Witnessed this nonsense this morning when picking up my granddaughter @ the Budget Inn in Queensbury. Truck left and garbage was still spilling out onto Rt 9. Do better Ace!

Ray DeLong was so helpful when he came to do the routine pick up. Not only was he nice and pleasant to talk to but he takes care when driving. With workers like him, I feel like all needs are taking care of. We need more workers like him! I highly recommend Ray and would love to see more people like him.

I wanna thank my driver and everyone at Ace who gave me clean trash bins. I’ve been a customer for over 10 years and now as I’ve aged, it’s harder and harder for me to clean them out and when I called a very nice young lady said sure no problem we can get you new ones or clean ones rather. When I call back to ask for them, I got a young man who was not so happy to help me with cleaned out bins and told me it was my responsibility. I explained to him. I understood that but I needed help. I guess he decided he would help me out because lo and behold there where I cleaned out bins. All rinsed and beautiful and I cannot thank you people enough. I enjoy being your customer and always have and now I enjoy it even more. Your drivers are always fantastic. Everything‘s neat and clean and picked up and they drive on. I cannot thank them enough for all the years of service

Utterly Atrocious—How Are They Even in Business?! We bought our home in June and, unfortunately, chose ACE for our garbage service—biggest mistake ever. The nightmare began when my neighbor texted me, asking if we could request that our driver not REVERSE the garbage truck a full quarter-mile down our road at 5:00 AM, waking up the entire neighborhood with their bright flashing lights and obnoxious back-up-alarm. But that was just the beginning. Over the past six months, our garbage bins have spent more time abandoned by the roadside than actually being picked up. Time and time again, our trash sat untouched for days even weeks at a time, while other garbage companies managed to do their jobs just fine within our community. And the excuses? Laughable. The driver repeatedly blamed missed pickups on "weather conditions"—even when it was a perfectly clear summer, fall and winter day. Sounds like laziness to me. I finally pulled the plug on this disaster of a company, only to check the reviews and see I’m far from alone. "Shitty service" doesn’t even begin to describe the incompetence and negligence of this monstrosity of a business. Avoid ACE at all costs!!!

Over the years this company would not pick up due to weather issues. And not refund my money, even though I was barely getting pickup. I understand. I live in the ADKs. But also I live in the ADKs. And recently the driver complained of a safety issue, which was tree branches scraping the truck as they explained in an email. A garbage truck. They said I needed to take care of them, did not show me or send a photo of what I was supposed to take care of. I live on a private road. I am a disabled person. All other trees on this road are owed by other people. Neighbors who have been cruel to me, due to this company refusing to pick up and garbage piling up. So obviously I can't go on others property cutting their tree branches. After explaining I'm a single disabled mom. They told me I should bring the cans to the main road for pickup. A long walk for me, a small hill and then down the road. Then after saying I was unable to do that, they didn't email me back. No communication. The truck comes and gets my garbage/recycling the following week. Now this week, apparently the branches are a problem all of a sudden, again. Again, with no communication of what branches, or photos. I tell them I want to cancel my service and get a refund for the services I have not gotten. They tell me I need to empty the bins and bring them to the main road. I again explain I can not do that, and I already paid for service this month. So, I don't have the money to pay for the same garbage again... to find someone to take it all to the dump, and pay the fee for each bag. Eventually my advocate called and tried speaking with them to come up with a solution. They had no care in the world. These people do not care about their customers. The communication and customer service has been horrible over the years. They have no problem taking your money, but can't be bothered to communicate and come up with a reasonable solution with a loyal customer. It's. a. Garbage. truck. and they're worried about some branches scraping the truck? I can tell you right now, we have plenty of bigger vehicles that come down this private road in the ADKs and there are no dangerous branches ruining their vehicles. I'm usually one who tries to be a nice person/customer. Even though they weren't picking up my garbage before, I did not want to call and ask for refunds. I didn't want to bother them. I just didn't want to be that person. I've worked many jobs in the past with awful customers. BUT I also don't need my neighbors leaving nasty notes on my door about the garbage not getting picked up. ***Please read all reviews. Beware! I would not recommend this company!

We have used this company for about 10 years and the cost goes up appreciably each year despite continued issues with pick ups. The only saving grace for us is that we belong to The Galway Co-op and get a pretty good discount on our monthly charge. On average, about every month or so there is a problem with our pick up~usually a truck break down or driver not available, including today. I had a problem with the automatic payments for several months when they raised the rates and never let customers know in order to adjust our payment amount. When I call with questions the service reps are usually helpful and knowledgeable.

Used it for years, but right after they switched pickup days, the service has been terrible. Not only are they late more often than on time, but they have cancelled multiple times and did not pickup until the following week. I called to ask for a pro-rated bill based on the cancellation and was promptly told no. I cancelled my service without hesitation.

Ace Carting does not pick up trash when scheduled and will not refund money for services not rendered. I now have two weeks worth of trash in my front yard, as do all of my neighbors. It's disgusting. When I got a letter in the mail saying they would no longer be serving Port Henry I was glad. Now please come take your cans! Hands down the worst company I have ever dealt with. I understand that problems arise on occasion and I understand short staffing issues... to be a day or two late on occasion never bothered me... but the lack of customer service, the lack of answers I get when I call about when they will be coming, and the fact that they won't reimburse for services not rendered is what makes me the most upset. A very shiesty company that seems to upset a lot of people given the other terrible reviews.

This is what it looks like when ACE CATERING can’t seem to pick up garbage since July 29. I’ve called them so many times and been told it would be picked up. Every person I spoke to kept telling the last 8 weeks something different. No one every shows.I’ve canceled my services with them. And still no show. Canceled 2 wks ago and still no show. Not my problem their short of help. But they rake your payments.I’m so done with it. No show August and September!!

