Griff's towed my daughter's car (deserved, fine...) BUT then one of their employees ransacked the vehicle, stole her belongings - she called Griff's because she could see her airPods going down the road and they HUNG UP ON HER. Returned the next day with the police and had the EMPLOYEE arrested - however he also ruined photos, threw her personal items everywhere (including her father's ashes that hang from her mirror), and stole all the cash he could find. AND now they want $790 for the trouble! Guy even said to her "you're not going to put this on google, are you?" HA! charging full price to have our veicle broken into with no fees removed for the hastle... you BET we are. Too bad NYS is a catch and release state... the guy is probably back to work there with a slap on the wrist. Terrible way to treat anyone.
I have been going to Griff’s for many years and they have always provided fantastic service. As far as service is concerned, I would rate Griff’s a 5. However, I am very put off with Griff’s after my last visit. I was quoted a price for the repairs on the telephone. When I arrived, I spoke with the customer service representative at the front desk. I proceeded to pay for the repairs by credit card. After reviewing the receipt, I noticed the total was 40.00 more because I used a credit card. When I went back to ask why my bill was $40.00 higher, the customer service representative pointed to a sign in the corner. It stated that using a card would incur a 3.99 fee. When I questioned why it was 40.00 as opposed to $4.00 he stated, no that is a 3.99% fee on your entire bill. I quickly pointed out to him that this was simply bad business. At no time was I made aware of this outrageous fee by phone or in person. I also pointed out that the sign was not in direct view and was extremely misleading. I would have stopped by my bank to get the cash rather than get gouged by this unfair fee for using my card. It is nothing short of Shady and it is just wrong. Despite the great service, I am not sure if I will go back. Again, I am very disappointed in the way this all went down.
Bring cash! They charge 4 percent to use your credit card. We had a 900 dollar bill and got hosed for an extra 40 dollars to use a credit card. They do great work, but don't pay with a credit card!
Driver came out after another company refused service. The driver was very nice and he arrived quick. Highly recommended Griffs whenever you need a tow
Griffs did a great job on my vehicle. Prices were reasonable, and the turnaround was quick. I definitely will be a repeat customer. They go above and beyond for their customers.
I called for roadside service for a business truck , they men I spoke to were more than helpful and delivered on there promise. Even when they were not sure if they could assist, they still continued to offer suggestions. I am very thankful, they were so helpful. Luckily, I just happened to call them off a Google search.
My car was towed after a terrible accident and I received the most disrespectful disheartening service. They refused me access to my car which is agains the state law in New York State to which both Chris and Chad said “ I don’t really give a crap about what the state of New York says” they towed my car to another location and from there I noticed things missing from my car I called to talk and see if I should be picking up those items from them or if I should continue with a lawsuit. They said that if anything was missing it would have been taken at the accident scene and said I was a problem and hung up on me 5 times. Do not bring your business to dishonest people. Also make sure if you’re in an accident or need your car towed you take pictures of every item in your car. Another good way to resolve this is to reach out to small claims lawyer and fill out an application to move forward with suing. Don’t let this happen to you!
An amazing young lady came out to Hilton to tow my son's car to a local garage because his exhaust had fallen . She was very professional and efficient, even in the cold . Would recommend Griffs for any towing service

I'm a 77 yr lady that had to callAAA today Saturday 10/12 and the driver who came to my resue was Zach He was so very kind and stayed with me until my daughter came We were on 390 N for almost 20 minutes and even though I say that Zach could leave he stayed with me He was so extremely thoughtful sweet and worried about my safely He was amazing Please thank him for everything he did To me he is the best Thank you Zach
Such a shady business told my mom she need a new radiator fan when she had a coolant leak stole wheel lock piece take take lugnuts off and when I got in a car accident you guys went through my glove box and center console this is just bad business
Edit: I never said anything for my because I get how it is your a business but blatantly trying to steal in front of me is crazy I grabbed everything out of my car before you towed it I remember specifically shutting center console so you didn’t steal anything came back because I forgot something and center console and glove box are now open only person to go into car is ur employee I have it on my dash cam to you guys are lucky I don’t press charges or try to sue you I could probably got a good shot at wining but that’s not worth it this happened a couple months ago but someone else had a similar experience

