My husband and I first visited Rick's store in 2022 to inquire about a new furnace for a mobile home we were purchasing in El Cerro Misson. Rick informed us they no longer serviced the area due to "safety concerns", but refused to explain what that meant exactly, even when we explained we were in the process of a purchase and would appreciate any honest feedback he could give us.
Two years later (we've had no incidents in our neighborhood and feel quite safe here) we are looking to replace our water heater, and decided to call Rick again. While he agreed to come out this time, he required full payment upfront for parts, labor, and installation before any work was done. This was an unusual request, so my husband emailed him seeking clarification but received no response. When my husband and Rick spoke on the phone this morning, he attempted to tell him that we agree to pay for the furnace and all materials upfront, but that we'd prefer to pay for labor after the job was completed. Rick interrupted, spoke over my husband, and said “Let me just stop you right there, this is a policy I put in my place awhile ago and I’m not going to change it.”
Rick's was one of three quotes we've received for this project and we are deciding to pay over $800 more than Rick's quote simply because we have been taken aback by his lack of professionalism, rudeness, and the unorthodox payment requirements.
10/10 would not recommend due to shady business practices, rudeness and disrespect.

I highly recommend this store not only because the parts they have for mobile homes are hard to come by but also the staff is extremely helpful and will go out of thier way to help you get what you need.
