I sincerely appreciate the Reuse Center shop! I am always able to find affordable home maintenance things like screws and nails and drill bits that get surprisingly expensive at the hardware store. I love their office supply section and fabric area, and sometimes I have even found little statues or wall hangings. It’s a great resource and I really hope they always keep it going and full!

I used to go here every weekend and pick up items. Embroidery, Art supplies, packaging materials, frames. I even picked up vases for a family party and donated them back to the reuse center. Ever since the person left who ran the store and was not replaced there has been minimal items. Gone are all the art supplies and there has not been any embroidery items in over six months slim pickings. You can find some items but not worth a trip every week.

Love this place. Atm they have loads of bicycles! They need a little love but hey, they are affordable!

The selection doesn't seem to change much over the years. There's a handful of items and it's worth looking through and seeing if there's anything worthwhile every 6 months or so. The prices are right if there is anything that catches your eye

Rest assured this is one of the faces that makes our town our town. I remember when the landfill was still open which now sits in quiet unquiet. There is a little shed with tons of free books and a larger building with tons of random things random people might need or want, both behind the main office!

I Love it! It's a different experience each time. If you're an "upcycler" it's great. I've found tools (cheap) , I have a great vanity lighting system from there (brand new, in the box) for my bathroom. And many, many assorted items that I use on my farmstead. You can't just go once and judge. You have to go back , again and again over time.

As always the crew at the New Paltz transfer was awesome. Employees there are spot on. From Melanie, Michael, Joe, and Tubbs. Always so professional and polite. Great expierence for sure. In this time of crisis, you can assure that the people who run New Paltz Transfer Station has safety as their #1 goal!

Friendly Staff. Show up, weigh, dump, weight, and pay. My only recommendation: know how to back up your vehicle into the bay when you're called to. The workers may help you, the may not. They are busy transferring all of the waste around and they'll call you in when a bay is open. Iv'e visited this center roughly 15 times in the past year and it's been seamless every time.

Unsure why this place has such a low rating. Everyone I’ve met who works here is kind and helpful, albeit strict enforcers of the (important) rules about recycling & disposing of trash properly. They have a store where they sell things donated by dump users and even better than that they make compost & mulch, and give away little seedlings of plants (in various repurposed planters) in the summer. There’s also a spot here where you can drop off your broken down bike for them to fix and sell. The proceeds go toward the dump, and because I’m grateful that there are people who care about responsible recycling & waste disposal, I think they should have all the financial help they can get. I wish they’d change their hours to be open on Sunday (even just for a few hours in the morning) but, eh, perfection is boring.

The NPRRC is my favorite spot in town! Laura, the woman who runs it, is amazing and goes above and beyond! Lots of great stuff for sale in the Reuse Center, as well as building materials and even a tool share program!

This photo is of the Ulster County Resource Recovery Agency New Paltz Transfer Station. NOT the recycling center. You have all of the information mixed up