Just go to the dealership. Just go to the dealership. I paid $525 in labor on a pad and rotor swap and waited almost two weeks for work to be completed due to incorrect parts being ordered. At least the dealership will scam me faster.
Update: The following week after the vehicle was returned, the rear left caliper began to leak brake fluid. I returned to the shop seeking assistance, I was denied any form of assurance that I would not be charged further despite the fact that the calipers were in working order upon delivery and not so after work was completed. After delivery directly to the dealership I was informed that all four of the rear pads were not in the correct places. This has caused damage to both rear calipers aside from the caliper being incorrectly re-installed after the pad and rotor change. The vehicle is now at the Mini dealer being repaired and the total after the damage is going to cost an additional $2,050 to get the vehicle in working order (includes both rear calipers and all rear brake pads). All information added is per mini technicians diagnosing the vehicle. Not all additional issues were included above, brake sensors were also damaged and will need to be replaced. To quote the mini technician "I don't know who did this but they butchered it". Bear in mind, mini was not informed of the situation prior other than letting them know the brakes were recently replaced and the rear left caliper was leaking.
Will continue to not recommend this shop, neither will any of my coworkers who have previously used this shop and had minor issues intermittently but nothing this major like this situation. The dealership charges only $10 more per shop hour (Mini of Rochester) and offers courtesy vehicles to drivers while they are getting repairs done (when available).
My experience with Grff's has been amazing. I have taken my vehicle in for a few repairs in the past year and I have always felt comfortable.I don't get that feeling like I'm being taken for a ride for being a woman .The most important thing to me is the honesty, the quality of the work and the extra mile they go making sure my 12 year old car in good running & safe .

My first experience about 4 years ago was needing a tow, requested where to tow it, then lied to about why they brought it to Griff's. Most recently because my son's car broke down on the road impeding traffic Griff"s towed it. The tow price for the distance was almost double what I've paid other providers. After one day if you don't have it gone or them fixing, they start the storage fees.
Our van had engine failure tonight so I had to call AAA to get it towed. I was on the shoulder of the 390 expressway. It was dark so the conditions were not exactly safe. The good news is that Mason from Griff’s Auto Service showed up to give me a tow in less then 10 minutes. Mason was very efficient and professional. I highly recommend Griff’s if you need help.
Honest, reasonably priced car repairs. Took 2017 Lincoln MKX in for electronic trunk latch issue draining battery. Problem diagnosed and fixed in under four hours. Very positive experience.

I had a nail in my tire and called to see when they could fit me in. They told me to drive up anytime that day. I immediately drove up and they were able to fit me in. I was there for a mere 25 minutes from beginning to end. They were friendly, had free WIFI (so i was able to work) and the price was fair! Great local business to support!

Where do i begin. I only used this place because its AAA recommended. My car wouldnt start for two days so I had it towed in. The gentlemen who towed it was extremely nice and said it definitely had an issue. My car went in and I reached out to see if I could go get it. They said there wasnt a problem but theyll call me back. They never called me back. I ended up having to miss work that night. So i call in the AM and they seemed annoyed i was calling and said there was no issue. So i go to pickup and findout they charged me for “testing”. the same testing that can be done for FREE elsewhere. The least they could have done was put my hubcaps back on! The guy said the problem i was having was most likely going to happen again, after i told him i work late hours and was nervous of being stuck somewhere. now ill have to bring my car elsewhere. little tip save your time and money!
Griff's AAA services are top notch! As soon as I put in the request through AAA Griff's has been here in a fraction of the ETA. Swapped out my battery one cold winter eve in no time, and was with a friend when their car needed a tow to the shop and bam no issues. Always super polite, good humored (a plus in my book), and quick to get the service request complete.
If you need any sort of tow these are the guys to call !!! My car broke down and they were there within 30 minutes. I was a little worried since my car is only 3.5 inches off the ground but they got the car home without any damage. Dispatch was super friendly and professional and the tow guy even more.He went above and beyond by putting my car exactly where I wanted on my narrow driveway. To top it off it was extremely affordable too. Highly recommend.
This was my first time being towed after a traffic accident, so I wasn't sure what to expect.
They needed my insurance company to call and confirm coverage with them, and only took payment in cash. The business closes at 5, but they lock up the cars at 4.
Wasn't too much of a hassle, just want to give other first-timers the heads up.
My car got hit Saturday, they were closed until Monday morning and I finally got my car at noon. It was 189$ for the tow and the impound, then they towed it out of the lot before closing time so that AAA could come and tow it to my mechanic.
Not going as high as 5, because there were a lot of hoops for me to jump through for a towing lot the police sent my car to on default. But not as low as 3 because they were friendly, and I honestly don't have the experience to judge what standard accident towing looks like.
Really happy with the service, they fixed a few issues with car and it now runs really well. I wish they wouldn't smoke in the building, it's so disgusting. You go in to pick up the car and can't breathe it's so completely filled with smoke. If your check out isn't super quick, you leave smelling like an ashtray, I showered as soon as I got home and had to air out my coat to get the smell out of it. They should.be more respectful of the customers and keep the smoking in the garage.
We called AAA this morning because our car wouldn't start. We assumed we needed a new battery. Griff's was sent by AAA and the employee told us that a machine would tell us if it was the battery, starter or alternator. When it was ready to give a report, he held it in front of us and went through the screens, telling us that there was no problem with the battery, starter or alternator. We were very impressed with the way our problem was handled, especially as he explained the results. He "jumped" the existing battery and our car started. We now knew that the battery was fine and nothing else showed as a problem. A very pleasant experience!! Would not hesitate to recommend Griff's to others.
