It was my second car I was in a need to get rid of this year. I had a first one I tried first to sell myself and I decided to go to another buying company. Service was so so and the price way below market but ok it was a 8 years car. In this case, I had a one old 2014 Ford Explorer Ford in mint condition. I am not losing time anymore without checking business reviews online, in this case location was 45mn drive from Manhattan, no way to go by there by chance. On the other hand reviews were almost too good to be true (I was wrong!). First of all you get a fast quote online with a large range, it is the usual bait style. Then I was contacted by email first by Priscilla in a very professional manner and very quickly. First good impression, they know what they are doing, I asked about 6-7 questions in 4 emails to Priscilla, ultra fast reply in the next 2-3 hours... After this good start, I decided to go there. Immediate after arrival Joseph jumped out of the office , park the car for inspection and let you start/explain the process if you were to accept the deal. Joseph came back, car mint condition, and we started the discussion, few minutes later we found a very fair agreement and I got a check, gave my keys to Joseph. All paperwork done in few minutes, they return your plate to DMV and send you proof by email. Joseph was very professional, smiling and 100% focus on discussion. I will not shy to say one of my best experience with selling a car in the last 15 years (I am switching car a lot). I will for sure comeback there if needed. Ethical people, respectful and not too pushy. PS: I am not writing review often but in this case, as experience was so good, I did it and posted on Yelp as well.

Had a good experience here. Joe was very helpful with buying my Jeep Wrangler and made the process smooth. Apparently there was damage to my jeep that was not shown on the carfax due to no damage being reported and I would of never know if it wasn’t in thanks to Joe and his staff. Joe told me that my jeep was worth 1,500 less than the original offer he gave me, but still gave me what he told me he was going to for my wrangler. A man of his word. Thanks Joe

I just had the pleasure of selling my 2012 Toyota Camry to Car Nation. I dealt with Joe and have to say it was a simple process. I was provided with all the pertinent information regarding my car and given a couple of options for the sale. I had a very pleasant chat with Joe and never felt rushed or pressured to make a decision. I was handed a check for the negotiated price at the appointment. There was no "the check is in the mail." That said I forgot to take my son's Ray Bans and EZ Pass out of the car. The following day I sent Joe a text...he went out to the car and brought the above items into the office until my son was able to pick them up later in the day. I feel that says a lot about the dealership's employees honesty and integrity. It's a few days later now and can tell you I would not hesitate to sell or purchase a used vehicle at Car Nation.

I think it's normal to be very distrustful of the whole used car buying and selling process. I've never liked it. But my experience with Joseph at Car Nation Autobuyers was fantastic. My wife and I were moving out of the country, we'd just had a buyer for our Honda Civic fall through, and we were leaving the country in a few days. Enter Joseph. I found him by reading all the reviews online and learned he'd built up a great level of trust and loyalty. In my experience, it has been well earned. I needed a quick resolution. While Joseph was unable to meet personally given the short time frame on my part, I was able to leave the car with him and hoped it would sell. Within a month, Joseph had the car sold, and requested payment information, which I apparently didn't provide or an email I thought went through didn't. Because we had so many moving parts around that time while leaving the country on sabbatical, it actually slipped my mind that I never received payment (again not Joseph's fault). I had just assumed it happened. More than a year later, when doing a detailed review of finances and taxes I realized the mistake I'd made, contacted Joseph, and he was quick to resolve the matter. I'll admit, I was a little nervous writing him and informing him of the error I'd made, and wasn't totally sure what his response would be. But he responded quickly and wired money within less than 24 hours when he verified my claim. In my mind, this is a man who has earned the reputation of honesty you'll often see him praised for online. Thanks Joseph, for restoring my faith in the whole used car process!

Although I normally sell my own cars direct, I had an older car that had some issues, and didn't have the time to go through the whole process, and just wanted a quick sale. I went on the Internet and did some searches on selling cars and found some good reviews/experiences from CarNation. I called and made an appointment to meet with Joe to evaluate my vehicle. He took some time to get to know me and tell me a little about himself. We then went out and inspected the car. He was quite knowledgeable about cars, and showed me things that were good and bad. At the end of the day, it appeared I had some serious engine issues, and he provided me a with a price that was way below what I was thinking I would get before I met with him, and I chose not to accept the offer. However, after discussing the various options I could avail myself of such as sending it to auction, etc, since he really had no interest in purchasing the car himself given these issues, he called a mechanic friend, explained the situation, and the mechanic agreed to purchase it for a fair price. So, at the end of the day, I walked away with a check that was more than I had been offered by other mechanics, and feel that Joe "did the right thing" to try and help me get rid of the car, which was all I was looking to do. I would recommend dealing with Joe, as he seems to know cars, and dealt with me honestly and fairly. It wasn't his fault that my car had mechanical issues, and I feel I got a good deal given the mechanical issues. I plan to use Joe to purchase a used car shortly for my daughters who will be returning home from college for the summer, as he knows the car business, and I will see how things go on the purchasing side. Oh, one more thing - he even took care of surrendering the plates to DMV so I didn't have to, and sent me the receipt so I could cancel my insurance. And, he arranged to get me a ride to the train station so I could get home! All in all, a very pleasant experience -- which is sometimes hard to find when dealing with car salesman, but Joe is not "that guy"

I went to CarNation to sell my car yesterday. Joseph was an absolute pleasure to deal with! The process was quick and I left feeling like I received a fair deal. Joseph's offer was higher than other offers I had received and he did not try to low ball me. Joseph is a very straight forward guy. He explained to me all the things I should be looking for when buying a car. Unfortunately I had issues with my HONDA SI and couldn't sell it to him. He was very nice and patient with me explaining what was the issue and running a car fax for me at no charge. I trusted him to sell my other car. He will get the best value for what you are trying to sell. I am very satisfied. It was quick and there was no work needed on my end. Joseph was extremely nice and helpful and answered all my questions either phone or email. Even tho it takes me 40 minutes to drive to his office it's definitely worth the drive.
