Customer service is rude and disrespectful and refuses to help a paying costumer when they are in need. They are overpriced and don’t always pick up trash. They come at random times on pick up day. Wouldn’t replace a cracked garbage bin that almost pinched my sons finger because they kept claiming that they had already replaced it. They are impossible to try and work with, and will gaslight the customer. Luckily there is another garbage service provider that just started up and we switched to them.

Southwest Disposal was horrible to deal with. I was getting billed for 2 accounts to my address for 1 pick up. I ended my service, they picked up the can and still continued to bill me. Customer service was horrible and unhelpful. The customer service representative said “It’s not our fault it’s your responsibility” when I asked why I got billed for 2 accounts on the same address for 1 can. Not the way to do business or treat customers. Lost me as a client! Found a different trash company for cheaper.

This company regularly drives me nuts. Today the driver did not pick up our trash, once again. If there is any possible reason to not pick up our trash, they take it. If you call the company to report they are entirely unhelpful. We are going to change services.

They don’t pick up our trash about a third of the time. The people driving the truck get paid the same regardless of how long it takes them to complete their route. So they just rush through houses at breakneck speed to have the rest of the day off. They will drive off even if you are out there trying to move the trash so it is easier for them to pick up. We pay a huge rate for this service and they will find any excuse not to do their job. Slow down and do the job you are paid to do. JUST PICK UP THE TRASH!

The waste collector at Southwest Disposal is very unprofessional. Almost weekly the way he picks up the bin allows trash to fall into the street and we are constantly having to pick up the scattered garbage. The issue has been ongoing with the previous tenants and the office staff at Southwest Disposal fail to hold anyone accountable.

Our driver is always on time and always puts everything back just the way it was. I mean to s point i have to go look inside to see if it was picked up. Lol yall are great. Thank you for everything.

Southwest consistently misses pickups, forcing me to wait another week with a full bin of rotting trash. I've had to haul their container out to the landfill and dispose of the trash myself more times than I care to count. As for the recycling bin, I've watched them (on my security cameras) several times empty it along with the regular trash bin into the same garbage truck! What's the point of sorting out recycling when they combine it with general waste anyway? So now, I regularly drive my recycling out the city recycling drop-off because they can't be trusted with it. The company is unreliable, unprofessional, and completely untrustworthy!

Horrible customer service. Agreed on one amount than they ran my card for twice that amount. This is the 2nd time they have done this and the operator was very rude both times. I believe her name was Gabriella? Not sure where she got her customer service training but she should seek a new profession. I would look for another company before using them...

I paid for their services, and they overcharged my account last year. Didn't want to deal with them. 6 months later, they charged my account. I called them asking why, and they said I still have their container when they picked it up last year. Still waiting for a call back, and now I am short on my mortgage payment.

My driver does so good, he’s always on time and doesn’t drive like a crazy driver and he is careful with my cans. He always makes sure the cans are completely empty. If they have fallen over he will stand them up and clean up the spilled trash. So he can pick them up to dump them. The wind is very bad here

Paid my current bill and past due bill all at once a week ago. Balance was 0. The company came and collected both cans and wanted a month in advance and redelivery fee. I understand we were past due, but the balance was paid to 0 before they collected it. The water company doesn't come turn you off after you have paid your bill?! Neither does power?! I called because I'm sure they had just got forgot to take the account of collectiondls, but the rep agreed we didn't have an outstanding balance. He passed me to a female rep, who wouldn't let me speak, was incredibly rude and condescending and didn't listen to the issue. She just kept repeating herself over me and refusing to understand what was going on. We ended up having to pay for redelivery and a month in advance on a 0 balance bill. She refused to help or listen. She was more concerned about " taking control of the call" instead of understanding that they may have made a mistake and accepting accountability for it.

SW Disposal is our only garbage pickup option in Dona Ana County - it is a necessity and the monthly fee just keeps increasing with no explanation as to why. We don’t even produce a lot of trash and don’t put our bin out every week. I’ve called and emailed the company and got no replies to my emails and was told by the agent on the phone they had no idea why the fee kept increasing and there was no one I could talk to about it, just email. So how high is monthly garbage pick up going to go??? It’s almost $25 a month now, a $10 increase from where it started just 5 years ago. These unchecked increases for necessities are ridiculous. There has to be a less costly and accountable way to deal with trash pickup and disposal.

