Joe is a great guy and honest. Him and his crew are honest and straught-shooters. That's hard to come-by around here. Won't bring my car to anh other shop and I have a classic 1999 Honda Civic. Definitely trustworthy and won't overcharge or play games. Love them at Red Hook Auto!

My car could break down in front of Monro or Mavis, and I'd push my car all the way to Red Hook Auto. They are amazing at their job and are too busy to try to upsell random things to you.
So far I’ve only been here for my inspection. However. I plan on bringing my vehicle here for anything that they’ll allow me to bring it in for. Dare I say I’ve managed to find mechanics who aren’t trying to upsell you anything! I’m so happy I followed the recommendations I received and found these guys!!
Only went here for my NYS inspection. I made an appointment, they took me on time, and completed the inspection in a timely manner. I will be bringing my 2016 Volvo here when it needs service as they come highly recommended from my friend.
These guys are the real deal - honest and expert. After Mavis quoted me $2000 for a whole laundry list of dubious repairs, I called this shop about my issue and they said bring it in. The fix was much simpler than I’d been led to believe and the charge was $210. You can imagine my gratitude! They’re terrific mechanics and very decent people, a rare combo in a world of ripoff chains. Don’t hesitate.

I set up an appt to get my car inspected and they were one-time and done in a timely fashion. Recommended new tires and followed up with a price in less than an hour, when I asked for it. I will check around but I like the service so much I may come back to have them do my tires.
Joe and Pete and the rest of the crew do a great job of quickly turning around your vehicle for 99% of issues you may have. Slow leak in a tire, brakes, exhaust system, inspections, etc.. If it's something they feel should be taken to the manufacturer of your vehicle, they will be honest and let you that as well. Drive by and do the "car test", they always have a bunch of vehicles there and it's not because they are slow. It's because they are always forthright, affordable and quick to make the repair. Highly recommend.

So far they've treated me exceedingly fairly. I will continue to have my car serviced by this place as long as they continue to. Whenever I make an appointment they honor it and the fact that they will have it done by the end of the day. So this garage is a very satisfactory business.
This establishment is the most honest car repair facility I have ever had the pleasure of working with. They don't push things and will rightfully advise you of exactly what you need done and what you will need to do "down the road", so you do not have a breakdown. It is always a great sign when you see the same employees there and they know who you are. I can easily recommend them if you want fair people to deal with.

These guys are the most fair, honest and competent mechanics in this area. They don't try to sell you a service or product if its not needed. You can trust these guys. A lot of garages will try to take advantage of females lack of knowledge... not these guys... I recommend them as highly as I can
This place is a rarity in terms of fair pricing and quality service. When you get a quote they stick to it and do not price gouge like so many other repair shops. I would highly recommend this business. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and quite capable of communicating your vehicles' issues. The place is clean with a nice vibe and good coffee.
