Worst experience ever !! Don’t shop at this store regularly , they freak out for any moment , I had ASKED one of the employee if I can try some jeans she said yes go to the bathroom and when I start trying them so many employees enter the bathroom and also the security guy asking me to leave the bathroom and treating me like a was stealing something he took me to the from without listening to me that I ask permission and told me to abandon the store I feel so ashamed for real this never happen to me ever and the worst part was that they don’t speak English properly so they can barely understand what I was saying , this is the worst day ever they make me feel so bad and specially didn’t listen to me went I was explaining about the girl that give me green line to try tha jeans

Great place to find anything! Also right next to a Dollar Zone. And the right around the corner from the Garden Gourmet and Stop & Shop. Great location!!

I'm a regular, I love to come here for the retro merch. However, some. of these workers at the checkout need an additude adjustment. It's a self checkout for a reason, of you feel customers are going to steal while at the checkout then implement cashier's. I don't need anyone breathing down my neck like I'm about to commit a crime. This type of ridiculous bias behavior shouldn't be allowed, especially at a THRIFT store.

seemed expensive for a thrift store. some basic graphic t’s i got were average $5. the non clothing aisles are v disorganized and can be hard to sort through. was really annoyed that this super cute vase i found couldn’t be sold because it didn’t have a tag. enjoyed the dishes section- found some nice baking dishes & cake stand. overall, okay spot- def better options out there!

Stay away from this place ! It’s the Rikers Island of thrift stores. They designate employees to stand behind you while you use the self check out yourself to make sure you’re not stealing the stuff they receive for free . It makes no sense. Why doesn’t the employee just scan the merchandise ? They’re the ones getting paid . I don’t work there .They do ! They sell counterfeit bags and shoes for thousands of dollars in the showcase, which is illegal. This place is for profit. They’re not giving anything to charity. It’s all going into their greedy pockets. Everything is way overpriced worse than a regular store. If you think you’re helping by donating to this place, you’re not you’re only making them richer. They need to be investigated and put on the news so people become more aware of what’s going on here . You are treated like a dog as soon as you walk in the door they act like you’re going to steal something. They’re more concerned with that than customer service. The employees look miserable like they’re being controlled something’s going on here and it’s not right.I’ve seen nothing but bad reviews and the few good ones I’m sure have been made by people they know because it’s a miserable atmosphere . You shouldn’t be afraid to shop somewhere. If you complain, they will bully you and disrespect you or ban you from the store. I’ve never seen anything like this in my entire life in the United States. They are violating many human and consumer rights ! There needs to be a class action lawsuit against this company !!!!!

Get there early for the best items! I've found authentic Chloe and Prada bags here, and many really nice jackets, sweaters and household items. Visit during the week, if you can. It's a madhouse on weekends! Plus the better tag sales seem to be during the week. Prices can be steep on some items, but prices are mostly reasonable. If you love thrifting, you'll have fun here. Enjoy!

