Stayed Friday–Sunday during the first weekend of March 2026. Overall, the stay was convenient for skiing at Hunter, but there were several small things that kept the experience from feeling like a true resort stay. The positives: Parking was easy and the room itself was clean. The property has some decent amenities including a pool, two hot tubs, an arcade (we played air hockey), a gym, and laundry facilities. We were too tired after skiing to use the pool and hot tubs, but they looked well maintained. The downsides: The TV was extremely small—about the size of a computer monitor—and the picture quality wasn’t great. It also wasn’t a smart TV, which was disappointing since after a long day on the slopes it would’ve been nice to relax and watch Netflix or stream something. The bathroom was clean, but none of the shampoo, body wash, or lotion dispenser pumps worked, so we had to unscrew the bottles just to use them. Small detail, but inconvenient. We booked the smallest studio with a queen bed and couch. It only had a mini fridge and a coffee maker—no microwave or hot water kettle. The fridge was placed on the counter next to a small sink, which made the setup feel a bit basic. Dining options were limited. There’s only one restaurant in the lodge, so we ended up getting Chinese takeout one night and going to Chicken Run the next day for chicken and steak. The free breakfast was very minimal—just muffins and coffee. It would be nice if they offered an optional paid breakfast buffet, especially at a ski resort where people want a hearty meal before hitting the slopes. When I remember going to hunter as a kid and having a guest breakfast buffet served daily in the dining room with scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, waffles, oatmeal, fruit, pastries, cereal, juice, and coffee. I’m not sure what changed, but it was definitely a bit of a bummer that they don’t offer something like that anymore. Bottom line: Not a bad stay, and the location is very convenient if you’re skiing or snowboarding at Hunter Mountain. But with a few upgrades—better in-room amenities, working bathroom dispensers, and a more substantial breakfast—the experience could be much better.

Walk-out ski-in hotel. Short walk up a hill to the run, was not bad, just not ski-out. The restaurant/bar was only open 4-9, so bring food to cook and alcohol for cocktails. We had a king suite but the bed was a queen. The furniture is outdated and not very cozy. I did like the ski/pole valet. The skiing was great! We would come back for the skiing. The only run I didn’t care for was Belt Parkway which is the run the hotel is on.

The most relaxing view from the top floor. We enjoy the hot spa and the food. We drove few minutes to the Main Road and enjoy local shopping stores and local food> I would go back to| step out of the crowd of a city.

Pool and hot tub and restaurant were not as available as I hoped. Very limited hours. Monday breakfast was lame, only apples and instant oatmeal. Room was clean.

The one bedroom was very big. It did sleep 6 with a pull-down Murphy Bed and pull out couch. The one drawback, there is only 4 hangers in the closet, 2 nightstands with 3 little drawers, And 3 small drawers under the TV stand. We had used our suitcases and the shelf in the closet for our clothes. No storage in the big bathroom. We had to put our toiletries either on the counter Or the floor. One little hook on the back of the door that wouldn't hold all your clothes when showering. There was plenty of space to put a freestanding dresser. There was one in the kitchen area For the Murphy bed tho. But the place was very very clean and comfortable. All the furniture looked new. The grounds were very well kept and beautiful. People at the front desk were very attentive and nice. However we couldn't get over the cereal/soup bowls were very odd they were almost flat!

I thought the room was nice. The gym and pool staff was very kind. I liked that. The kitchen had everything you probably could need it in. The desk staff was kind but they weren't really helpful with needs. The pool and gym hours close pretty early compared to some hotel guys that are 24/7. The sauna and steam room were cool additions. I liked that the gym had a stair climber and ski machine but the machines were definitely worn down. Good for a night or two.

