We were on our way to pick up our new puppy when we caught that pothole on Monroe at clover. We called AAA and Jason showed up in 10 minutes. It was the easiest process. He was personable, professional and most of all kind to us on an exciting day that went wrong. I cannot say enough about Jason and how much his help kept us focused and relaxed when we just wanted to scream. Highly recommend these guys. Thank you. We did finally manage to get our puppy. AAA call.. waited 3 1/2 hours for a tire change. The tech that showed up was great. His name is Joseph. Great guy, very efficient. Thank you Joseph, screw you AAA.
When customers pay for a service, they should receive it with compassion, kindness, care, and patience. In this instance, none of these qualities were demonstrated. The customer waited from 2:15 pm to 5:45 pm in 17-degree weather for a jump start. I sat in my car without heat for hours, and the towing company employee who finally arrived was rude and tried to blame me for his mistake. Despite giving AAA my location and license plate, Joseph L went to the wrong row and offered an excuse for the error. I would NEVER use this towing company again. I am 60years old I had no other person to call and the reason I pay for the service.
Worst experience ever. Needed a tow truck due to something hanging from the bottom of the car. Tow truck came and tow driver got in car and started to drive up the ramp ripping the piece underneath completely off. Mechanic had more work to do! I tried contacting Action Towing to request ~ at the very least a refund for the tow and was advised I would get a call back from the owner. Never happened. I have now been advised I will NOT receive anything and was treated so rudely.
I called for tow service through Geico and they set me up with action towing in Henrietta and the tow service was wonderful. My steering wheel would not move due to faulty steering wheel lock & I’m not a fan of towing service for my car but Scott from action towing did a awesome fantastic job putting my car on the flat bed and secured it very well & he made me feel comfortable of him getting my car safe to my dealership and he called me like he promised he would. Action Towing on Marketplace Dr in Rochester has never let me down. From auto to motorcycle, they can tow it. They are usually pretty prompt and all of their guys so far have been great. Quick shoutout to Michael H., a driver there who I’ve worked with twice now. He goes above and beyond and I want Action to know that we really appreciate Michael. You have a good man there.
Unfortunately had a work vehicle breakdown in the freezing cold today called Action Towing as I always do. They showed up right away took good care of me had a new tow truck technician he was very hard working knowledgeable and professional. I would highly recommend him for this business.
This place is amazing. Both the dispatcher and the tow truck driver were helpful and professional. If you wait on AAA to arrive you’ll die first from hunger and frostbite. Go straight to Action Towing. AAA wanted me to wait two days with my car in a parking lot because they “couldn’t find anyone”. Thankfully, places like this still exist.
My car was having issues so Scott came out to tow today. He was very professional and gracious with some extra car advice. I'll be calling Action Towing first if anything happens to my car.
I called through my insurance company GEICO I got good service one day. The next day was pure living hell. I would not recommend this company that discriminates to their customers. I received a call and was told oh i’m not gonna be able to take your truck out your driveway. Your driveway is too small. Keep in mind. My driveway can hold up to four and five vehicles. My driveway is wide. Then he hung up on me. How can you not take the vehicle out the driveway when the same company put my Truck in the driveway the night before and towed it from off of the street where my car lifted me to my driveway reason why it went to my driveway was because the shop was closed till today. I called back and spoke to the same operator who took my order for the second time and she told me that she’ll have a conversation with him and this will be reported lies. You’ll working together keep in mind. The first toll through GEICO was Free. The one for today was gonna be paying out of my pocket. I would not recommend this towing company to nobody. The Lady got rude and disrespectful to my husband for no reason asking him have he ever driven tow trucks my husband used to drive box trucks. But that’s neither here or there is that a respectful way to talk to a customer because y’all in the wrong. We we’re trying to spend money. I will be calling the higher up Monday morning. One thing For certain my car got towed and it wasn’t from this crappy company.
