CHECK PARTS PRICING!!!! THEY WILL CHARGE ALMOST DOUBLE OVER LISTED PRICES!!!! Beware I have gone to this shop for many years and decided to check some parts prices on a repair estimate I received. THIS PLACE WILL RIP YOU OFF. I can go to Napa and buy the parts needed for a total of $892.96, the price for the exact same parts from Napa from VTA performance will cost $1,531 plus labor, when asked about the pricing I was laughed at by Tom one of the owners and said no one ever asks. The response was we are a Napa auto care center and you get a 2 year 24 month warranty, so you have to pay almost double the cost of the part to get the warranty???? Pricing from VTA in pictures as well as Listed prices from Napa website, and Napa is already the most expensive. I have our call recorded as well.
John and Tom are very mindful and responsible in the service they provide. I have a 1970 corvette, and they are pretty much the only shop around to trust working on my vehicle.

I recently purchased a 79 Corvette and wanted to do a few upgrades. I figured I’d stop at VTA and check out the shop. I found Tom and John to be very knowledgeable about Corvettes and the direction I wanted to go. They took the time to answer all my questions and discuss options explaining in detail what work would be done. They were prompt in scheduling and getting my car in to completing the work. They also seemed to take good care of it while it was there. This is a small shop much different than the usual service stations. I highly recommend VTA, stop by and talk to them and you’ll see why.
VTA is simply the best shop for any of your car repair needs. John and Tom are very knowledgeable and honest. I have been getting my GTI fully serviced there for years and will never go anywhere else. They take the time to explain things to you and do great work for a fair price. I can’t recommend VTA enough!

Love VTA, they worked on my Jeep and my daughters Elantra. Highly professional and knowledgeable. Do great work and when work is not needed they are honest about it and tell you. Unheard of from other mechanics in the area. Trust these guys going forward for all my needs, you can't go wrong.
Had my car at a previous mechanic for 2 months and he couldn’t figure it out, I brought my car to VTA Performance and within minutes found the problem and had me up and running in an hour. Great availability, called and got an appointment the next day. Had all brakes done and an oil change and they had it back to me in the early afternoon. Affordable service, friendly and professional staff. Will definitely be going back for future automotive issues and service.

After driving 5 hours, tire pressure warning came on. They got me in that next morning and assured me the tires were fine, the alert system was wrong. AND changed my oil which was needed anyway. Really nice, professional. Go here!
The guys were friendly and professional. I am not a tire expert, but I have researched and purchased enough of them over the years to know when I am getting good advice/options, and recommendations, and that's what I got from VTA. The work was done timely and as promised. The biggest hassle was figuring out which driveway to turn into off Rt. 9, since their garage is behind the building that fronts the road. I recommend them and would use them again.
I took one of my trucks for service and Tom was pleasant and took his time explaining what services were needed and completed.
Second time around I took my other truck for modification work but the other tech John was the complete opposite , can't be bothered attitude rude to my wife when she needed to go back to the shop next day for an issue with their installation work, they had cracked two new parts which led to moisture buildup but he denied any wrong doing but was quick to say it must have cracked on the way home?? Realy , 1 mile from the house?? Im fairly sure he would not have used that tone to another man asking reasonable questions about the work that had recently been done.. Don't pay this shop cash, pay the 3% cc fee they push to the customer, keep them as honest as possible in that regard..

These guys are absolutely Awsome!! I own a 2018 Kia Stinger and brought it in for some performance mods! These guys know there stuff knowledgeable and go the extra mile for their customers! Just had an oil change here and it was a great experience. I called pretty late on a Friday so I was definitely appreciative that he was able to squeeze me in. The owner is super friendly and knowledgeable. After taxes & fees paid about $40.
VTA will definitely be my go to shop from here on out. The guys diagnosed my problem, gave me a great quote upfront, and then did a fantastic job. I highly recommend bringing your vehicle to them if you want the confidence in knowing the job is going to be done correctly!
Brought in a Jeep for Tire repair that Jeep dealer was not able to do, they did it right away, took care of an issue with taillight covers as well and saved us close to $1000 on a new soft top. These guys are great, very friendly, and helpful. Don't go anywhere else if you need Jeep help!
These Guys are really good! I've been going to VTA since a month after they opened. I have several cars and have been able to get all my work done without any trouble at all. I have been to 4 different mechanics in the Barnegat area before VTA. I tried the local tire shops and two other mechanics with only 1 out of the 4 being decent. VTA is by far my best all around experience in the last 5 mechanics in 5 years. I have a car with over 12k in performance work before going to VTA- its a 4cyl turbo with awd that they have been working on at the present time, not to mention my spare car with tons of miles and my wife"s car. I have spent time talking to them about all of my cars and they have all taken the time to listen and make reasonable suggestions to help me achieve what I'm trying to accomplish with any one of my cars, (they really do listen and take the time) unlike some of the other places I've been to. I am also no dummy when it comes to rebuilding a car or working on my own cars, that being said, I'm far to busy these days to do my own work on my cars or enjoy it and that is why I continue to find the best mechanic/s around. I feel they treat my stuff as their own and that makes a wold of difference when spending money on a service. I think their prices are fair and I feel more than confident in their ability to cover all types of work. The guys at VTA did my Rear Differential mounts, check out how clean it became after they dropped the rear and cleaned it up! Keep in mind I only needed the mounts changed. I will continue to use them for any work needed and recommend them too! Great work, Great customer experience and fair prices for what you get, AAA+ in my opinion.
heard about this place from a friend online - love them!! owners are sweet young guys and they were so nice on phone and in person. It's a small place but family run and i really like them.
