What clients say about Firestone Complete Auto Care in Parsippany-Troy Hills Township (NJ)

We worked directly with Emilio. Over the phone, we agreed to a crankcase vent hose replacement and a fuel system flush. When we arrived, we were told an oil change and spark plug replacement had already been done, work we never authorized. Meanwhile, the repairs we actually agreed to had not even been completed. That is completely unacceptable. You do not perform additional services on someone’s vehicle without clear approval. It is even more frustrating when the work that was approved is still pending. The entire interaction lacked transparency and clear communication. We should not have had to question what was being done to our own car. After this experience, we looked at Yelp and saw other reviews describing similar issues involving the same staff member. That is concerning. We expected professionalism and honesty. This experience did not reflect that. We will not be returning.

I had a very disappointing experience at the Parsippany Firestone. I arrived for a scheduled oil change, which took two hours despite having an appointment. During the wait, the salesperson told me I needed new spark plugs. Since it was my day off, I was very clear: I didn’t mind the expense, but I didn’t want to waste my time. I told them if they could do the work immediately, I’d proceed; otherwise, I’d come back another day. The attendant assured me they would start right away. However, after waiting nearly another hour, I checked on my car and saw no one was working on it. It turns out they were still waiting for parts they hadn't even received yet. I ended up taking my car elsewhere, only for another mechanic to inform me that I didn’t even need the spark plugs. It’s upsetting to have a "handshake agreement" on my time ignored, especially when the repair itself was unnecessary.

Wonderful wonderful service and compassionate people. Jill covered a ten dollar charge for me! Thank you. They do excellent work here and I can trust their prices. NJ Family Court left me destitute, after I was granted an FRO against an abuser in Domestic Violence Court and the Family Judge left it ALL off the divorce so I'm struggling. I will forever come to Firestone!

“Worst place ever”!!! They are trying to fool you, stay away from this place. They are very arrogant and not honest. I recommend going to another Firestone location don't go to this location. Firestone needs to take action on this location because so many customers have very bad experience on this location. “Firestone is good” but not this location.

I got a great deal around Thanksgiving Holiday but whats more important is that i found understanding with the personel at this location who met my needs and helped me out get full package for 4 new tires. After couple of months driving i can also say that the technician did great job installing the tires. I don't usually write reviews but this one is ? deserved. Thank you Jill and Tony, you guys are amazing

Service was polite and quick. Showed me the problem with my tires. I chose the less expensive Fireston tires over the more costly Bridgestone. Tires appear a bit noisier than my old ones.

The driver’s-side rear tire lost air on I-80 during morning rush hr. Fixaflat let me drive it a bit but I couldn’t break the lugnuts and it wouldn’t accept air. I called Firestone and a calm, mature, fatherly voice encouraged me to bring it in. When I got there (1 mile away), the guy said I’d be “next,” which was encouraging! I waited abt 2 hrs wherein they changed all 4 tires (the flat, punctured one and 3 near-bald ones). Yay! When I drove away I was pleased and the 3 hubcaps were on. 2 came off along the way to my job (11 miles away down I-287) in a safe industrial park. I’d put them on some 6 mos b4 & they never came off. I called Firestone and was told “if they were on when you brought it in they were on when you left,” & when I called again I just asked that next time they attach them better bc I had to replace them. The guy said he’d relay the msg but there was no “we have some in the back” or “you can get them cheaper at…”. It was kinda my problem. Still, I’m glad the person who picked up initially was so friendly bc I’d have had to call AAA or gone elsewhere. So for that I’m grateful. / Glenn Allen

Had my tires mounted with and tpms replaced. 2 tries and tpms still not synced with the vehicle. Furthermore the woman at the counter had such an attitude. Had a steering wheel vibration at 55mph. First she said that it was my brakes! Well if she meant warped rotors, I was not touching the brakes; vibration during cruising. Next she said that it was my AT tire selection that causes the vibration. Clearly ignorant, and I’m not going to waste my time arguing with ignorance. Do yourself a favor and use the Firestone in denville. BTW tpms light is still on

We’ve been bringing our vehicles to Firestone CAC West Caldwell (1005 Bloomfield Ave) for quite some time. This weekend, we ran into an issue applying a digital credit from a tire promotion. The store manager, Cesar Ortega, stepped in and resolved it. Even while busy with other customers, he took the time to help, remained patient and professional, and was persistent until the issue was fully solved. His attitude and dedication to customer service truly stood out. Thank you, Cesar! A quick note for other customers: This is not a store issue. Be cautious with promotional stuff issued through the CFNA credit card. Our experience with CFNA’s customer service was very poor, and therefore we no longer use that card.