This is the place to visit if you like to be treated like garbage . They follow you around and watch you like you’re going to steal something.
They will also change the price at the register and take the item out of your hand if they think it’s priced too low which is illegal . (Price Switching)
The Manager told me tonight if “I don’t like it I don’t have to shop there.”
I’m filing a formal complaint with the state and going public as I have over 83 million views here on Google Maps and Millions in monthly engagement across all of my social media platforms from being on television, this needs to be exposed !!
What they’re doing to people is wrong. They do not care about their customers spending their hard earned money at all ! It’s pure greed !
It’s traumatizing coming here and being treated like a criminal.
Twice I have been violated at the register this week and most of the workers don’t speak English so it’s frustrating trying to get any help , they literally stand at the register and watch you like a hawk right on your back ,It’s so weird .
It’s like a prison environment. It’s 2 miles from my house , this the only reason I’ve been going there as long as I have ,but tonight was a complete violation by the manager who has no respect for women .
I have spent over $500 this week alone there and have found some great things, but I don’t like supporting businesses who have no respect for their customers.
They also sell counterfeit items for rediculous prices .
I was told by someone else who has been treated poorly there ,that if I complained, I would be banned from the store and charged with trespassing which is a violation of my consumer rights.
The workers look afraid and uncomfortable. Bad vibes all the way around!!
They have even turned off their comments on Instagram, which tells you it’s shady. I’m going to speak with my lawyer on Monday and find out more about this company. I’m sure I’m not the only one who has had issues.Nov 29, 2025 -
everytime i am here someone at the register has a problem of the tags, no tags, they treat the people rude they don’t give good explanations majority of the workers do not speak english and there’s some sort of higherarchy in this store you would think it’s macys yet it’s a store of used donated for free items and the people do NOT care about You at all and some items are priced way too high especially ethnic items like african statues. i like their items but i wish they were nicer to the people, and that they priced clothes better. most bric and brac especially on sale is affordable especially if tagged. best thing to do is shop 75% off and 50% of all store days
Nov 29, 2025 -
Very expensive for used clothing, blankets, and purses. It should be much cheaper. Well, organized store and quick self check out with accurate scanning for what colors are on sale. I visited again this past weekend and the store looked amazingly organized like a department store. Still overpriced. These are donated items please make them affordable for struggling families.
Nov 24, 2025 -
Only gave it 4 stars bc it gets so so busy- but they have a bag check and they change the sale colors twice a wee which is really nice! Have found reasonably priced items and some that are way over what they should be- however- those items usually go to sale which is great

This store is very pricy for what it is.
I liked a fall shawl, it was new, very dusty and with that typical smell of something have being saved for long time. The original tag said $20. The thrift store tag said $25
Same with other items, there were some slip ins Skechers priced $60. I search online and same shoes at the Skechers store were $44.97
Its a lot more worthy to go to the Bushwick-Green point area where there are lots of thrift store and prices are a lot better with better brands and better conditions. People here doen t know the price of the items they are selling.Nov 23, 2025 -
Used clothing.
Some clothing still has tags.
Men's women's children's clothing shoes used
Books, electronics, dishes, costume, jewelry, a little bit of everything. Depending on the tag there are discounts. They have parking.Nov 13, 2025 -
It's rare for me to leave a review but I really wanted to spread awareness about this place. IT IS NOT NORMAL FOR A THRIFT STORE TO BE THIS EXPENSIVE. I've been to every MyUnique Thrift from New Jersey to Queens and this is the most overpriced store for some reason. I saw a purse that was new with tags and it was tagged $12.99 and this place put their price tag at $20.99. THATS A ROBBERY. People are donating to this store for free and this place is taking advantage. Please donate elsewhere. DO NOT SHOP HERE. Thrift stores were created for the lower income and now that it's "trendy" these stores think it's okay to overcharge people that are trying to find clothes for a cheaper price.

RIDICULOUSLY high prices. I guess you need the app to know when to catch 50 and 75% off. But let’s be for real. Go and see for yourself how HIGH these prices are. Burlington and Macys are cheaper at this point, at least you get new unworn cloths for cheaper. I don’t mind buying used cloths but the prices are outrageous.

I love this thrift store for what it has to offer . A bit pricey but sometimes worth it . Cons of this place is, they sell anything literal underwear and fast food take out cups. Employees will follow you around making you feel guilty even though you’re not. And if an item you have doesn’t have a tag on it cause maybe someone ripped it out , don’t even think they’ll let you buy it because they won’t, they will think you ripped it and they won’t let you buy something without a tag . And the staples on clothes and other stuff is so annoying because they damage clothes ripping holes in them. They also don’t accept credit cards only cash or debit :/

This was my first visit to this store, but I am regular at the Jamaica location. First up, the carpet tiles throughout the entire store make it incredibly difficult to use the provided baskets and carts. They drag horribly and tip up extremely easily which makes for a very unpleasant shopping/browsing experience. Coupled with the very narrow aisles, you are constantly either hitting someone or being hit with a cart when it's busy. It also makes this store an accessibility nightmare.
The prices here are also significantly higher than the Queens location. Many items were full retail price (ie. what they cost new) which defeats the object of it being a thrift store. There were also sections missing, or at least I couldn't find them, when compared to the queens location. No silk scarves, artwork (separate from frames) etc, and overall the layout was pretty confusing. I don't think I would make the long trip out here again in a hurry.Sep 28, 2025 -
The times I have been to the store the staff have been friendly and helpful. You can find just about anything. Most of the stuff are in excellent condition, and others are atrocious.

