Brought my wife’s car here 2/9 at 530PM. Tech Alexander decided it would be a good idea to smoke weed in my wife’s car. Found his disposable in the drivers seat and the car smelled like weed.
Not only am I disappointed with the smell and audacity of the tech to smoke in someone else’s car, but he also put myself, my wife, and others at risk for operating and working on her vehicle while under the influence of drugs.
I almost spent $1000 at this establishment and I regret even giving them $1.
Extreme lack of professionalism. Would avoid this facility at all costs.
By far the best pep boys I’ve been to, they have a great group of guys who always take care
of me and go the extra mile. Whenever I need something for my vehicle or have questions the guys are my first stop. Great shop!
After a big snowstorm, and very cold weather, my car battery was dead. Pep Boys in Pompton Plains was open, when no one else was. Got me in and out with a new battery in less than 15 mins. They were reasonably priced and the service techs were very polite and accommodating. A few days later, I had a nail in one of my tires. Back to Pep Boys for the same, excellent service. I will be using them again for future services. Great Job! Thank you Pep Boys.

Pep Boys in Pompton Plains, New Jersey is a wonderful place to bring your car for repairs or tires. Gregg At the front desk is knowledgeable, friendly, and patient answering all your questions or concerns. Jayco the mechanic Is competent, professional, friendly, and also answers your questions. I am very satisfied with the service at this location and would highly recommend it. I previously also purchased great tires there effortlessly and a was good value.

I am extremely happy with the service I received at Pep Boys. The manager and service technicians were courteous, efficient and thorough in addressing my problem. One of my front tires had a gash that could not be patched from the outside. In addition one of the pressure sensors was faulty. They were able to patch the tire from inside and replace the faulty sensor. The work was done promptly and efficiently, and the price was reasonable . Overall they went above and beyond, and I highly recommend them.
Jeremy and the team were great to work with. Replaced the brakes and rotors on my SUV along with tires on my other car. Efficient scheduling and no complaints on the brake performance after replacement, everything feels good.
I visited Pep Boys today for tire installation and had an excellent experience. The manager was professional and attentive, and the service provided was efficient and high quality. The facility was clean, modern, and well maintained. I was assisted promptly and completed my service in a timely manner. I would highly recommend this location. The manager took the time to explain to me. Great service-the team is always so nice! I had a battery problem in my car in the AM, got a jump and went to Pep Boys, they had the battery in stock and were able to take my car right in. Car is running like new again. Ty
I just want to take the time to sincerely thank Jeremy and his staff. They got me in within 10 minutes of calling and were able to really help me out and get me to work tomorrow, Jeremy and his staff are great people and great workers and I sincerely appreciate the A+ service!

Set up an appointment last minute for a brake job. Staff was friendly, transparent and provided great service. Was expecting a day or 2 for the work (ordering parts) but it got done in just a couple hours

Hector ( mechanic ) saw my tire was missing lug nuts. I had no idea they were missing. I had my truck served two weeks prior at the dealership. Call dealership who stated the items would be replaced after my service at Pep Boys.
Jerome again helped me out with this issue.
I have used this location numerous times and I’m always satisfied and happy with the service and product.
The best Pep Boys in the area! They were reasonable with pricing and took care of an oil change, tires, tire sensors, brake pads, and rotors very quickly today. They even took the time to show me what needed to be done while the car was jacked up. Sulerman at the front desk, Cory the manager, and Jonathan and Wilson the techs were MVP’s today.
Book appointment 3 days in advance for 8 am. They said tires were in the store. It took 3 hours to change 4 tires. Now driving to work today I find out they did a horrible job balancing the tires. Now I will either waste another 2 hours going back or paying someone else to do the job correctly.
Beware!!! I went yesterday to get my tires put on.. I work in the car industry and the only reason I went here is because it was 0% financing for the tires, that I bought online, and installation.. I dropped my truck off at 8am and went to go play golf.. While I was playing golf I received a few text messages and phone calls from them.. The first was telling me I needed brakes and rotors and they sent me pictures.. I do all my servicing with my dealership and they always check everything even when I get an oil change.. I checked with my technician at my dealership and he said my brakes and rotors were fine.. Being in the car biz I know they try to sell you things, which I appreciate, but it was something they were trying to get "over" on me.. Not cool!!!
Also, while they were putting the new tires on they broke my tire pressure sensor and wanted me to pay for it, $110!! Again, good thing I'm in the car biz because a tire pressure sensor should not break taking a tire off.. After letting them know this, they agreed to fix it at no charge.. If I didn't know better, like some customers, They would have gotten over on me for a lot more than I went there for.. The final report they gave me at the end didn't even mention brakes and rotors..
Working at a dealership for over 21 years, dealerships don't charge that much more and will give a better overview of your vehicle.. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!
The team here is great! They got me right in, diagnosed the issue as my rotors and breaks, and got me out of there in a couple of hours. The mechanic even took the time to show me the bad parts and go over why they needed replaced. Their prices are very fair and the job was done perfectly. Great job guys! Keep up the great work!
I cannot say enough good things about this Pep Boys. First of all the manager Cory is extremely helpful. He tries to work with you and takes the time to explain what your car needs. He makes sure you understand the costs of the work being done so that there's no surprises.
I had a ton of work done on my older vehicle. Jayco did my oil change, and George worked on my car. Both of these gentlemen were extremely down to earth. They did an amazing job. George saw that I was waiting for a while, and he took the time to show me all the repairs that were being done and explained to me the importance of each job. As he worked diligently, he would describe what he was doing, and pointed out the areas of the car that needed addressing so that I fully understood. It was clear my car was in trustworthy and knowledgeable hands. He even went above and beyond and let me borrow a phone charger when my phone had died. They also worked hard to make sure my vehicle was done before I needed to pick up my kids.
Since they made me feel comfortable, I went back there when I needed new tires. Once again, Cory the manager had my back. He went over all the tire deals with me, and when I changed my mind, he promised to call me back with other options. He stayed true to his word, called me back, and said that he found me a set of high quality tires that were within my price range. He also gave me another call when the vehicle was done and went over all the work that had been completed. Wilson did my tire installation and wheel alignment. He clearly did amazing as the drive home felt like I was driving a completely different car.
There's also another man who's always at the front office. I don't recall his name, but every time I have been there or called on the phone, he's always been very courteous and helpful.
Needless to say, I will continue to come here for all my car repairs. They are reliable, trustworthy, and most importantly the mechanics know what they're doing. Highly recommend!
This location was amazing!! They listened and didn’t just turn me away to the other PepBoys that I was previously serviced at. They thoroughly looked over my car and went above and beyond to help me resolve the issue. Cory is a rockstar! Give that man a raise.