First off my wife got her dodge durango towed previous Friday which is last night from the inner city to pretty much around the corner of house in the driveway .Action towing company dropped the dodge Durango off with no problem .Wake up this mourning and called them again .Waited two hours just for a driver to come by and say it’s not possible to grab the truck from my driveway that was dropped off previous night from the same company exact .So when I called the company myself for my wife because they were not answering her calls for some reason the operator was disrespectful but not at first truthfully .She was so nasty and sarcastic and we were trying to give their company business .She ask me if I have driven tow trucks before .In the last 24 hours it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realize yall are being racist .Not one time I was being disrespectful to her .They gave us no good options because her exact words was “I will send another driver but he might say the same thing “.Making the story short these people don’t care about customers satisfaction.They will leave you dry and discouraged.I end up calling Sammy and son towing and got a cheaper rate and and a nice smile .He did his job good and with no problem quick and hurry .Monday I will contact action towing because I want to have this further investigation.further more yes towing companies always have business but at same time they still need to help their community
Called around trying to find someone to get my car back on the road after a snowstorm helped me right off it. All the other towing companies had a 2-3 hour wait and Acton was able to get someone out there to help me in AN HOUR. They were very kind once they got there and they charged such a reasonable rate. I'd recommend them to anyone at this point for what good work they did.
Today a gentleman by the name of Bobby came to tow my rental vehicle that stopped working. Bobby came out and was very polite and was able to talk me through a tough time a frustrating situation. I’ve never experienced service like this from a tow company. Bobby was able to express a lot of empathy and seemed very excited to be at work. By the time our interaction was over, I completely forgot that I was without a car. Hopefully I don’t need a tow service again, but if I do, I will definitely be calling you guys. Thank you
Dangerous drivers. Called in today to report a reckless tow driver that had a white Kia SUV on the back headed into Scottsville at 4 pm today.. Driver was speeding, blowing through stop signs, and whipping turns. I called the shop and reported it and they just hung up on me. Be careful who you trust to tow your vehicle.
I had a great experience with these guys. I havnt had a breakdown in 20 years. These guys were fast and the driver they sent, Mario, was very friendly and professional. He gave me a ride home, explained everything he was doing including the charge. It was cheaper than I thought and honestly with the great a service and the drivers friendliness and professionalism, was not a tough price to pay. If you need a tow and have a choice ask for these guys.
I had hit a curb pretty badly right before my shift . After a long day of working and calling around , I managed to find out about AAA from a few friends. They sent me Nick from action towing and he was amazing . He put in so much effort to fixing my tire that had a very striped lug nut that refused to get out all day. I appreciate the effort and detailed explanation that gave me to learning my car as a new driver .
What an exceptional company. We broke down late last night on the NY throughway 6.5 hours into a 7 hour drive, called triple A who patched us through to Action. The Action dispatcher was so friendly & told us a tow truck would be there in about 30 min...the truck pulled up 30 min later & first thing the driver said to us was that he was sorry we broke down & apologized he couldn't get here sooner...the guy was 25 miles away. 3-4 minutes for paperwork, our ride pulls up & the Action towing guy says "I've got it from here and sorry again you had some trouble getting home" and made sure we had everything we needed from vehicle before we left. What a great guy (wish I could remember his name), super professional, personable, and really seemed to understand the suck of having a car break down. You can tell this is a top notched company.
AAA sent a driver from Action to assist me with a blown tire. Nick was the driver that arrived and he was quick, knowledgeable, great attitude and customer service, he made the whole situation much easier. Thanks Nick!

As a college student, I’m really glad I found such a reliable auto shop for my car. They made everything super easy whenever I had an issue—whether it was brakes, an oil leak, or low coolant. They always took the time to explain things clearly and even kept my dad in the loop about what was going on. Dropping off my car after hours was also very convenient.