Thankfully, this place, this hidden gem out in the open, is a short walk from where I live. This is a huge thriftshop and always is teeming with people looking for great bargains - and finding them.
The staff is very helpful and bi-lingual (English/Spanish) which is an asset on so many levels. When you walk in you encounter the check out registers and it looks daunting. Do not worry, the staff helps you along and the line moves quickly.
I will not divulge why I visit there for fear it might catch on and the gems I find might get found before me. Sorry, not sorry. Overall, come looking and you will be happy with the treasures you find.
Here's a 'mark your calendar' tidbit, something I learned by chance on the 4th of July this past summer. EVERYTHING is 50% off. I mean everything. It was a controlled madhouse and I'm sure so many people loaded up. I saw so many people at the registers with baskets overflowing with their finds. I managed to load up and my hidden gems.
Check it out. They have great hours, and a great staff!Sep 07, 2025 -
Very abusive in terms of prices. Thrift stores are supposed to be second hand and affordable for lower income communities. Especially this one because it’s in the Bronx. Shame that they take advantage of clothes they are probably donated. It’s absurd to find very obviously used items such as shoes for $40. Corporate greed at its finest. I’ve been a supporter for years. Way back when you guys were close to being shut down. These are retails prices and NOT for retail quality! I’ve found multiple pairs of jeans that are stained. (Priced at $15 and upward). One pair seemed to have blood or what seemed to be feces in the crotch area. Bags will be falling apart and still be priced for $15-$20! Most people shop here out of NECESSITY and not for PLEASURE. Staff is also very rude. And accusatory even. Once my parents were standing close to the exit waiting for me and they were being accused of stealing. I wouldn’t be surprised if this chain was to face a lawsuit soon! I’ve also had my bags checked multiple times when leaving. It seems to be discriminatory as I’ve never seen the white people that shop here being stopped. I will be returning with pictures.

I am writing this review to warn others to avoid this store at all costs. My son, who has ADHD, autism, and experiences anxiety, was treated in a way that was nothing short of cruel and disrespectful.
My son was with his Com Hab worker—a trained mentor who supports him and helps calm him when he gets anxious. During our visit, my son peeled price stickers and opened some items impulsively, which we acknowledge was not appropriate.
Instead of handling the situation with understanding, a store employee—who was not in uniform and did not identify himself—grabbed my son’s arm roughly without consent and spoke to him in a harsh and hurtful manner. They also wrongly accused his Com Hab worker of wrongdoing. After realizing their mistake, they offered a shallow apology—but only for accusing the Com Hab worker, not for how they physically and verbally mistreated my son.
The trauma from this incident left my son deeply shaken and anxious. On the drive home, while practicing driving with his license and despite having his Com Hab worker with him for support, he was so distracted that he hit the curb, damaging the vehicle. We have dashcam footage proving how distressed he was.
This store’s complete lack of proper staff training and compassion puts vulnerable customers at risk. Their failure to properly apologize or take responsibility for their mistreatment only added to our pain.
Please do NOT support this store. If you have loved ones with disabilities or anyone who deserves respect and kindness, steer clear. We are considering boycotting this place until real changes are made. Many other people had similar if not worse expirence with this store. Please share this storyJul 10, 2025 -
If anyone these days reviewing says the prices are reasonable or cheap, are LYING to you! The prices are RIDICULOUSLY outrageous!!! I can get better, and new items on sale or clearance at major retail, dept or other known chain or even discount stores for the same prices or less depending where I may look and shop at. Dresses average around $20 or more depending, while other types of clothing is averaged around $10 to $15 give or take one or a couple of dollars. Knickknacks the same way, a little overpriced than what I would expect to find for a thrift store (example: one simple drinking glass cup would cost about $5 or a bit more depending. I do go once in awhile to see what new I may and can find and have come out with two items so far cause of their HIGH prices for a thrift store that gets their items donated to them for free. The only plus is that I've had no problems so far with the workers, managers and others, as they don't bother or harass me in anyway. The workers just let me go about my business looking around, and maybe if I find something go to the register to pay for the item. Also a nice selection of clothes mainly dresses (thoroughly look and be careful of sporadic few or so ones that maybe damaged or stained). I would recommend shopping somewhere else that are better in their prices.

