel cared for. Really appreciate the time he took to repair my mechanical needs. Avery Tire & Automotive is definitely my go-to shop from now on, definitely worth the drive!

Dakota is very articulate in his field of work. His extensive knowledge with vehicle malfunction or maintenence is impressive. He is quick to figure out most underlying causes for issues and very professional when comes to discussing the problems at hand. I firmly recommend anyone to check them out !

One of the best experiences I’ve ever had with an automotive business! As soon as I walk through the door I’m greeted with some very nice ladies who make sure I get exactly what I need done! And then a very nice gentleman by the name of Dakota told me everything that was exactly wrong with my car and told me the right routes to take and very professional about it all!

Best place to take your vehicle. Took my car in for a look over after having issues from another place and Dakota was able to tell me exactly what the problems are, how it could be fixed, and a great price on doing so. He was detailed on the solutions to my concerns and was patient throughout my whole experience. Definitely recommend taking your vehicle here.

They took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I understood what my car needed—no pressure, no upselling, just honest and genuine help. The service was quick, the price was fair, and my car is running perfectly now. It’s rare to find someone who truly cares about both the customer and the quality of their work, but Dakota definitely does. I've had several repairs here along with tire changes and miscellaneous services. Avery tires was on time with my car service. They told me issues that I didn’t know I had and were able to fix it plus my scheduled service in under 2 hours. The staff was very nice and professional. The only reason I gave 4 stars is that they did not put air in my tires after doing a tire rotation. I had to come back on the same day to ask them to put air in my tires since my light was still on.

I got a flat while traveling from out of town with my family. This was the closest auto shop that offered tire repair, and I’m so glad we found it! Even though we arrived only 5 minutes before closing, one of the mechanics stayed late to help us out. They fixed it within 30 minutes and at a reasonable price too. They saved our trip. Highly recommend!

Definitely a place of good work ethics. They worked me in their busy schedule to fix a nail in my tire. Thay have always been helpful and repaired things correctly. I would recommend them anytime.

I had a nail in my tire. The local gas station in Banner Elk said they couldn’t fix it. I drove over to Avery. They were great. They didn’t try to sell me tires. They patched it. They were fast and honest. I will definitely use them again.

Not only did they work on my car exactly at my appointment time, but they finished within an hour. I also found their prices to be incredibly reasonable. The woman that runs the front should teach classes in Customer Service, she is perfect.!!!!! I would definitely recommend

I made an appointment online for a tire rotation. When I arrived I was informed "we don't make appointments for that". Yet I was checked in and on the road within an hour and a half. What ended up being a great experience could have went sour. I appreciated your accommodation, professionalism, friendliness, and reasonable price; someone might want to clarify with your web portal professionals to let them know to turn the option for tire rotation appointments off. Thanks again for the great experience.

The absolute best service I’ve had with a garage. My first time there and everyone treated me like I was an old friend. Friendly, kind, accommodating, and welcoming. The waiting area and bathroom were clean. My brakes are doing awesome and their price beat my other estimates. The guy who worked on my CRV came out and explained everything he was suggesting in detail and even showed me the old parts and why I needed new. I have already told my friends to use Avery Tire and Automotive. I will from now on. So happy they sent out fliers. That’s how I found out about them. I want to thank each person there for treating me so special and for great repair work. I’ll be back.