Called today 3-11-25 at 1045a.m. Spoke with Antoinette about our disposal pickup. Our dumpster is scheduled for disposal pickup on Mondays. NO SHOW, NO CALL, NO CONTACT From Southwest Disposal. Antoinette stated that our scheduled date had changed to Tuesdays. I asked to speak to a manager and Antoinette stated she was the supervisor. I asked if they could please contact customers ahead of time to have dumster accessible. Antoinette immediately stated that they would take that into consideration and to have a nice day! No customer service, explanation, or apology. HORRIBLE SERVICE!

People always complain but I have had nothing but great service. Customer service is always understanding and helpful. I’ve never had bad service. The drivers are incredible. This is the best trash company out there. I don’t know why people complain so much about this company when their work is impeccable, people are just leaving bad reviews because they have nothing better to do.

So far, the waste disposal service is fine. We had some issues early on with missed pickups. The issue is with recycling, do NOT recycle with this company. We hadn't had a successful recycling pickup in like 3 months, we call and they tell us it's our fault because we weren't breaking down the cardboard properly. We broke it down to their instructions and waited for one more pickup, and they still only emptied about half of the bin. We called to cancel, and request credit for the last few months, which they refused to grant. Will be looking for another disposal company entirely ASAP.

Just spoke with a 'supervisor' named Antoinette or something about a missed trash pick-up on my scheduled day. My recycle and trash bins were put out at the same time but the trash wasn't emptied. I called that afternoon and was told by the first line of defense that my container was too close to a wall and the driver wouldn't pick it up. However, the recycle bin, next to the trash, was emptied. The employee said she'd talk to a 'supervisor' and came back on line to tell me a truck would be sent the next day. This is the next day and no trash pick-up. This supervisor, Antoinette, started arguing with me that the trash bin wasn't out with the recycle bin. I repeated what was told me that wasn't the reason given for the missed service. Every time I tried to talk, this 'supervisor' would interrupt and talk over me, not allowing me to complete a sentence. She left me on hold for several minutes and came back saying another 'supervisor' said they would make a pick-up today. When I asked for an explanation about the confusing messages, she again interrupted and talked over me. When I said I would talk to her supervisor, she said "have a nice day" and hung up. This customer service is terrible.

The worst company i've ever experienced. I've fire them twice for missed pickups and billing issues and they keep buying out the other options. All the CS agents have no issues arguing and getting irate with you. They will call you a liar on missed pickups. They will call and harass you for a late payment even when they have not given you access to an account. Please someone else start a company, plenty of people would love to switch. For now I will just take my own trash to the dump.

This company has THE MOST UNDERSTANDING STAFF you could EVER encounter!!! Not only do they give GREAT service for your disposing needs, they give GREAT customer service!! The office staff is so much more Friendly, Nice, and Understanding than most establishments I've dealt with when it comes to getting help with your account or needing an extension, just talk to them and they'll see what they can do to help with your situation, communication is key, just want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH SOUTHWEST DISPOSAL!!!

Unprofessional and greedy company! They bought Trust Waste and still were charging us prices for trash and recycling but they do not offer recycling. So they were taking in more money for services they do not provide! They have a 1-star rating on BBB if I’m not mistaken. I would do research on other companies and pay the smaller company. They even took our trash can from our property even though we purchased it through Trust Waste initially….when we told them we had bought it through Trust Waste they needed a receipt that would be 3 years old for a trash bin…..DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR TRASH DISPOSAL IF YOU CAN AVOID IT!!

