My mom and I have been to this station years ago and that this is an elevated station and the A train stops here, and it branches into two branches one is too faraway mott avenue and the other is Lefferts Blvd.
Rockaway Blvd since Monday, 6/10/2024 was epic especially the new subway train car for Super Megaforce A train known as the R211 from the Kawasaki Railcar Incorporated.
It's not a great place to wait for a bus the 41 bus is the worst bus to take you wait over any where from 25mins to 35mins weekdays weekends are worse and if you're coming off one bus and see the other bus to catch forgetaboutit they never wait they leave so they can catch the green light than your waiting another 25 to 30 mins for another bus it is so bad I hate the 41 route bus
If you're heading to JFK, be sure to switch from the A train to another A train at Howard Beach station to catch the AirTrain. This information isn't mentioned anywhere.
This station is located on the Fulton Street Line which serves the A to Ozone Park-Lefferts Blvd and the A to Far Rockaway. This station is pretty high up as the Far Rockaway Branch has to split to the former tracks of the Far Rockaway LIRR Branch. The station has many bus routes such as the Q52 SBS, Q53 SBS, Q7, Q11, Q21, Q41, and the terminus of the Q112. It is also close to two schools which makes this station extra busy during school hours. Other than the regular bird poop, this station is like any other station. The only problem I have is that the A train to Ozone Park-Lefferts Blvd comes less often then the A to Far Rockaway which makes this review a 4 star. Other than that this station is pretty solid.
My home station. This station is a really cool area to be at. Cool mosaic and large transfer point. Often gets crowded. Neighborhood is busy with a lot of bus routes. There is a good view of the junction at the end of the station. Station lacks an elevator.
I really try to fill my metro card at other stations because the machines at this location are never serviced.There are two and you would think at least one would be in full service .I have to spend $3 on a single ride ticket most of the time. it's ridiculous ....and it wouldn't hurt to clean the screen and doors more often...what the hell are we really paying for?

Some people should not be working at the booth ( 5 40 am, sept 14).... i had a prob with my monthly unlimited card and when tried to talk to her... she tries to judge and insult me... after listening to my story that i had to buy a new $10 card... she keeps on insulting me... okay i do respect people behind the booth and not just becoz of the announcements that they got govt protection... but lady if u r having a bad night... plz be PROFESSIONAL!!!!
After the much needed updates to this train station it’s safe to say that it’s much cleaner and safer especially late night. The machines sometimes will take your money and your cards so be very careful.
Nice looking station. READ the signs if you want to get to the right train branch! There are 2 separate A trains: Lefferts & Far Rockaway. Be careful at rush hour, because there's a 3RD one- to Beach 116th Station. Be careful.
If you even try to wait here hoping for frequent A service think again you’re bound to wait a good 20 mins for one to even show up which is why I avoid this line like the plauge.Even with the new renovations this station still seems eerie and sketchy.
