awesome unique little shop. dave the owner is very nice. lots of great music collection, art, ceramics, jewelry, rocks.... much of the "junk" is made by local artists, historical & current. it's a little crowded but take your time & move mindfully, it's a worthwhile stop for one of a kind souvenirs while supporting local businesses and artists. there are many treasures to find!
Cool shop and friendly owner but everything is overpriced and covered in a thick layer of dust. Not ideal for someone with allergies, my eyes itched and burned the entire time until we left. Some of the records are listed as “rare” but are also found in the “regular” section, so check the racks thoroughly before you buy. Lots of empty sleeves and severely damaged records. Didn’t look at much else as it didn’t seem worth my time. Cool shop that could use some TLC.
Places like Junkology and people like Dave, the owner, are becoming increasingly rare in my experience of traveling across this country. This shop is full of art by local artists (both current and historic), antiques, collectibles, local gems, curiosities, hand-made items, vintage Americana, an excellent record collection, and some crazy junk!
The place is , sight to behold and an experience not to be missed, whether you are staying in TorC or just passing through.
However, the best part about Junkology is Dave. He is a warm, genuine, witty, and engaging guy. He has amazing stories to tell, decades of experience as a "junkologist", and a devoted and well-loved resident of TorC.
There are many of us who set out on the open road searching for what remains of unique small businesses that reflect the specific character and culture of their town and authentic, quality human beings who are interested and interesting - people who care about what they do, who they are, their town, and their customers, old and new.
I could not love this place any more than I do! This magical moment in time is literally WHY I travel. Thanks, Dave!
Owner was awesome! Picked me up a Polaroid 450. Said it was sitting for a while, and helped me close it. (It was jammed open) whole bunch of old phones, cameras, rocks, records, a small little boombox. Next time we’re in nm, I’m coming here! Also has some nice cars/trucks outfront for sale! Thanks junkology!
Rude owner, told me to put something down cause apparently "its obvious" I'm not gonna buy anything and it was an expensive flute after I picked up an examined a cheaper flute (price tag $150, way too high for the condition it was in) right before picking up the next case.
Well, with that attitude, I won't consider buying something from here.

I had a fantastic experience at Junkology. Dave was incredibly friendly and I truly appreciate the attention to detail and the warm atmosphere. I recommend it to anyone looking for a place to wonder around and take a trip down memory lane. We left with a smile on our faces.
The name is perfect! Lots of junk. Might be some hidden treasure. Worth a quick look if you are driving by. I wouldn’t make a special trip. But who knows one man’s junk is another man’s treasure !
The shop is pretty cool and wish I could’ve spent time and found something but you have to make choices when you’re on a road trip with a toddler and baby. But the owner was super nice and sold us some string (rainbow too) for the price of a high five so my toddler could pull his boat along the nearby pond.
You would think a place named “Junkology” would have some fairly decent prices for what they sell… I mean they have the word “junk” in their business name. So it baffles me everything in this cobweb filled store is so overpriced. From used bongs, cobwebbed lamps and used guitars I don’t think I saw a decent price for any of this stuff. Walking around you have to be careful to not step on any of the clutter. I get it, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. But you’re not selling treasure! It’s called Junkology for a reason so I don’t get why a store filled with cobwebs would sell used items so pricey.

Fantastic store a hidden gem in a small sleepy town of T or C . Met the owner, Dave, struck up a conversation and immediately bought some stuff ( I didn't know I needed ) lol
Amazing place with amazing owners! The atmosphere here is so genuine. A place for those looking for unique retro, fossil, and hand made items! Definitely a must stop in Truth or Consequences!

Very cute little "junk" shop! So much personality, in the shop and the staff! A touch of everything, with a huge dose of nostalgia. Be sure to ask about his custom guitars!
Avoid at all costs! Overheard employee (owner?) Say "I don't want to sell that" multiple times. Outrageously overpriced junk, many items selling for more than new (contemporary available). Junk (bad kind) and food items strewn about.
Last month, my husband and I visited Truth or Consequences, NM for our anniversary. We had recently seen a YouTube video where the vlogger visited Junkology and had a memorable encounter with the owner, Dave. We were so intrigued that we stopped by when we arrived in T or C. Dave was there and we told him the story and he immediately remembered the vlogger. He chatted with everyone in such a comfortable and organic way, that the experience was as much the super cool shop as it was its owner. He's a storyteller and shared some great memories tied to some of the items in his shop. There were treasures in every nook and cranny of his store, and in the conversations we had while there. We walked away with smiles on our faces and a piece of art for our home. It's definitely worth a visit!

Such an amazing little shop! From a large selection of records, jewelry, knives, hats, pottery, rocks…literally a little of everything! But the reason I go back is the owner Dave! Such a nice man happy to help and let you browse forever!! I love T or C and this shop was one of my first stops in town! Bought a necklace, a record player and a camper??❤️ recommended for a fun stop in a great town!!!

Tons of interesting artifacts and curiosities. Just the kind of junk shop you hope to find in a place like T or C. The owner has a million weird stories and every inch of the place is a mystery.