I left Southwest Disposal to go to Trust Waste because of issues with billing and pickups. Trust Waste then sold out to Southwest. I've been trying to figure out how to even pay Southwest for the last 3 weeks since notice of them taking over Trust Waste. They just sent me a bill 3 days ago, and called me today to harass me to pay the bill immediately because of a past due balance to Trust. THERE WAS NO WAY TO PAY ANYONE. I just got a bill for 2 months worth of service from Southwest and a harassment call to pay my bill because after 3 days it's late. This is not my fault or my choice. Don't harass your newly purchased customers because we HAVE BEEN TRYING TO PAY OUR BILLS. Unbelievable.

The community doesn't complain enough for change to happen, but that's b.s. We were out of town for emergency so we weren't able to put the cans out, I called beforehand letting them know the lid won't be closed this week because of it. They told me the lid has to be closed or they'll skip us. So basically a cycle of holding on to more garbage because the damn lid won't close. It's in the can but because of the lid. Whoever thought up this ridiculous policy must live a lonely life to have such a ridiculous rule. We pay for these services but these companies love being controlling. It's garbage! Take it! The city needs change again already, B.S

Southwest Disposal is a company that offers trash disposal services EXCEPT they don't provide it! We had Mesilla Valley Disposal, which was great; they were polite and actually picked up my trash regularly. Then Southwest Disposal bought out Mesilla Valley and then the drama and NONSERVICE began. Initially, everything was ok. Then, we noticed they missed our trash once, so we'd call but we were told they'd come back another day that week. Fine. This became more and more frequent to the point 3 weeks passed and they hadn't picked up our trash. No matter how many times we called we'd get excuses or they'd deny that they missed us, yet our trash was still in the bin. After a few phone calls we turned to emailing so we had proof. We finally emailed to cancel "service", which we never really had. The manager replied and told us she cancelled it, yet ironically they started picking up our trash. We emailed them that their truck was still picking up our trash, yet the "manager" (I use that lightly) denied that they were still picking up our trash. Then, we received a bill that we owed money, which is laughable because they OWE US 3 WEEKS OF NO SERVICE. We replied with the date we cancelled service and the "manager" tried to spin it to their benefit. In a nutshell, the only thing that this company offers is a bill, NOT a service. If you are just looking to throw away money, then give to a charity.

I’ve been with this outfit for 20 years. Service has become worse and worse. I like to pay for 3 months at a time. No matter how many times I call to get the rate, a week later they will always send another bill, which never makes sense. They often miss pickups, and they are never consistent on the time, but I’m supposed to have it on the street at 5 AM. Most recently, the wind blew over my recycle can. They passed it up. I called, and they had to check their camera to make sure I was telling the truth. They confirmed that the can was on its side. They said the driver cannot get out of the truck to set it aright due to “liability.” Sounds like lazy to me. They said they would send out a pick up as a courtesy, but if it happens again they’ll charge me $30 for an unscheduled pickup. I’m done!

The incompetence in that office runs rampant. I haven't had an account with this company for over two years, yet I got billed. This has happened twice already. When I called the office to discuss it, I got talked at, not talked to. Completely rude staff. Then I call back and get put on hold. Then I call back and no answer. Then answer and put on hold again. It's ridiculous!

We have been their customer for years. We have used roll offs for big projects a couple of times over the years and the pricing and service has been excellent. The young lady named Antenette is always very professional and helpful. The pick up service always picks up bright and early on trash day too.

I've been a customer since 2008. Haven't had any issues until the last couple years. Prices increase every year, even if gas prices are low. Trash pickup is often missed, sometimes the whole neighborhood, sometimes just mine. I call to complain but rarely can get ahold of anyone. I leave messages, but no call returns. Price just went up $3, even though service quality is declining. Considering switching to Mesilla Valley like many in my neighborhood have. *UPDATE* Trash was not picked up this week. I called & they claimed a route change. They said notices went out that trash had to be out by 5am. Received no notification. More than two dozen other cans are still out in our subdivision. Obviously word didnt get out. Trucks have NEVER been out before noon since 2008. Cathy refused to send out a truck. I'm switching services. See photos. Notifications huh? Perhaps they should have used carrier pigeon or telegraph as well.

Worst people ever! The driver spends more time telling you why he won't pick up trash than picking up trash. Trust me use someone else unless you desire a "trashmsn" with a God complex.
