Had my car vandalized in the village center and brought it in here to have them take a look. They knew exactly what to do and after dropping it off the next day it was all fixed and hour later for a very reasonable price. All the staff are great but Pat is a standout. Thanks!

I went to Smitty's for a door repair on my Ford Escape, after a deer ran into it. Pat was so nice, calming me down and walking me through the process. I was thrilled that the car was repaired on time and not only that, was cleaned inside and out! What an unexpected service. I would recommend Smitty's without a doubt.
My wife and I have used Smitty's exclusively over the years for body shop repair. Smitty's earns 5+ stars from us because they are trustworthy and fair and, of course, do excellent work! We appreciate Pat as he not only goes over options that fit our budget but also, more importantly, he is a wonderful person!
A deer recently hit our car. We went to Smittys in New Paltz to have it repaired. I Cannot explain to you what a Beautiful job they did on our car. I think it looks better now than when we took it home from the dealer. The workmanship was excellent and the staff was friendly kind and very caring. I am grateful for their help.

Totally disappointed with smitty’s body shop. My son brought his car to have scratches touched up. It was so obvious they used a $22 touch up pen on his hood and charged him $120.00! Stay clear and use Troy’s in highland instead !
I was hit while eating in a restaurant back in September 2023, and contacted Smitty's Auto Body after asking a co-worker where they got their truck fixed. So Pat did an estimate and got in touch with the insurance adjuster and handled everything for me. He is a very knowledgeable professional with many years of experience in the auto body industry, and a genuinely nice guy. As for the quality of work, in my opinion it is of the highest quality, compared to the other body shop in Kingston NY by the Ford dealership Smitty's even fixed the stuff that other shop did wrong. I'd recommend them anytime for body work and will use them again myself!
Very proffessional and thorough. Explaining each point on the repair estimate in advance. We have used them a few times in the past and have always been pleased.
My car was damaged in a parking lot during a time when both me and the person responsible had a lot on our plates. Justin dealt with me car repair and coordinated payments by the responsible person over the phone as well as communicating with me about the parts he ordered and the status of my repair. I needed the car for a surgery on Friday and Justin went out of his way to ensure it would be finished even though they’ve been busy every time I’ve stopped by. My car went in on Monday morning and was done by the next afternoon - looking better than new with a perfectly matched paint job. This is my first car and I’ve only had it for a short time. This will probably not be my last visit here because they were fantastic in every way.
Myself and 2 members of my family unfortunately needed auto body work over the past few years. Smitty’s treated us very well! We worked with Pat who is a gentleman, professional and deeply knowledgeable about the auto body industry AND the insurance side. Highly recommended!
A truck side swiped our handicapped van while we were parked. Smittys did a great job. Parts were back ordered but he fixed it enough so we could still use it. Very kind. We've gone to them for 20 years or more. Great people great work

Our car was towed to Smitty's after a nasty crash. I found the shop to be responsive, set realistic expectations, and courteous. Even though our car was a total loss, I would not hesitate to use this shop given our recent experience and their professionalism.
My daughter, a student at SUNY New Paltz, runs over a concrete barrier in a parking lot and told the car can't be driven. I call Smitty's, explain the situation and since the car is 5 min from the shop, the owner says he will take a look. Calls me saying it's not that bad and he thinks it can be driven to the shop. I cannot believe how honest and nice the owner is. They fix whatever was rubbing against the tire, check it for safety, and says its not worth cosmetically fixing it which we agree. Total charge $20.00 (and my daughter baked the guys brownies!). Being in Florida, what piece of mind we had that we found such an honest auto body shop. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU SMITTY'S.

Positively horrible work. They were to make repairs on my wife's almost brand new Range rover, the paint peeled within weeks, the lights were not aligned with the body, the trim was falling off and the entire black leather interior had paint droplets all over it. Terrible work all around... and it took forever. Don't use these people (they took forever to do the work too)
Smitty's did some work after my car was rear-ended, and their customer service was great. They were prompt and helpful, and the car looks good as new! No 'orange peel' in the paint, seamless color match, etc. They were also great about dealing with my insurance. I would definitely recommend them for body work.
Great place that I will recommend to everyone. After being involved in an accident, I brought my car to Smitty's for repairs. They were very patient while I dealt with the insurance company and do great work. Trustworthy and honest