I was only here for Saturday and Sunday, and this place is actually really good! It had an arcade, pools, a gym, all of that good stuff! The thing is that it was stressful going back home from the key card. But since we haven’t been here in 5 years,I’m still rating it 5 stars. We were disappointed by the tv because it was so bad and we tried playing Crossy Road and we got 71 but our average score was 250?????????????️

??OUTRAGEOUSLY OUTDATED?? Ancient furniture and decor? Dated carpet? No king beds in the entire hotel? Tiny bathtubs? No locks on bathroom doors? Old TV sets? No USB charging ports? ‼️Don’t buy ownership here unless they upgrade and make it worthwhile‼️

My wife and I stayed here for a friend’s wedding block, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. We drove 3.5 hours to get here and called ahead to ask about early check-in. We were told it wouldn’t be a problem if the room was ready. We arrived at 11:30 AM, but the room wasn’t available yet. They promised to call when it was ready but the call never came. We sat in the lobby and by the pool for four hours, watching other wedding guests arrive after us and get the exact same type of room within 30 minutes. By 3:00 PM, with shuttles to the wedding arriving at 4:15, our room was still “not ready.” We had no choice but to get dressed in the public restroom off the lobby. Only after my wife complained did the front desk suddenly switch us to an available room — which we later overheard should have been reassigned to us by around noon anyway. If she hadn’t spoken up, we might never have gotten a key at all. We paid $233 just to sleep for one night, with no chance to shower, freshen up, or relax before the wedding we traveled hours to attend. When I voiced my disappointment at checkout, the staff apologized but offered nothing to make it right — no refund, no discount, nothing. The hotel itself is fine, but the management and service were unorganized, unhelpful, and dismissive. I cannot recommend staying here if you expect even basic reliability.

Fantastic staff in a beautiful resort. Not a lot going on in Summer but very relaxing. We’d recommend it if you like hiking and nature and want to relax!

Be very careful. I have stayed here in the past but I will never stay here again. We needed to reserve for a family funeral. Two nights (Fri out on Sunday) cost $801, with no housekeeping (not even freshen bathroom) and no breakfast or lunch in the hotel dining room. They neglected to tell us the restaurant opened at 4 pm Fri & Sat, close at 9 pm, closes earlier on Sunday. Two vending machines with water @$4 per. A “grab & go” breakfast that consisted of the smallest muffins I’ve ever seen, coffee, tea, that’s it. Didn’t have an option to purchase more, I.e. fruit, yogurt. If you want housekeeping it’s an extra daily charge (not sure how much). You deal with your luggage in your own. The property is dated & in need of lots of TLC+. The refrigerator motor was so loud & the air conditioning was right next to the bed & was freezing on the lowest setting. We were limited in choices of hotels near where we needed to go. We sent an email outlining our experience & basically got a so sorry. It was a take it or leave it attitude. Extremely disappointed. If there was less than 1 star i would have chosen that rating.

What a great place! I was only here for a very short stay, but the room was lovely. Wish I could have used the pool, but it looked spectacular from the balcony. Beautiful lodge. Comfortable bed. Spacious room.

Our accommodation was beautiful, comfortable, and clean. We had dinner one evening at Van Winkles on premises. Delicious. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. I'd highly recommend a visit.

Great ski in ski out resort. The heated pool and two hot tubs outside were awesome. Ski check super convenient and we could see the lifts from our hotel room. Van Winkles restaurant in the hotel was a popping place for apres.

I would not recommend arriving early and thinking your room will be ready. I booked snow tubing for my son and it was cancelled from the wind. I figured I could check in and unpack and go into the pool. The room wasn't ready until 4:10 pm. The restaurant is decent but the portions are extremely small. My son wanted pasta and butter for 15.00 dollars and it wasn't enough. I got him a second bowl for now 30 dollars is insane. I would ONLY recommend this place because its close the mountain if you intend to use it. Hunter is small and more intermediate and advanced riders will prefer out west and Vermont, New Hampshire areas. I will not be coming back.

Staff was friendly and available. Fireplace in lobby was inviting with ample seating. The dual hot tubs and heated pool was perfect after a day of skiing. The kids enjoyed s’mores around the firepit at night. Overall, great experience!

