Steve is a master at repairing and servicing Saabs. If you’re an owner of this classic now defunct brand then def bring your precious car here. Knowledgeable professional and no nonsense along with reasonable rates. You can’t go wrong!
I went there to get an estimate for repairs to my vehicle and no estimates were given. Mechanic says he doesn't want to be held to a written estimate in case the work costs more. Other places have clauses written into their estimates for that. Hence the word "ESTIMATE" as opposed to invoice. I told him what work I knew the car needed and was pessimistic about being able to perform it. Then I presented a different car which is a Saab. He seems to be a former Saab mechanic having a few early and late model SAABs on the lot. Again very pessimistic. Citing the age of the car as an antique and parts are hard to find, etc. Owning the car that I have for years I don't need to be told things I already know too well. If I'm offering to give him two cars to repair I'm expecting to leave a big chunk of coinage. All I got was excuses like "the spark plugs may break trying to remove them" and who's been servicing the car all this time? Take it back to them. I'm going to have BOTH of my cars fixed because it has to be done. Warren Auto will not be the one place I'm taking them to. Sorry Steve, you just didn't seem like you wanted the business. Too bad. All I could think about for my SAAB for a long time was giving her to a SAAB pro for some TLC that I would gladly pay for getting my baby back on the road.
Steve is an eminently well- qualified mechanic, especially for Saab, but anything really. He is honest, dies the work himself and charges fairly for his time and expertise.
I used Warren Auto for my state inspection. I called from home to determine their availability and was seen within 15 minutes. Stephen was friendly and worked quickly!
I called this shop because I've driven past it multiple times and noticed the abundance of Saabs on site. I had a problem with the front end of my 2000 Saab 9-3 and haven't been able to figure it out, so I thought this shop might be worth a try. Being a part of the Saab scene for decades, I expected a friendly voice. The person I spoke to on the phone was incredibly difficult and unfriendly. When I asked if he specialized in Saabs he replied in a manner that sounded like he doesn't even like them and was not interested in working on them, saying there aren't many left, and my car is "old". When I told him how many miles were on it, he said, "we'll have fun with that", which is just what you want to hear from a mechanic.
All Saabs are old because they haven't been made since 2011, but if well maintained they'll run and drive for a long, long time. My car has 156k miles on it, which is quite low in Saab terms, especially considering the age of the car, and it has been very well maintained. Some of the cars he has on site are older than mine. Apparently this guy does not want new business. It's really bizarre. Avoid this shop.
Reliable quality and care. We have been getting our inspections, maitenence and repairs done here for years now. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Stephen is very skilled and truly fair.
Steve is an incredible mechanic and all around great guy. My family has been getting our vehicles serviced here for year. Steve is hard working and always fair.
Brought car to check. The technician is not careful at all. Cause a lot scratch on car body and damaged other parts that were OK before I brough car in.
I brought my cars to this shop for years. Brothers Steve and Gary own the place. They are absolute top-notch mechanics, and they're kind and reasonable businessmen, too. They are a pleasure to deal with, and I was very safe in their care.
I don't patronize them because I no longer live or work in a location convenient to their shop. I recommend the shop highly. If you go there, please mention my name and say hello for me.
