The person who rang me up did phenomenal. Took his time to find me extra savings, and I ended up with nearly enough supplies to do 2 oil changes for the price of one. I'll be returning here always. Very very good.

I went in the Herkimer store on a Sun afternoon for a new battery. Will was pleasant, knowledgeable, and patient as he worked in the cold for quite a while installing the new battery! Great sales associate and customer service.
came in for a part asked before we bought the part if it was not the right one and wouldn't fit if we can bring it back and get a refund employee checked with another employee came back and said yes and said we had to bring the card we used at purchase to be refunded on the same card...today return part didn't fit manager says nope can't we explain how we asked and double checked before buying the part says well I can refuse but I'll do store credit and that's me being a great guy as for employee ill give them a talking to...can't belive I'm from California and needed a part now have a 200 dollar gift card and manager anything but understanding
I am a first used car purchaser and upon walking in I met a tall good looking man named Derek who was nice and let me choose the car I wanted which I chose through their website. It didn't pass inspection however. I let Derek recommend a car to me and I really liked it. It did pass inspection and he gave me $20 for gas money which was also very nice of him. I had to come back within a few weeks bc the airbag light and check engine light came on, it was a bit difficult getting an appt. with them due to having to keep postponing via the weather and that they only asked if I could come in at 9 or 10 when they open which was sometimes difficult to work around. When I spoke with a gentleman named Matt he was very helpful in making sure that at my next appt I got asissted and they did just that, with no charge. My car is working perfectly fine and I haven't had to go back since. I am very happy with my vehicle and they seem like a nice family owned business. 😊
Went in and bought new wipes and they only jad driver side and they said they could order the passenger side and it would be in the next day call Saturday and they said it would be in on Sunday and they said nope we can't order that who ever told us that they were so wrong to tell us that so today we had to get a different wiper andthe guy that said we could order the wiper is the one that put on our wiper today and also they were supposed to give us a discount but they didn't because of the mix-up
Excellent service. A few months ago..A Young gentleman. Instantly looked up my wiperblades. Went straight over picked out the exact pair I preferred...agreed best to get both.. start fresh... proceeded after ringing out my charges.. to bring blades and me out. Quite professionally with such curtiousy, put both new blades on. Informed me that . Ixd chosen right to get both. Seems clip to drivers blade was cracked unhooked blade was ready to ip off wiper arm.
Good service I went in for an item they didn't have it they were able to check their computers found out it was in another store they were able to get it from the other store delivered to them rather quickly
I called the store at 8pm and inquired about a part, and were told they close at nine but that the part could be picked up the following day after work at 230pm. Upon arriving at the store at 11am(sent my parents to grab it) they were told that there’s only a 12 hour hold policy and they don’t have the part anymore. So if you’re not open during this 12 hour holding period how pray tell do you go about picking up items? Do better Auto Zone!

They have just about everything you need, from batteries to washer fluid. They also offer tool rentals, but I recommend calling ahead to see if they have the tool you're looking for because they didn't have an impact wrench at this location.
Christmas Eve, 2019, I'm driving from New Mexico to Maine. My alternator deicides that 4:30PM is a good time to die (with no warning light coming on ahead of time). The 2 gentlemen working there helped me first determine it was the alternator, not the battery. They had one in stock, but then totally went the extra mile by tracking down a mechanic who was willing to install it on Christmas Eve. We were delayed by a few hours, but aside from that we made it to Maine without incident, just a little later than expected. These guys didn't just help me with my car, they saved my Christmas holiday.
This is the most complete auto parts store in the Herkimer County area. I have found nothing to compete with them between Utica and Gloversville. They usually have what I want. It gets pretty busy in there at times but they have a lot of workers.
Prompt, friendly, courteous, non-sexist, helpful to the max. I forgot his name, but he installed a ?$2.00 light bulb?for me on a friends Subaru SUV, in Herkimer, NY, so I wouldn't get pulled over and ticketed for same (in the cold, dark parking lot. The other parts store said they didn't have it, without even looking at my car, computer,o anything. BS.! Thank you Mr ? for your everything.
They dont really care if your inline they will take anyone thats ready, at least that is what happened to me. When no one else in the store they will ask if you if you need anything but not when there are people in the store.
My fiancee went to get her battery and alternator checked, the person helping her kept walking away while she tried to figure out the best route to go after the diagnostic. Didnt offer her any car parts, and overall did nothing for her but tell her that the alternator is dead and to go see a mechanic. Apparently customer service isnt part of the job description here.
I called to see if a very specific part was in stock, and was told that it was and it would be set to the side for me to drive almost 2 hours to pick it up. Upon arriving it was the opposite of what I was told it was and the person I spoke with proceded to tell me he didn't hear what I said, although he repeated it back. I will never do business here again.
So I guess with over 30 years in the automotive/parts field, my option must count for something so here it is.

This location is right in center of town on the main thourofare. The store is clean, well lit a fairly well stocked for the do it your self mechanic, or for the commercial shop that needs the item that they may have .
They do warranty replacements without hassle. With that said, the warranty replacements seem a little to frequently for my taste though if your using any of their store brand items. My suggestion is to avoid Vallue Craft at all cost !! Buy Duralast only if you have no other choice! Always get the national name brand if available! Names like Moog, BCA, National, Optima, Timken, Gates,Wagner and Bendix just to name a few.
Always ask what are ALL the options, even special order items or items located at other area stores. Because they are always geared to sell you what that have more than what's best for you and your vehicle.
The reason I give em 4 stars instead of 3 is they are the only place that still do Check Engine Light Diagnostics for free. Although it's not as pervasive as a mechanic, it dose catch those will gas cap codes and most simple rectified items, but drivabilty issue are always best handled by trained technicians
went there today to return a thermostat. I had picked up the wrong one the day before. the guy at the counter took the thermostat and look up the new one he told me that no matter what model he looked at it was the same thermostat. I told him it was not and showed him a picture of the thermostat from the car on my phone. He said it is this thermostat right here it doesn't matter what it looks like. So I said nevermind just give me my money back. I then asked him for fuses for in the relay he looked them up and said we don't have any sorry and the whole time he was taking care of me he never looked at me once he continued to look out the window off in space. Worst service I've ever had. went to Advanced Auto around the corner got my part and fuses within 5 minutes yes I had to pay more but the service was better