Absolutely atrocious customer service at the front desk and in reservations. My wife booked a room today(1/2) and received a confirmation and we were charged. I show up to check in after a day of skiing with my kid and her friend and the front desk clerk confirmed the reservation and then bluntly proceeds to tell me that he’s going to cancel the reservation as he can’t help me. Doesn’t offer any solutions or tries to understand and he’ll find something. Just blunt and cold and says he’s working on credit to be issued and all within a few minutes. Apparently this hotel does t care if people are happy or not as they just push you out. I’ve never seen such a low class unprofessional hotel where the reservation department and geo t desk aren’t aligned. Terrible customer/front desk service. Not even one damn attempt to try and find something or offer anything for the inconvenience. Just forgot about us and moved on with o the next guest. Pathetic.

We stayed for one night and had a very relaxing time. Room was clean and well-kept. Front desk employees were helpful & polite. Grounds are beautiful and the mountain views are stunning!

Classic mountain resort with nice restaurant and bar.. Big room with full modern kitchen and beautiful views. The outdoor pool and hot tubs were great and the landscaping made them extra nice to spend time there. It was fun talking in hot tub with other guests Enjoyed our stay.

The best feature of this hotel is the hotel staff - everyone was super friendly and helpful. They'd get five stars. The hotel is more of a mixed bag. For starters, it's a timeshare, so the rooms are individually owned. Perhaps that's why the amenities might vary considerably. Even though I booked a "studio" the "kitchenette" only had a bar sink and a coffee maker. Nothing else. No fridge. How is that a studio? In a hotel with limited food offerings and no breakfast, that was a bit of a problem. The TV was tiny, tucked away in an old-fashioned TV console meant for old CRT TVs. The bathroom was basic. And the walls to the room next to me were thin - let's just say the neighbors had a very high libido and you could hear everything. On the upside, the room as well as the hotel were perfectly clean. The pool and spa area are nice. But the hotel was full, so it got very busy and turned into a kids' playground. On top of that, they had an amplified live singer performing "old school country" for hours. It sounded like a broken record. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway, this is not it. Instead of hiring a live performer, it would have been nice if the bar stayed open past 8PM on a holiday weekend. Finally, pro tip: Bring a travel mug. Water from the vending machine is $4 - $5 per 20oz bottle. But there is a free soda stream machine next to it, which eneded up being the best amenity of the entire hotel.

My family and I stayed at Kaatskill Mountain Club over Easter weekend. While the accommodations and our visit went well, upon leaving we were charged an additional $189 for carpet cleaning and two lost pillows. This charge was administered without notice, and despite multiple calls to the resort I have been unable to connect with anyone who can provide information. I was told I would receive photos of the room damage, but this was never sent. Beware about booking here!

We booked the 2 room superior so it's basically 2 connecting rooms. We had a full kitchen which came in handy because there is literally nowhere you can grab breakfast at the hotel. We did end up driving to a place that was cute but nothing kids would eat. The hotel only has 1 restaurant that opens from 4-9pm. You need to make reservations because they fill up quick. We eat early, around 5 so it was fine for us. The game room is great for kids to pass the time when they are not out on the slopes. The rooms need some updating/repair. They were fairly clean and the staff was very nice.

I had the most absurd conversation when trying to book a room here. The online rate was $255/night and my EPIC pass is suppposed to get me a 20% discount. I called so I could ask about the discount and the reservation person was very friendly. Then she told me the price was nearly double what I saw online. So online it was $600 total and on the phone it was $950 total. She told me the $950 was already a highly discounted rate. This was baffling. I asked if I should just book online and she said I could but my room would probably be overbooked and I would end up with no room. I said how can I trust a hotel that operates like this? She assured me the manager and hotel owner would say the same thing. I decided to book another hotel, I can't imagine staying somewhere that treats their customers like this.

