We have been using Center Island for over 20 years. Frank and Mike are always reasonably priced, and will go out of their way to make sure they know our cars.
UPDATE 6/9/25: Frank was able to diagnose and fix a starting problem that Mazda couldn't. I emailed John Paul, a Newsday columnist from AAA who suggested it was the starter, battery or alternator. Yup, it was the starter. Now it's fixed and hopefully no more starting issues.
I would never use any other mechanic. Frank and Mike are honest, reliable, fairly priced, and professional. I recently had a very difficult insurance claim and they were extremely helpful. I highly recommend this shop.

I would only take my car to Center Island Auto Repair. The shop is extremely clean. Frank is great! He keeps you up to date on what he is doing. He is hard working and efficient in his work.
Omg best shop ever my sebring had a wire problem id never been there before. It was insane how well they diagnosed the prob spent several hours on it charged me next to nothing. So good to find a real mechanic.
These guys are honest and love what they do. Every customer that came in while I was there they smiled and made sure to explain the issues with each of their cars. My car had been giving me steering issues for days and when I came here they tried conservative treatment before replacing my entire steering shaft which worked and saved me a lot of money. I had shopped around prior to coming here and no one offered this option. You always want three people you can trust, a doctor, a dentist and a mechanic. And these guys can be trusted.
