I’ve been using this waste management service for over seven years, and they’ve been fantastic! Pickup is always on time, and if something ever comes up, their team is just a phone call away and genuinely helpful. Everyone I’ve interacted with has been friendly and professional. The only downside is the price, which is a bit higher than some other companies. The great service makes it easier to justify, but I hope the rates don’t keep climbing.

Annual rate hikes have gotten unreasonable, especially when competitors already offer the same service for less than I’m paying WM. It’s also frustrating that there’s no option to pay annually or get any meaningful discount.

This company is the worst, not consistent in pick-ups, cannot reach customer service, bill you even though they do not pick up. Do not use this company.

Waste Management's service has been so good that we're happy to pay a premium. Other carriers seem to be consolidating, and then sometimes failing, to WM seems like an excellent value.

Waste Management provides excellent service. Always timely, no issues whatsoever. We used two other haulers and had terrible experiences before switching to WM.

I've been using waste management for a long time and for the most part has been fine, however for the last few months I've been having trouble getting my cardboard picked up up until the last few weeks when it hasn't been picked up at all.... I would hope that someone will make this right as I've continued to pay you per our agreement and I'm not receiving service.

The pricing structure is aweful. IF you have 1 trashcan the cost should be this, NOT based on how long you have been a customer and your neighbor is paying this while you are paying more or less.

Waste Management management is crap. While you can never speak to a live person unless you win a lottery, we depend on the website. Checked the website for holiday scheduling. After clicking on check for my address says service normal but recycle delayed one day. See below. Lists Columbus Day Monday Oct 13th as a duplicate Thanksgiving holiday. This would infer delayed service right? Nope they came today and took both trash and recycling. Awesome job the website folks especially considering you can't speak to a human...wow!! P.S. I should mention the folks on the trucks are awesome! Definitely seems like a leadership problem...not the employees...

I am very impressed with the timely response for my need for waste and recycling services. I met the driver and he was very professional. Waste Management is reliable, and very customer friendly. A top notch environmental management company!

I wish I could give WM zero stars. I signed up for service with Waste Management over the summer. I was given a date that I would receive my bins and a date that my service would start. The service date was pushed off by a week and in the four weeks that I had Waste Management, I never received my garbage bin or my recycle bin. Every week the drop off date was pushed back a week and the only notification I received was an email on the day I was supposed to receive the bins. I called them every week, and each time I called I was told they had no bins available, but was given assurances that I would receive bins the following week. They said to leave the garbage in bags at the curb and it would be picked up. One week it was not because it wasn’t in the bins that they did not supply me. Each time I called, I was able to get through to a customer representative immediately. However, after four weeks of no bins, I decided to cancel my service. At that point I had trouble reaching any customer service people and was given the runaround before I was finally was able to talk to someone to cancel the service. We decided to go with a locally owned company who had our bins to us two days after I signed up for the service and they pick up the garbage and recycles weekly so we don’t have to keep track of which week to bring recycles to the curb. Their service has been phenomenal. I will never do business with Waste Management again and encourage everyone to support local companies.

My dumpster rental was overcharged for an inactivity fee and load amount. I called about a mistake I made in scheduling the pickup and the woman was nice rescheduled my pickup for the next day and said there would be no inactivity charge. We'll there was and when I called corporate to have it removed/reviewed they submitted a ticket and I never heard anything more about it or received that money back. When I followed up I got transferred to 4 different people, finally said she would have the woman who submitted the review of the charge call me, that was two months ago. I haven't received any additional information or had any luck when I call back. I am also owed roughly 60$ in credit at the conclusion of my rental which has not been returned after requesting it multiple times. Update: after I wrote this review, WM reached out to me and refunded the inactivity charge and the 60$ credit. Updated to 3 stars because the drivers were awesome.

Actual removal service is great. Customer service from all but drivers/helpers not so great. Random increases your not told about , pretty much every billing cycle. Not worth it

5 weeks since we started service, still no containers for trash or recycling. Difficult to find contact info, then 20-30 minute wait times to talk to a human. Account set up incorrectly due to confusing language on website and account. We live 1/2 mile from WM; it shouldn’t be this hard to drop off a trash can.

It has been next for impossible to get consistent service at my house. WM does not seem to care, I regularly need to contact the route supervisor for service. Trash sits at the end of my driveway for weeks. I gave up entirely on recycling as they never came either and the bins were smaller. WM does charge consistently though! Every month donate right to their EBIT line. For sure a breach of contract and violation of consumer protection laws. They did pick up this week, so fingers crossed I can leave the supervisor alone! This has been going on for almost 10 months!

I've been using Waste Management for a while now and have been very happy with their service. They're reliable, professional, and easy to work with. There were time's I forgot to take my garbage out to the curb, they still came back and took care of it — that really stood out to me. Yes, the pricing is a bit higher compared to some others, but honestly, the quality of service makes it worth it. I appreciate that they go the extra mile.

Went to cancel my curbside pick up because originally they offered me a cheaper price for a year then raised it 4 months later. I went to cancel service and had to wait for almost a hour to get someone on the line. They also charge a $75 container pick up fee. Suburban Disposal was $100 cheaper a year. Don't do business with waste management.

Customer service representative absolutely no help! Called to see if I was going to be billed for something that I did not order and the customer service representative told me they had to investigate it. He said they did not have access to the account to see if I was going to be billed or not. It’s been a week and they have not responded with their investigation. In my opinion it was just to blow me off so they didn’t have to do anything.

On February 21st I had a trash and recycling pickup. The driver bypassed my home and went to my neighbors across the street. Took care of their trash, looked at mine sitting at the edge of the road, and marked it as “bins not out”. I immediately contacted WM about this and requested a missed pickup. They then canceled the new pickup due to “bad weather alerts”. What bad weather? February 24th was 45 degrees and sunny all day. Today, February 25th, is 44 degrees and overcast. I’m now being told they can’t do a pick up until the next scheduled pick up. Meanwhile they want to keep raising the monthly garbage bill every month when they can’t even perform the service I’m paying for.

Are trash removal individuals are amazing but the recycle individual is absolutely horrible. Passive aggressive and nasty and does not do their job properly. Leaves items scattered all over the roadway upon pick up and does not pick up items they should. Leaves nasty messages on our recycle when accidentally put foam in the recycle bin one time. I have called waste management more than one time on this always promised a phone call back, and it never happens

Waste Management over the last six months had decreased in timeliness for pick ups for my area, due to I am the only one on my street who still uses them. When I tried to work with them to keep my business, just asked for a comparable rate to the other companies in the area they would not meet those rates so I decided to go elsewhere. I had multiple conversations with their team and not once did they mention they would not refund me the money I have prepaid for services until I finally cancelled the account. After I cancelled the account they explained not only will they not refund me, but they wouldn't even allow me to roll it over to my other account with them. And if they would they said it would mean I would need to pay $75 for them to come pick up my bin. They said I should just consider it a wash. I am so disappointed with their lack of trying to work with a customer. Very disappointing since I have been with them for over two years.

After three years of 5 star service, WM removed the human contract to customer service and replaced it with an AI automated judge of my call and over the course of 2 months of calling, never once allow me to actually connect to a human to cancel my service. I had to call from my husband phone, pretend i wanted to start a new residential service to finally talk to a human. They, the human customer service rep, told me they life for her is very difficult now because everyone she does talk is very angry for getting the same ridiculous run around trying to teach a human and by pass the AI automated service that can not help every customer with a special need. Ridiculous! Dependable Disposal has wonderful people who answer the phone, whom you actually talk to and Dependable has a much better residential price.