Convenient. That's the good thing about this place. Mike in the restaurant was terrible. We sat at the bar after enjoying our day at Octoberfest to grab a drink and some food. Mike first looked at us like we were bothering him, no hello, no how are you, rudely asked if we wanted a menu and he pissed me off. We stay at this hotel several times a year and usually the restaurant staff and bar tenders are fantastic. For the prices you charge to stay here we should be able to expect a certain level of service. These reviews typically land on deaf ears but because of Mike's inconsiderate behavior, he turned what was a nice day for my husband and I into an unpleasant experience. It's ashame. We normally spend ALOT more money and give 50% gratuity on our checks but not this time. You need to have people that aren't miserable, and know how to smile and be pleasant. That guy Mike Is NOT it. The room was ok, steam cleaning the smelly carpet wouldn't hurt. Hair on the floor in the bathroom. Shower hasn't been bleached in forever. If it wasn't Convenient we wouldn't stay there anymore. Also, everything is LOUD. Slamming doors all hours of the night, neighbors tv blaring, don't expect to sleep.

David and kristy at the front desk were very nice to us very caring wanting to accommodate us when we arrived. We did not get the type of room that we wanted and they were really nice and understanding about it and they were able to change us the next morning. Our overall experience here was amazing we were here. A few times already was beautiful really clean nice beautiful scenery. Nice people I would really recommend coming here. Thank you.

Great ski in ski out slope side Katskill Mountain club. Clean room. Reasonable rates. We are about 75' from our door to the slope. We have been here many times since the first review above. It is still a great place to stay. The skiing is good, they take good care of the slopes. We have wound up on the far side of the lodge, but it was still pretty easy to ski in/out. Staffing is an issue like every place in the world, but they did okay. We avoid the weekends. They get very busy and the general skiing population at that slope is rude. I know it sounds sort of strange that this should be any different than any ski area and I did not believe it when I was told that. But after a few encounters with some of the less considerate patrons, it seems to be true. If you can avoid Saturday and Sunday that is best. Earlier in the day is better if you can't avoid the weekend. The last few hours of Sunday are good too. We will be back at least once per season.

This would be a good place for a group of guys who split a room and spend $200 a person for the weekend. It's old, service is terrible, nothing is comfortable but it's a good location and has a decent pool. Good for a weekend of boys drinking. But for over $1,000 for a weekend for a couple to be on a horrible small bed, dated small TV, dated room, no grab and go breakfast on weekends when you want it, poor service, no towels by the pool, no sauna or steam room, lady at the front desk has blue hair. Just no value for the price

We are so thrilled with our stay. Our room is super large with a murphy bed. We love that we can put it away and have more hangout space. The kitchen is super - kids loved having snacks and breakfast in room. The room is clean, fully equipped and extra towels. We asked for extra pillows & was delivered with in 10 minutes. Staff were super kind and extremely helpful. We were happy and looking to come back next year! * stayed in 1 bedroom

If I could give this zero stars I would. This was hands down the worst wedding venue and hotel I have ever been to in my life. For someone that considered this venue for my own wedding back in 2018, I’m so glad I decided against it. Every room had an infestation of lady bugs in the corners of the rooms and all the bathtubs had black mold inside the vents. The hotel requires all guests wear masks, but don’t supply extras in case a vaccinated guest comes without a mask. The staff is also extremely rude about their mask wearing policy and are rude to guests who come early for their reservations and make them leave if their room is not ready. As a wedding venue, I advise all future brides to avoid this establishment. Sari, the event coordinator, was absolutely horrendous, rude and inattentive throughout the entire process. She should truly be fired immediately. The food and bar were the worst I’ve ever experienced at a wedding to the point that everyone was looking for fast food that could be delivered after the wedding because everyone was starving. I highly, highly recommend anyone to NOT stay or use this as a wedding venue in the future.

This is a really nice hotel, beautiful big lobby with floor to ceiling windows and a great stone fireplace. You can see the ski lift from the lobby and the swimming pool. There's a cute seating area outside the lobby also. The rooms are good sized and the beds were so comfortable! The bathrooms were great too, great water pressure and hot water! Our room had a view of the mountains opposite the ski mountain but pretty and there was a nice gas fireplace, a big flat screen TV and a kitchen with a full size stove, fridge, microwave, dish washer and coffee maker. The rooms were cozy and clean. You could walk to the mountain to ski or they have a shuttle from the hotel, it's a short 3 min drive. I think there are 3 trails to ski on and a bunny trail for the kids. There's a souvenir shop and food too. Great place to bring the family!
