We drove 4hrs to pick up our uses ATC trailer. Glen was supper knowledgeable and helpful. We had a couple concerns but he addresses them immediately and made this the best trailer buying experience. His concern for our safety was his priority. I can't thank him and the guys at Performance Trailers enough. Well worth the trip!

Family run Business and totally professional employees. Derick worked with me to make sure all my lights, brakes and power worked before leaving for my trip home. He was not rushed and he took his time and worked with me. Debbie ordered the trailer, had it in exactly when she said it would be and made the process easy. Worth the 2 hour trip. On 11/21/24, I spoke with Don, a product specialist, with Performance Trailers in Flanders (Mount Olive), NJ. He spent over an hour helping me understand the different types of enclosed car trailers that are available. Don discussed the different materials used in the construction of a trailer, how to calculate towing capacity based on the weight of the enclosed trailer itself and the vehicle weight loaded into the trailer, and the benefit of swing-out stabilizer jacks, which his company can install on the rear of the enclosed car trailer for a reasonable fee. At no time did Don pressure me to make a purchase. I left our conversation feeling better informed and better able to make a decision. Don at Performance Trailers has earned my business. If you have any questions about trailers even if you are not ready to make a purchase, ask to speak to Don.

I am editing my initial review from 5 years ago. Still 5 star review. They are very professional and did everything to make sure it was 100% right without making or cutting any corners. Had some electrical issues with my enclosed trailer and it came down to yes there were some trailer stuff that needed to be address but it turned out that there was some owner error meaning me that needed to be taken care of. Sometimes the lesson learned is the expenses to correct it. Unless I can find someone better and closer to me than them, I am not planning to change locations for the world.

My father has purchased several trailers here for the past 20+ years. Looked no further because of his stringent approval criteria for salespeople. I can see why he recommended Performance Trailers. Time came that I needed one myself. Employees were very straightforward, professional, patient, knowledgeable, and helpful. They also sell tie downs, hitches, straps, clips-you name it! Even better, seemed like 99% of the items they sell are made in the US (very surprised). Well priced too. Can't thank everyone enough for helping me get hooked and on the road!

If you ever need a trailer or service this is the company you want to deal with. My company shopped around for a 22ft Deckover trailer and other company sales people were either uninterested in our business or clueless. We then contacted Performance Trailer and spoke with Don Ehrgott who was very knowledgeable and attentive to all our questions. He gave us a good price and we purchased. When we picked up the trailer he went through all the trailer functions. Once we got it to our office we had other logistical questions, and Don once again addressed everything in a timely fashion. Five stars in my book.

I would rent an enclosed from them in the passed. Then, I purchased my trailer used from a friend. I took it to Performance Trailer for a PM and install some new hardware for a long haul to Florida. Let me say, Deb was amazing. I wish real car buying was this easy and pleasurable. I was in and out in under an hour with a 6x10 enclosed. I live nearly 2hours away but will always drive here for my trailer needs.

I ordered from Amazon twice and received the Wrong parts. Called, spoke to a person who understands his business and he helped me. 5 minutes and my problem was solved. Incredible would be an understatement. Someone who knew what he was talking about... incredible

Before I purchased my enclosed trailer here, I used to rent trailers whenever I needed to tow my cars. Super easy and affordable. Once I was ready to purchase my own trailer, I sat down with Glenn and Wayne to discuss best options and customization needs. They were super easy to work with and provided excellent workmanship on the customization side of things.

I bought a used trailer from Performance Trailer a while back. The purchase process was very easy and smooth. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I've gone back many times for parts and I'm always greeted with a smile. I always love to support a family owned business. Plus they have the most friendly sales puppy, Raven, who greeted me on some of my visits.

I rented an open trailer to haul a Corvette up from MD. The rental procedure was quick and very smooth. You'll need a driver's license and insurance card for the towing vehicle. The staff is great! Renting trailers is small potatoes to PT. It is a large operation that sells and services a huge variety of all kinds of trailers. They also do repairs, parts and custom work. If you have ANY type of trailer need, go here first.

Excellent service!!!I purchased a High Country Xpress trailer from Camp Out in Asbury, NJ and needed a replacement VIN sticker. I reached out to Camp Out and as usual they never responded. Did some research and found Performance Trailers. The owner Glenn was very accommodating and was able to send me a replacement sticker the next day. I wish I had known about this place when I bought the trailer. Thanks for the great customer service and quick turn around!

So far the start of my experience dealing with the sales department has been unbelievable, I am the owner of a pre-owned auto dealership, all to familiar with all sales tactics. Neil has been an absolute pleasure to deal with. No pressure, no sales tactics, just straight business with excellent advice. I did my research, and started building a trailer with a company in Georgia. After speaking with Neil I would never purchase a trailer anywhere else....

