This store was great. Justin had everything I needed ready for me when I got there. The other guy carried everything to the car for me and they were clearly happy to have my business.
I've always had positive experiences here—until today. I came in looking for a specific valve stem, even had it in hand, but was sold the wrong one. Unfortunately, the associate didn’t check the system for the correct item, despite my clear request. I later verified online that it was actually in stock. Now I'm unable to get a refund.
The young man who assisted me seemed unknowledgeable and appeared disinterested in helping, which made for a disappointing visit. In contrast, I've previously been helped by older staff members who were exceptional. It seems the quality of service really depends on who you get.
Picked up my car from my storage facility and found my terminals are corroded. They found me replacements and assisted me with my battery replacement when I was running into issues. Very friendly and helpful staff.
I was stranded along the roadside, in a snowstorm. My husband arrived at your store at 7:26 and started walking toward the store. A worker, outside clearing the walk said "We don't open til 7:30." When he explained that I was stranded and he just needed a wiper blade, it was repeated that they didn't open til 7:30. I hope that 4 minutes was worth the sale, because we like NAPA blades better anyhow.
I have tried this place multiple times and seems anything more than fluids there is an issue. Really stinks to because the location is amazing for any one in Carthage.
Reply to response: I’m not sure if it’s lack of knowledge or just ignorance. But it seems if any one realizes they made a mistake they have zero resilience and it becomes the end of the world for them…hence treating and customer that has showed them there mistake undesirably.
I am an elite member hence spent thousand of dollars through advance when I was down south because they were the best providers. Coming up to New York and dealing with this Carthage store has drastically changed my outlook on Advance.
After several auto shops said something could not be fix... Delmar an employee at advanced auto got me the parts and told me how to fix it myself and bingo job done. Great place great people
I called two weeks on advance to discuss dropping off a large package off (they are UPS drop drop point) they said it should not be a problem because they have had larger packages come in. However when I arrived they said it was to heavy, and told me to go to the main UPS store. When I arrived there I asked if there was an actual limit and they said no, it is the same as the UPS store. I'm very disappointed that their incompetence led me to waste my time and gas.
This company will hire anybody with a pulse. Whatever I call the store for parts nobody knows what I'm talking about are they just order the wrong things to make a sale. The old employees were better but they don't actually care about hiring people that know things they just want bodies in the store.
Oh boy you talking about Vance Auto Parts in Watertown New York that is a good place to go for parts if you want second opinion if you can go to AutoZone in Watertown Advance Auto Parts is a very well-known area for get parts if they can't get it they'll order it you have a great day
I called to order a part talked to a "New Guy" he put me on hold... Then Delmar H picked up and I asked him about the parts I needed atleast he knew what I was talking about "the "New Guy didn't". He not only knew he helped me order my Parts and told me my parts would be in the next day. When I went in to pick up my parts it was Delmar H that waited on me in the Store. I was so Glad. He is an Awesome Guy. You People are Lucky to Have such a Wonderful Employee at Your Carthage Store. Without him I would shop elsewhere.
I always go to advance Auto parts for anything from windshield wipers to batteries. The people that work there are friendly knowledgeable and so helpful and don't make this senior citizen lady feel like she's dumb. I recommend them to everyone that needs a part for their car or products to clean their car.
Call the store for part, I was told they don't have it and no advance Auto part does, looked it up on their website, their store not only had it in stock, it could also be delivered within 2 days for free to home. needless to say I did not go there for the part.
Alright, these guys are helpful. I often go in looking for stuff that I use for weird projects and they always take the time to help me find what I need.
Have gotten the wrong parts many times over from this place, and just yesterday 4/9/20, hubby went in and was treated like dirt by one of the employees, this place is and has always been poorly managed. Some employees have no experience with auto parts. Whenever possible we go to NAPA or Advantage auto.
They have almost everything on what you need if they don't then they will order it for you, but if you are on a rush expect a little delay for a part they do not have.