Couldn't ask for better service. I had a tire emergency, gave them a call and told me to come on in. All said and done, it took about 2 hours for 2 new tires and an alignment. Which is amazing considering I had no appointment. Thank you to everyone down there at Firestone! You guys rocked!

My car died on Rt 46. Somehow I had enough battery power to get over to Firestone. Jill was so helpful. Scott called me the next day, told me what I needed done on the car, and when it would be fixed. I didn’t feel like he was overcharging me for anything. Very honest. Will definitely go back in the future!

Horrible ‘service’ I have lived in this neighborhood for a decade and have used Firestone mainly because it is close to home. That said, there has been a consistent lack of professionalism from just about the entire staff – from managers on down. I brought my wife’s car in for an oil change this past Friday, and the prevailing mood in the store and the look on the employees faces were so miserable that I made a comment that “you guys must be ready for the weekend“. Both the male and female employees who were at the front were openly rude, unprofessional, and condescending, and it escalated to the point that I felt that I needed to state that to them. The response I got was that I had a “look on my face“ and that’s why they had an attitude with me. The conversation got so contentious that I literally had to step outside the store to calm down because it felt like it was going to escalate well past a verbal conversation. I contacted the customer support from Firestone later that evening, and while the rep was very apologetic and understanding, this has been an ongoing issue in this particular location since I started going there – regardless of the manager and employees working there. This place is toxic, and has a serious issue with remembering who the customers are. I will absolutely never return to this location or any other Firestone for that manner, and I am definitely sharing my experiences with my military veteran brothers and sisters, family and friends, and via social media. There is a reason why employee and management turnover is so high – nobody likes working in this location and it is clearly evident. Save yourself the aggravation and go to someplace where the customer is treated with even a modicum of decency and appreciation.

Jill is a super sufficient worker. While sitting and waiting she multitasked and kept her kool. Everyone was taken care of and her directness and communication was on point! NOT MANY WORKERS LIKE THAT OUT HERE ANYMORE ALWAYS SATISFIED AT FIRESTONE!

They are always helpful. Top notch service. Saved me from having to buy a new tire by replacing the valve, which I didn't even think of

Emilio is the reason I'm leaving 5 stars. He is so kind, even when I can tell things are hectic. And he always looks out for me when the price is expected to be high. Great experience whenever I go here. One thing I'll say, it's usually a good idea to drop off and return later, as service times can be a bit long.

If I could give 10 stars I would! Absolute lifesavers. On our trip home for Thanksgiving, a wiper blade stopped working…in the rain. We called ahead and upon our arrival they got us in immediately. Jill at the front desk was so helpful and efficient in getting the car looked at. Al was our mechanic, and got the problem fixed right away! He helpfully explained the issue in case it happens again, and got us on the road in 20 minutes. So thankful for their help!

I have had up to 5 cars at one time serviced at this location. They have always been very professional, communicative, responsive and receptive to the needs of my cars. I will continue to bring my cars here.

I had an excellent experience at Firestone thanks to the Service Manager Emilio. From the moment I arrived, he was friendly, attentive, and made sure I fully understood the work that needed to be done on my vehicle. He took the time to explain everything clearly, gave honest recommendations, and never tried to upsell unnecessary services. What stood out most was their professionalism and genuine care for customer satisfaction. Emilio kept me updated throughout the process, ensured everything was completed on time, and the quality of service exceeded my expectations. It’s rare to find someone who truly goes above and beyond to make sure customers feel valued and taken care of — but that’s exactly what Emilio did. I’ll definitely be returning to this Firestone location because of the excellent service and leadership they provide. Highly recommend!

I’ve been bringing my car to Firestone for a while now, and I can’t say enough good things about the Service Manager, Emilio. My car has had quite a bit of work that needed to be done, but he’s been so helpful every single visit — explaining what’s most important to take care of first and helping me plan things out so it doesn’t break the bank. Emilio is always patient, honest, and genuinely cares about making sure I’m taken care of. I never feel pressured or confused — he takes the time to go over everything and make sure I understand what’s being done. It’s such a relief to have someone you can trust with your car and your budget! Even though I live over 40 minutes away, I specifically come to the Firestone in Parsippany because of the great experiences I’ve had with Emilio. Thanks to his help, I’ve been able to keep up with my repairs little by little, and my car’s running better than ever. Firestone is truly lucky to have someone like him — kind, professional, and dedicated to doing right by his customers!

