I’ve used Dutchess several times on multiple cars and never had any issue. Clear communication, reasonably priced, excellent service. The mechanics take the time to explain and answer questions thoroughly when work other than routine maintenance is involved.

Worst mechanic ive ever been to!!! Came in for a dead alternator and they gave me another DEAD ALTERNATOR!! The alternator died in 3 months after getting it. They made me pay an insane price and did things i didn’t even ask them to do. I paid $800 when all i came in for was a dead alternator Now they’re refusing to give me a refund i may have to take legal action against them

Awesome work by both John, senior and John Jr. period! I took my car in for a check engine light, they figured out what was wrong after wrestling with my car hood. I've used several mechanics in the putnam and duchess county, and so far, they are the best.They went above and beyond. Top notch.

This place is incredibly accommodating, offers great service at reasonable prices, and has friendly staff. I've come here for quick fixes (for which the owner helped me out at no charge), inspections, oil changes, and even front brakes. Each visit, I'm greeted kindly and given reasonable expectations for the cost and timeline of the work. I feel lucky to live locally and will continue to use their services.

Great experience at Dutchess Auto Body! Ran into trouble with the brakes on my daughter's car. John had the car towed to the shop and returned in a timely fashion. They noticed the NYS inspection was due, and completed the service, saving my daughter a trip back at the end of the month. John and the crew are professional, trustworthy and friendly. I was told from another mechanic that I needed a new steering rack and steering column. When John looked at the car, all the car had was a leak. He was honest enough to inform me what was wrong with the car. I would highly recommend Duchess Auto for their honesty and integrity.

Went to get an inspection there and they are super fast and friendly. I like how they have a set daily time slot in which they do inspections in the morning to just get it out of the way. The line is only really “crazy” at the beginning or end of each month, but still super quick either way.

Bought new tires recommended by John . Love them , quiet and smooth. Front end alignment and an oil change . Fast , reliable service . Next week, the same work on my wife's car . I like to have all of my work done at Duchess Auto Body ! ?

Took my car due to an exhaust leak. Manager was kind and professional. Quality of work was good. Estimate for the work was given upfront. They provided me with a quick appt and car was done the same day. Will use them again for any future repairs.

John Sr , John Jr and Jason and the crew go above and beyond every time i work with them. they have excellent diagnostics and are super honest with repairs. i have had paint and body repair work as well. the quality and finish exceeded my expectations by far. i live close to the shop and when my cars and trucks are finished they bring the car back and park it in my driveway ( do not expect this service i just live very close ) all in all they are the best shop i have worked with.

John runs, easily, the best shop I have ever been to. They do great work, they always have a friendly disposition. My most recent experience I entered and John was taking care of an older couples vehicle, and after the car details were over John took a moment to listen and engage with them in a kind and natural way. They weren't a bother, he treated them like family. I have a great experience consistently with this shop.

I have used many mechanics and Auto repair places over the years. Some were bad some were better but hands down John and his crew are the BEST. Not only do they do high quality work at a very reasonable price but they are also so accommodating and always willing to help. I never question what they say needs to be because I trust them completely. I have never been disappointed in anyway with their service.