0/5.. Everything is over priced! Including the counterfeit items. They had a pair of counterfeit jordans for $400. They had a counterfeit Supreme sweatshirt for $50. They had a $5 t shirt from 5 Below for $20. All these items were used and dirty. The staff are rude and they breathe down your neck at check out, completely defeating the purpose of self check out. Every time I've been there i saw someone being accused of stealing. One time they accused me of switching a tag on a pair of shoes that weren't even worth the asking price. I only grabbed them because the tag color was at 75% off. And then there's the security guy, who yells and curses at people who are accused of stealing these used items that they got for free. I have stopped donating to this "thrift store", and I encourage you all to do the same.
In the pictures I provided, you will see a pair of counterfeit air jordans for over $3000. A $5 t shirt from five Below for $20 (i know its from 5 below because I have the same shirt). A used t shirt for $75. And 2 counterfeit Supreme sweatshirts, one at $40 and the other at $50... The audacity!Jul 04, 2025 -
Used to be fun to find things but now incredibly overpriced! They do not tag items appropriately causing damage by stapling everything. You wont catch a sale as the color tags will never be whats being offered on discount! You will have a pink tag item and its orange, blue and green on sale and vice versa! MyUnique needs to do better

I’ve been coming here for years!!! And for the last month or so the prices have gone sky high!!! Almost $44 for new pants or $40 for shoes?!!!! DO NOT DONATE TO THEM! They sell brand names in the front or hundred of dollars just ridiculous when these were donated! Here are some pictures the pens are originally from the dollar store by the way !

Here is my mom's terrible experience with this store's manager.
(In her Words)
I've been shopping in this thrift store for over 10 years with no real problems. I met nice people and bought some amazing things. However, on January 1, 2025, my rolling bag was given to another shopper in error because the employee responsible for the checked bags failed to verify the number on the claim check ticket stub. Store management said they would look into the situation and review the camera footage. I gave them a week and returned today, January 8, 2025, to seek a resolution. My bag had not been returned and the store manager did not want to adequately compensate me for my loss. I told him I would pursue the matter in small claims court. He became condescending and belligerent and told me he would give me $80 dollars and that I was banned from the store. Needless to I was shocked and horrified. Banned from one of my favorite stores because my property was mismanaged. This manager is arrogant and rude and lacks professionalism. I left the store with my $80 and will never return again!Jan 09, 2025 -
Today, my girlfriend and I decided to visit this shop we used to frequent years ago and had a vehemently racist experience. For reference I am white and my girlfriend is black. As I was checking out one of the associates was gently watching me while holding one of the behind the counter items until I checked out. There were a bunch of associates around me but no one was being aggressive. Once my girlfriend began checking out one of the associates made a B line for the till she was using and stood at most six inches behind her at some points. After 10 or so items when she expressed she was uncomfortable I asked the associate why she was staring at us and she acted completely oblivious/ like she didn’t understand us but was completely competent when telling us to scan all of her items. We are appalled with our experience today and demand this issue be resolved for ourselves and others. Do better!

You want it, it’s probably here in some form. Most prices are reasonable or cheap.
It’s a true New York experience with no-nonsense hustle bustle.
The best thing is dropping off all my unwanted items at the back donation door.Mar 17, 2024 -
Prices aren’t great overall, no change rooms, somewhat dirty/messy. But they have a 25-50-75% color tag discount system so you can get good deals. And public holidays are 50% off everything (except Juneteenth oddly). Check items carefully before buying as there may be stains/flaws.
Jul 05, 2023 -
I like this store for picking up cheap basics. You can find lightly used tanks and camis, something many thrift stores don’t carry. On certain days and holidays the store does 50% discount on all merchandise, which is when it becomes a really great (if crowded) value. They have a large selection of both men’s and women’s clothing, usually mid price brands with items priced under $10. Quality can range from completely unused to substantially damaged, so you should carefully check what you’re buying.