They were really friendly, and fast. The young man at the front desk, I think josh was his name, was polite and checked on my car frequently so I didn’t spend too long there. Highly reccomend!

Made an appointment via phone on 10/9. Was told the job (coolant fluid exchange) would take 1/2 hour. Dropped my vehicle off at 12:30. Was not finished until 5:20. My kids school ends at 3:20. Because I was lied to, I had to pay 100.00 to the Boys & Girls club aftercare to pick my kids up as I was late getting them since Emeilo lied. Also, the prices are high. This job was 150.98. Midas charges 119.95 and Pep Boys 110.99. Don't waste you money and especially your time at this auto shop.

Since we moved to Parsippany in 2018 we have been coming here. Today the service was the best for me because I had something scrapping the road under my car and it was so awful driving there to see what they could do. My husband called ahead for me and as soon as I pulled in three men came out to greet me right away to take care of me. Truly outstanding and we have never had a single issue with their services!!

Went there for brakes. After 4 visits, well over a thousand spent, and many hours wasted waiting, the brakes were just as low and dangerous as when I brought it there. The fact that they told me it was fixed FOUR times and had me drive away with dangerously low brakes each time blows me away. Finally got the spouse of a work colleague to fix them properly. Cost $200. NOW they work perfectly. Stay far away ...

I never had an easy experience going to get my car repaired. The store manager Adony Batista worked with me through all my issues and was a pleasure working with him. I recommend anyone to come here for your auto needs.

BEWARE! WORST EXPERIENCE IN THE WORLD!!! I BEG YOU NOT TO USE THEM FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY! I took my car in for a oil change and tire rotation. After driving it off the lot, the driver’s side tire flew off the car while going about thirty miles an hour because the lug nuts were either not tightened or not there at all. I had damage in a few places but I was physically ok. I took the car back to Firestone and contacted their supposed claims department. All of my requests – taking the car back to the dealership to get it fixed, doing a safety inspection, balancing the tire, and/or using OEM parts – were ignored. The only thing I got was a rental car from the claims department, which I did appreciate. The fight between corporate claims and the store itself after I received the rental car was a nightmare – calls after calls after calls with no answer. Not even emailing worked. I wanted the car listed as a total loss since it was a lease and they would not even acknowledge me. I not only had none of my requests done, I did not receive a single phone call or email from the claims department FOR TWO MONTHS. That’s two months without my car, doing payments on it. The store then proceeded to fix my car without my permission and called me multiple times to pick it up. I would not until someone from a third party verified that it was fine. After two months, I couldn’t wait anymore and I went to pick it up with warnings of bringing it to the dealership myself. When I was driving it to the dealership THE BATTERY DIED. I brought it back to Firestone and THEY PROCEEDED TO CHARGE ME FOR THE BATTERY. 324 dollars! The car is two years old! Brand new! It didn’t have a scratch on it before they touched it. So I had the honor of paying for an oil change, tire rotation, and battery. While they did not charge me for the repairs after the accident, they did NOT refund me the tire rotation service. By the way, when I wanted any sort of assurances that they were doing right by me after picking it up the first time before the battery problem, I asked outright if there would be any problems with the car. The guy said he would put his own daughter in it. Go figure. Hope the daughter likes jump starting her car on the side of the highway. Btw, the pictures attached are of the tire in the grass after it fell off and my car's rotor hitting the ground. EDIT 09/04/25: After posting this review, the claims department / corporate - not the Parsippany Firestone!!! - refunded me the money for my oil change, tire rotation, and battery. I am extremely appreciative, but also furious that it took a social media review to get any sort of response from them considering the messages and calls I sent before this.

Even after taking appointment, it took 5 hours for wheel alignment. (11 am to 4 PM) After asking for status, no proper updates were provided. Manager's behavior was not friendly. Additionally, the issue did not get fix after service and my tire still requires proper alignment. I feel there is no point of taking an appointment and still wasting whole day.

I had an excellent experience at Firestone Complete Auto Care. Service Manager Emilio M. and his team were incredibly diligent and helpful when changing my headlight. They didn’t have the bulb in stock, but Emilio went out of his way to personally get one so the job could be done right away. Great customer service, fast work, and a team that truly goes above and beyond. Highly recommend!
