I had a check engine light on and went in with a few questions about my car. One of the commercial guys Gilbert scanned my car for me and helped me find the codes. He was able to get me the part I needed and recommended a good auto shop. Turns out he was right and I needed an 02 sensor. He also recommended an emissions cleaner and thanks to his help and I was able to pass inspection. My check engine is still off!

Thank you! I was in need of wiper blades and did not know how to change them. It was raining outside and i did not think they put them on but Guilbert volunteered to help me and came out in the pouring rain to put them on for me. Guilbert is great and knowledgeable and went above and beyond to help me out. The other bald guy is also really nice

Let me be very clear — this store has good employees, but Gilbert is a liability. Bryan used to help me and he was excellent. Professional, knowledgeable, and actually willing to do his job. Luis is decent and will step in to help when needed. Gilbert, on the other hand, should not be in a customer-facing role — let alone calling himself a manager. If you walk in needing something simple like an engine light check or battery test, be prepared to be treated like you’re bothering him. He consistently acts irritated, dismissive, and inconvenienced by customers asking for basic services the store advertises. This morning I walked in and the first thing I see is Gilbert sitting on the desk, glued to his phone, no name tag, completely unprofessional. When he finally acknowledged me, it was a cold, rude “Can I help you?” — not welcoming, not respectful, just attitude. He claims he’s management. If that’s true, that’s a serious problem. Managers are supposed to lead by example. Sitting on a desk scrolling your phone and treating customers like interruptions is not leadership — it’s laziness and arrogance. The store’s reputation is being damaged by one person who clearly does not want to help anyone. Corporate needs to step in and evaluate this immediately. Employees like Bryan build the brand. Employees like Gilbert tear it down. If nothing changes, customers will stop coming. It’s that simple.

Oliver was really nice and got us the correct bulb for our headlight and told us to come back in if we needed help.

They had the part I needed

Associate added a protection plan to my purchase without asking and then acted as if it was a mistake. If this is how they do business it's incredibly disingenuous.

One of the better stores I’ve been to. Guilbert and Christine both worked together to help me find the parts that I needed for my vehicle. I know it wasn’t easy to find exactly what I needed but they were both patient and kind and took their time to help get everything I needed. Come on now. It's the #1 place for auto parts. Clean, quick, reliable service. Just, make sure you get that inventory right on the Castrol 0w-20 because 2 different locations had their inventory wrong. All good. One little bump won't turn me away. Completely incompetent. Unprofessional. Unable to handle simple phone calls. Save yourself the headache and drive 5 more minutes to the Brentwood location, or just go to Auto Zone.

This location's customer service is unmatched. Oliver helped me find a battery for my Nissan Silvia. Although my terminals were too small, Oliver tried his hardest and showed patience throughout my ordeal.

I wanted to return a hydraulic jack and Oxygen Sensor Socket at this store. The Indian old women asked me why I want to return? I told her that I bought a lot of parts and tools from her store, but not every items I would keep, the hydraulic jack and Oxygen Sensor Socket are never opened and still box sealed. She opened both boxes and inspected in very detail. I felt that she wanted to find any excuse to refuse the return. These two items are brand new and never opened, just bought two days ago in this store, she could not find any excuse to refuse my return. Then she told me that her store computer return system was down, she could not return it and asked me to return to other store. She said she scanned the receipt, but her computer could not find any information. I saw that she covered the barcode, then scanned the receipt. I asked her to scan one more time, she looked like very difficult to scan the receipt and hide, not let me see her scanning, actually she covered the barcode again, played the game to fool customer. I asked the other cashier in the store to help me process the return, she said the other guy was new and he didn't know how to process the return and she was the manager and she was the only person can process the return. I asked if I can scan the receipt myself, she refused. I asked what was her name, she asked me why I need her name. Anyway, I left, then I called the store. The male cashier picked up the phone, I got he old Indian woman's name, her name is Kala. Kala did fraudulent business, she played the game to refuse the return. Her doing is very unfair to other Advance auto parts store. I just can not believe how ugly she is doing. The shame she is!!!