Around 8:30 on Saturday night I hit something in the road that destroyed a tire. AAA sent Ian from Action Towing, and I am glad they did! He was smart, competent, and professional, and his people skills were extraordinary. He gave me the information I needed to make decisions, clearly explained what would happen in the towing, and made sure I was as comfortable as possible, given the situation. Ian represents his company admirably!
Had a problem with my serpentine belt and water pump. The people at action towing and service took care of it within 48 hours. And the price was reasonable. Great place will use them again.
Had a driver named Jason come out to tow my car. Not only did Jason explain to me the process and try some solutions, but he was extremely helpful and made a stressful situation much better. Highly professional- a real credit to your company. A+++
I unfortunately did not have the same experience with towing & service. I called AAA on Aug 19th for my car that wouldn't start. I had asked they they tow it to the shop I normally go to but the tow guy from Action called & told me it was just a battery and did I want to tow it to their shop for the AAA battery so I get that discount...sure. By Friday August 22nd, my car still wasn't ready to be picked up. Finally that evening, they said my car was all set to go but charged me $422!!! Apparently they did some diagnostic testing that did not need to be done. After questioning that, I was told that they would refund me (about half) due to the diagnostics being done when not needed. Great, faith restored a little bit. That VERY SAME EVENING, my car breaks down again. AAA then doesn't cover the tow because it was considered a "re-tow" for the same issue. This time I ensure that it is towed to my shop where they replaced my alternator for me IN A SINGLE DAY. Issues: don't keep my car for three whole days for "just a battery" and then send me on my way without checking the alternator and ensuring my vehicle was actually fixed...which didn't you try to charge me for the diagnostics which would have showed an issue with the alternator?? Secondly, it is now 9/2 and I still don't have the refund that was promised to me on 8/22. I work in finance and know that 3-5 business days is standard for a return to process. I called last week and was told that the return had been processed but clearly it hasn't been. Back around 2013 I had an issue here with a tire that they had "fixed" but was flat again the day I picked it up because they never checked the valve stem. I hadn't returned to this shop since then until this most recent experience. Truly wish that AAA partnered with more shops in the Henrietta area than just this place. I don't trust them at all.
Nick from Action Auto (truck 21 I believe) was extremely helpful in getting my car back up and starting as well as replacing my battery.
I placed a call to AAA on 7/25 and Nick arrived in about 15 minutes after the call and was able to jump my car and replace my battery. All of this was done before the time AAA gave me for his arrival.
Total pro and I will recommend them (and Nick) for any future automotive needs I may have. Very happy with the service as well as professionalism to get my car back up and running :).
I was very, very pleased with the service when I called AAA about my truck not starting. They sent Nick Russel from Action Towing to help and he was the nicest person that you can meet. He was helpful and was very knowledgeable about the problem. He answered all the questions I had and worked very hard to get us back on the road so I could go to work, which we was able to do. I definitely would recommend Action Towing because of him.
We were assigned to Action Rochester through Triple AAA after I requested help with a flat tire. Zack arrived quickly. He found the hole and fixed the tire within 15 minutes. We were able to keep the plans we had for the evening which made my kids very happy. It was a great experience. Thank you so much, Zack!

I hate this company. They took my order request through AAA and neglected to realize that their company does not even tow my vehicle although their trucks are perfectly equipped to do so. He told me my van was too tall and that I would need a new truck… Which would be the same height, but from a different company because he was unwilling to help me. I waited for three hours and even had to call AAA to make sure they were even still on their way. They called action to confirm everything was all good 2 hours into the wait. I made sure to put that my van was tall on the original service request too and the company neglected to read the notation or even recognize that they do not tow sprinter vans at all. Another company was able to help immediately and so action Towing wasted over three hours of my time for absolutely no reason and they were extremely rude and unhelpful on top of that. Horrible company, giving the tow industry a bad name. They acted like towing a shorty sprinter was a huge risk and undertaking. I’ve had sprinters towed plenty of times by other companies and no one’s ever took issue with the job. Truly Pathetic!
