Where do I begin in saying how wonderful this family run business has been to me. In a terrible car crash in which my car was totaled it was taken to them.
Andy worked closely with me was so kind and so helpful to the point of even emptying my car out for me and storing the contents.
Hospitalized with multiple broken bones, I had such peace of mind thanks to them, handling everything for me including working with my insurance company for pick up.
I can’t thank them enough for going above and beyond at A time when I was so helpless to do things on my own

I have an Interstate battery and was told the warranty would be honored at any Interstate retailer of which Kessel Auto is one.I had the battery tested at other retailers and it needed replacement, but they did not have it in stock.Upon entering the office I had informed them it was tested and needed replacement and noted they were an Interstate dealer and were obligated to honor the warranty.They refused to even look at it stating "that it would take time and time is money". The staff there showed no concern for the issue I had and I certainly would not recommend them to others.
Just wanted to give a shout out for helping me with body work today. You treat past customers like family and went beyond my expectations. I will recommend you to everyone. Thanks again for your help.

Great, honest and very friendly local mechanic. Joe Kessel is an amazing person and his staff... Dominic, Andy...etc are all wonderful people who actually care about their customers and do what they can to help you save money! I definitely will be back!
Never before has a mechanic given me depth left on tire treads, millimeters left on pads, and every possible detail of maintenance to come. Never going anywhere else again
Towed my truck after my accident kept it safe until I could get my stuff out of it. He helped me through the process and even took off my hitch for me as I required shoulder surgery and couldn't do it myself. Highly recommend

In all of the years I lived up that way on the ''Island'' my family and I found Kessel Automotive to be the last stop in our solution to problems with cars and it became the only place where my cars were worked on.
The shop was equipped with up to date equipment, wreckers and had a standard they worked by, even accommodated customers with a loaner car or at very least a ride to their job or home if waiting in their office waiting area was not to their choice.
I'm in another state now and wish I could find just that exact type of shop here and have not been able to in years..
Reading some of the reviews I saw a few that matched the experiences I had myself which were all good without any "short cuts" taken on my repairs, all labor figured by way of a flat rate book matched to the hourly labor rate and that price quoted prior to repairs approved and completed.
I when in there to get a check engine look at and the guy told me that i should go to Auto zone and that I don't belong there. Very mean person I don't recommend this place to anyone.
Took a 2008 Toyota Highlander for an estimate on getting a water pump installed they told me 1200.00 I understand labor is expensive BUT it's listed as a 4 1/2 hour job for a 100.00 part that comes to 244.44 an hour then he hit me for over 80.00 to tell me it is indeed the water pump this guy should not be in business!!! Stay away from this company. I had it done in farmingville at a mechanic shop for 650.00 and he changed the thermostat and pump and belt. Warning stay away !!
I brought my Jeep to repair a broken water pump and had a great experience. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The service was fast and the price of repair was fair. I wont be taking my car any other place.
