I came out here to dispose of a microwave that I melted with my air fryer. (Don't ask.) I didn't have to pay to dispose of it since it was considered recycling. The price was right!
The lady working at the entrance booth was helpful and told me where to drop off the microwave.
I'd called ahead to find out their days and hours of operation. The person who answered the phone was helpful too.
They close early. I think it is against the law. This area had the same situation years ago when the MVD would close early so the workers could handle personal business on government time.
No more recycling of glass, plastic or mixed paper. Only items allowed now are tin and aluminum cans, corrugated cardboard and bagged, shredded paper. And no more trailers for drop offs around town. WHY THE CHANGE???
Since inheriting a home that has needed alot of work I have saved money coming here with a small trailer and a truck to haul. If I recycle I pay less. And the most I have spent in a visit was $20 some... The value to that verses the costs in other counties is amazing. If you need help to back in your trailer they will help. They are kind and helpful people.
Expensive, on some items when 9/10 of it goes same place.in Arizona they charge $10 truck or trailer load. They changed us over $60 just toss old carpet and pads .when it was dumped in same place as household trash ...
The recycle center is well organized, kept clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. Although I look forward to the day we are issued a recycle can and curbside service, for now at least we have a recycle option. Keep up the good work WC&RDY. Have a great day.
