I went during off season, which was great, as I didn’t experience any traffic, issues with parking or overcrowded beaches. The beach was clean and the water was clear, the waves were calm in one area, with an entire separate area that had plenty of waves and surfers riding their waves. The boardwalk was full of walkers, cyclists & runners, but at no point did it feel crowded. It was the perfect day to enjoy a relaxing day at the beach.
Crowded on a Saturday in August, as one would expect. New Jersey price gouges for enrance and parking. But the ocean was there. Listening and watching the waves was relaxing.
By mistake we came to this beach, they make you pay at the parking for the access to the beach which didn't have permission to get into the water..I think this area is not good. Avoid this break and go to long branch
I really wanted to see the beach so after driving for over an hr to get here I had to hunt for parking, which I did find handicapped parking(ur not required to pay after 5pm if I recall correctly) so I did find "free" parking which was gr8!
Excellent beach, enough parking. They have restrooms located at walkable distance. One thing to be aware is there is no board walk. We came here mostly to play beach volleyball.
Loved it. Nice and clean. Not crowded. One of my favorites, the Boardwalk! I like to walk, see different stores, food options. I even got a shirt and a chair, both items at a decent price (course you got to look). Definitely will go back!
Beautiful long stretch of ocean beaches. Several playground areas for the kids. There was only a handful of people there as there was no swimming today, but that's better for me lol. Parking lot get locked at 830.
One of many reasons why Long Branch is becoming my favorite beach spot w/my in-lander family...but, get there b4 1000 as parking is NOT unlimited & for good reasons. ;)
We tend to go in the late afternoon. Beach is nice and not to crowded most of the time. The walk down to the beach is not that bad. The shower and snack facilities are nice.I find that typically the water is not as rough as some other beaches. however the reason I do not give this five stars is the beach can be rocky near the break.
Nice restroom and picnic facilities. So near fast food places like ursula plaza. Windmill hotdogs and pizza place with calamari close to each other makes for great feast on the beach.
Very nice beach. Soft sand with no stones. Very clean.Good parking in the area (granted we went on a Monday). Large enough so you can find a nice spot and remain socially distant from everyone else. The area between the buoys was very packed though, and people were on top of each other.
There is also a nice playground right by good for the kids.
The waves are incredible for strong swimmers such as myself. Some even top 7 feet. However, the pull is so strong, so dont let kids in the water by themselves unless you want them to drown
Rubber carpet to get you through soft sand next to the street is nice change since I stopped by few years ago, very few entrances so parking spaces close to one of them are always taken. Beach is relatively clean and we preferred it for ease of access from rt 36/35. Plenty of food choices near-by so kids can't complain too long when no lunch was packed.
I know it's because of the pandemic but the beach is nice and empty now, so much more comfortable. That being said, the people there were all trying to social distance and wore masks near others.
Beautiful oceanfront beach.. water was super clean , added security services patrolling very often plus lifeguards on duty of course. Has showers at exit for cleaning sand (personally love that anywhere it's very convenient). Beautiful place to spent quality time .I loved it????????