Great place to shop and wonderful staff for all your trailer needs. I drove about an hour and a half to purchase a trailer. It sure was worth the trip. I also ordered some accessories from them to make my purchase that much nicer. A few before and after pictures of my new toy! Very helpful crew, set an appointment and picked up exactly what I wanted. Newer trailers, good kept condition, would definitely get another rental, beats uhaul to the trailers and the price.

I recently spoke with Wayne about renting a trailer to use for an event that I was attending at Watkins Glen with my car. I went there first to look at what he had available. I have an Audi R8, it is very low to the ground and is not easy to get in an enclosed trailer. He showed me a brand new enclosed trailer with a door that opens over the wheel well so you can remove the well and fully open the driver's door. It was an aluminum trailer, very nicely made. We setup the rental, I showed up to pick up the trailer about two weeks later; I did not have the right size ball or enough straps. Wayne lent me straps, the hitch and ball, etc. to get me setup. He also was extremely fair with the charge for the rental, and was flexible on my pickup and return days. I had the trailer for a total of five days and probably paid half of what another company wanted for a piece of garbage open bed trailer. When I am ready to buy, I will go back there to purchase. Neal was very helpful and PATIENT with us while we [literally] walked through and inspected all the trailers we were interested in, fired away question after question about the different trailer models, axles, manufacturer's, safety concerns, fabrication, towing & towing requirements, undercoating, warranty, lighting...if you have a question we probably asked it. He gave us great gouge on loading a tandem axle trailer/applicable center of gravity loading for the best and safest towing experience (we're newbies). He didn't try to upsell anything and gave us honest assessments per OUR needs. Post purchase the shop guys continued offering advise and answered questions about hooking up the trailer, the electronic braking system and how to calibrate the settings. Heck, they even knew the limitations of our truck and gave us pointers on what to expect in truck handling. Peanuts to peanuts the quality of their in-stock trailers BEAT the "comparably" priced units from other manufacturers at the other guys - even with the gas and tolls paid to go get it. After talking to and looking at other dealers (in NJ, GA, CT, ME and PA), Performance Trailers really IS the best if you expect to purchase a QUALITY trailer from a KNOWLEDGABLE staff. Is the trailer perfect? No, there are minor things I don't like such as the plastic side door handle, the rubber grip on the side door slides off (I'm going to super glue it), and slightly askew weather stripping on the back door, but overall? The trailer is solid. Model is NH612TA w/Ztech undercoating (the thicker rhino liner like stuff, not the polymer they all come with). It rides smooth and going with the tandem axle was clutch. The brakes are well worth the extra cost but it's slightly harder to maneuver and park in reverse. Thanks for an all around great trailer buying experience!

If you ever need trailer work, or parts this place is just AMAZZZING. They have everything and more. They saved my life and my boat trailer on 10 /26 / 2016. Had a blow out and found out that my bearings were rusted out. A stranger send me their way and what a blessing. Super friendly. Thanks for the cake. I just came across the receipt. Now I know where to bring the "RORY'S CAKE"

Trailer Outlet is an excellent place to go for all your trailer needs. They have a wonderful selection of trailers and they build some of the best landscaping trailers I have ever seen on the market. Their trailers are built to last and built with landscapers in mind. I most recently ordered and received one of their custom American Hauler landscape enclosed trailers and I could not be happier. Has everything that I wanted and is an excellent built trailer. The prices are a little high but you will not find a trailer like this anywhere else so you get what you pay for! Thank you Debbie and Team for an excellent experience. I will be back for more trailers!

This operation has always provided the most professional service to us. We've been customers for over 11 years. The owner is always very fair and extremely helpful whenever we rent from them. Can not say enough good things about them.

I went to this establishment based on a recommendation from a business associate. First salesperson refused to get back to me although I was clear that I needed the trailer immediately. A week later I got a new salesperson who responded with timely service and got me all set up. I WAS CLEAR THAT I WANTED A BRAND NEW TRAILER. When I showed up the trailer had been assembled with the wrong hitch, there was rust all over the trailer, they gave me a roll top cover that was missing the bar that secures it, they were missing the spare tire (which they scolded an employee in front of me about it... classless and made me really uncomfortable), the roll top cover ended up being completely rusted as well since it was years old and sitting around, and then they wouldn't let me leave with the original documents needed for registration and insurance purposes. They said when the finance company pays them, I will have my documents. What happens the next week??? They call me and tell me that some guy named Joe who lives in my area has received my documents in error and I should find him and get my documents from him. I still can't use my trailer that I needed immediately. Thanks for all your help on your overpriced trailer and service.
