This is the BEST parts store EVER, The customer service is above and beyond stellar. Rich and all the staff are a huge assets. If I could give a millions stars, I absolutely would!!!!!! Thank you for always doing a fabulous job!
Really helpful, friendly staff but this location could use some renovation and a good dusting....it doesn't seem anybody has kept up with the overall integrity of the building...not that big, physically and the selection.
I was driving to the Catskills for the weekend and I noticed that the strike platte on my drivers door was loose. I stopped by CarQuest to get a T40 socket to tighten it. They gave me the socket and a socket wrench I tightened it and there was no charge. The cheerful gentleman behind the counter wished me a good weekend and I was on my way, no charge. I have always been a big fan of CarQuest their counter folks are always so knowledgeable and helpful. But this was above and beyond! I could not have been more impressed!!!
Ordered a bunch of parts online. They were supposed to be ready in 30 according to the Advanced Autoparts website. I arrived the next day and the parts were not pulled, Then it took them 15 to pull the parts....
Defintely overcharges. I bought Car Quest braind front wipers, a cabin air filter, and an air filter for a Rav 4 and they charged me $95. Front 26" wiper for $32.49. A total ripoff on prices.
I've been coming here for years. These guys know their stuff and are very helpful. They usually have what you need or can get it quick. Every now and then I'll use another store when I'm in a rush but if it's for a bigger job or a significant part I'll go here.
Can't say enough how great my experience with CarQuest was yesterday. My battery was on death's door and my son recommended I go to CarQuest. Pete asked what I needed and got me a battery, but I still didn't know how/where to have it installed. Pete called Mavis, spoke to Jim, and I went straight to Mavis. It was a stressful drive, as my car was dragging, many lights on the dashboard came on. But it was quickly taken care of. Pete went above and beyond the call of duty and called Mavis! Excellent service. Thank you!
asked for help picking a product and was laughed at by the staff and told that the only way to fix my problem was by hiring one of their buddies. watched a youtube video, went to a different auto parts store, and fixed it myself!
I love how helpful and professional the workers are at Carquest! I had some silly questions because I'm not that familiar with car parts. They made me feel comfortable and were so easy to work with. I definitely recommend stopping by if you need help or have questions. They are knowledgeable and super cool!
I'm a nurse at Northern Dutchess Hospital. On my way to work one morning at about 6am, my car had transmission problems and it wouldn't stay in gear. I coasted into parking lot by Carquest. I thought maybe it was low on transmission fluid. I noticed the guys taking a delivery in the back of store. Store was not open yet. I went over to ask someone if I could buy some transmission fluid to put in and see if that would help the problem. Will was so great. He came over with me and checked my level of fluid. Added a quart of transmission fluid for me. It didn't fix the problem and I had to have it towed home after work that night....but I was so thankful for the help. Thank you Will!! I would highly recommend Carquest. They were lifesavers!!!!
My experience:
I go in to carquest in Red Hook to get a replacement headlight for my Honda CRV. It is in stock at auto zone but I was trying to save a trip to Kingston. (My mistake) I enter the store and go to the light section. Nothing is organized. Of course they don’t have the light I need (Sylvania H-11) but they do have a cheap brand that is H-11. I go to the register
Me: is a H-11 no name brand the same as a H-11 Sylvania. I’m aware it might be a silly question. It’s for a 2016 Honda CRV SE
Worker #1: I have no idea
Me: well if I buy it and it don’t fit can I return it?
Worker #1: no returns in this store.
Me: ok well I think it’s the same I guess I’ll get it
Worker#1: what car is it for again?
Me: 2016 Honda CRV
Worker types on his computer with two index fingers for 30 seconds
Worker #1: what car is it again?
Me: forget it I’ll just buy it.
Lesson learned, don’t come here unless it’s a emergency and I know what I need. These workers don’t have a clue
If their were more stars to give than I give they would get them all, I work with these guys just about everyday and they will literally do anything short of breaking their backs to find the part you need if they don't have it.
See Tom for parts, others are courteous but don’t display a positive demeanor. Be careful buying parts because Carquest is now a part of Advanced Auto (Advance Auto and Autozone sell trash, based on my experience - 40 years repairing ) buy the best to get quality.
The best place for parts in northern dutchess... ! Today I went to 5 other stores and dealer no one stocked the part I was looking for.....and these guys had it!!