I cancelled my service with them after being a customer for 6 years due to a significant price increase without notification. Their trash and recycling cans are STILL in my driveway waiting to be picked up ( arranged and agreed BY ACE to pick up on 8-22-22). I have emailed and called several times reminding and asking when I could expect removal and I received the same promise that, " It will be the next Friday." This has been since August and I AM still waiting for my trash and recycling cans to be picked up! DO NOT use this service. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in their professionalism and commitment to their word. Bad business.

These guys used to be good. I have been a customer for years. The last year or so the service has been AWFUL. They skip me all the time, drive right past my house without stopping! They are supposed to pick up every Wednesday. They almost never show up on Wednesday. Its either later in the week on a random day or they skip you altogether. I have tried to contact them DOZENS of times and they ignore all calls (you wait on hold only to get a recorded message telling you to email them), they do not return emails, either. HORRIBLE SERVICE! AVOID THEM!

When I initially signed up for Ace Carting they were fine -- had no issues. Then randomly noticed about 6 months ago that I was being charged $10+ more on certain bills at totally random times. I inquired about it and they said disposal fees had increased so they raised prices, but that doesn't account for why my bill fluctuated month-by-month. Called a different local trash company and switched, and Ace has made it nearly impossible for me to cancel my account and won't pick up my cans. I've emailed 3 times and sat on hold for 30 minutes and even when they say they will cancel my account and pickup cans, they don't. This is not a great company.

twice this summer we have gone 3+ weeks without trash pickup. First time we had no warning. I was told the bill would be adjusted but it never was. I was never given the correct day that the trash would eventually be picked up and no one apologized. Like it was normal that my service would be 3 weeks late and I would continue to pay for it. Moving on...

Have used your service for a number of years. The passed two weeks I have had no pickup and when I called it went to County Waste and the customer service was very rude. I contacted on 7/27 about no pickup on 6/8 since you can’t take the amount off yourself was told I wound be credited. This morning I was told you do not back credit and did I want to cancel my service, so I did. Expect a refund for at least 3 weeks for services not rendered and a timely removal of your cans with the garbage I paid you to remove. Will not recommend you to anyone.

Always some excuses why they don't pickup. Our service is paid until the end of August, my garbage has at the end of my driveway for almost 3 weeks. Called last Friday and they were going to have picked up on Monday. Today is Wednesday and I getting home and still full. Now animals have gotten in it and I have a mess to clean up. So scall has been made to another service and they will bee here Monday with new cans. So frustrating we have been with Ace since they started. Must be new management.

You guys skipped the entire town of Port Henry last week from what I've gathered from people around here. When I called and asked for a refund I got an "oh yeah sure no problem" but I have yet to see that happen and based on other reviews I doubt I will get my money back for the week you decided to not show up. But I will keep calling until I get my money back. This has happened quite a few times since we have started using your company a few years ago. I fully understand that things happen but the decency of a heads up and a refund would go a long way rather than a run around on the phone of not being sure what happened and "putting a ticket in" when I'm sure you had been getting calls all week and just didn't want to tell customers that they simply weren't coming. It seems this company doesn't care about customer service, likely because there aren't other better options in the area, but I figured I'd waste my time on this review anyway in hopes of steering customers away from your service. Hopefully y'all come today but my hopes aren't high as I now have two weeks worth of trash for a family of 4 (one who is in diapers) piled up in my driveway. What a mess 🤦🏼♀️

3/10 - They were so nice at first contact. Very pleasant an did not hesitate to take a payment. Delivery of containers and first pick up was fine. 3/19 - The second week in for a Friday pick up I put the containers out on Thursday evening. 3/20 - At 4 PM Friday, still waiting for pick up, I called the office and was told a truck broke down and they were running late. They should be here late and if not picked up today they would be here Saturday (3/21). Monday (3/23) morning at 8:30 AM I called the office and was told that they would be here. Called again at 4 PM and was told that the driver would be told to get here. 3/24 - Called the office at 8:30 AM and was again told they would be here today. At 3 PM I called and asked to speak to a manager and was hung up on 3 times in a row. I wanted to get the service because I'm a disabled vet and was having trouble getting to the transfer station. With the snow we had on 3/23 I was forced to shovel the snow to move the full containers so the plows could do their jobs. Not the kind of company I want to do business with. GOOD BYE ACE.

If 0 stars was an option I would absolutely take it for this company. Customer service is abysmal. I have been trying to get a garbage can for about 2 weeks now and they are constantly having me on hold for 20 minutes minimum. God forbid someone does their job here. The first time I was serviced, the lady was nice, but when the time came for my garbage can to arrive it was a no show. I have 9 garbage bags just SITTING in my kitchen now. Of course, I'm upset since I'm also paying 30 dollars a month just to take my trash out. I call and they DIDN'T EVEN HAVE ME ON RECORD ALTHOUGH I HAD ALREADY PAID. I begged another polite woman after waiting 30 minutes on the phone to please deliver it soon and put me on file and she said it would be delivered today. Again, no show. I shouldn't have to put up with something so trivial and simple. I just finished getting off the phone with them after waiting half an hour again to cancel my membership. Don't waste your time, I should've listened to the reviews. I'm taking my business elsewhere.

Not impressed. Have used this company for years, the last year their service has been terrible. They tell me their understaffed, well hire more people. If you cared about your business and your customers then you would take care of the issue. You use to be open at least 1/2 a day on Saturday for the working man but can't even be bothered with that anymore since you have become "established". Go there with a full truck two different times only to be turned away. Then change your hours to 3:45 without any notification and I pull up only to find that your closed @ 3:15. Had enough, oh and yes their pickups for the house are getting unreliable, causing me to chase garbage around the yard. One more thing ANSWER YOUR PHONE!
