BAD ATTITIDE, terrible mechanic.
Last repair they attempted on a Mercedes sprinter, had to bring the truck back it was shaking so much. ATTITUDE. We felt truck was not safe. Had to bring the truck to CONTEMPORARY MOTORS. The front wheels were loose.
SCARY!!.
Do yourself a favor Spend the extra 2$ go to CONTEMPORARY MOTORS!!!
Honest and capable. Knew my truck inside and out, diagnosed issues over the phone and quickly identified the trouble. Also confirmed items we need to stay ahead of to ensure my truck keeps making me money.

If I could give zero stars I would… writing this a month late. I don’t expect a mechanic to know everything but I do expect them to communicate what they know. John failed, had to constantly call for updates, and 9 days later got my car back in the same condition 480$ later. Brought my van back and they offered to work on it some more, thank god I didn’t let them. Take your sprinter to sprinter911 in wall, peter fixed my issues in under an hour, if you see this John just be more communicative and lay off the jelly rolls you won’t be fixing cars much longer
these guys cleverly deceive people! Replacing a wheel bearing costs $750, while in New York the price for this work is $500. Inspection of this bearing cost me $150!!!
Whoever was at the front desk was extremely helpful getting my plates off. Sucks to be in accident but if you need to be towed this is the place to get towed
I recently had problems with my motor. The rpms just dropped and my van wouldn't even stay on . I visited about 5 mechanics in the long ranch and Eatontown area and no ody wanted to work on it. I went to John's and even though he had a lot filled with vehicles he took my project on. So far my van feels great. I saw some of the other reviews and all I can say is good work ain't cheap, and cheap work ain't no good. Thank you John . The only reason I gave him 4 stars and not five is cause no one offered me coffee when I went in there?
We were traveling across country for a month when we ran into a problem with our tires. They took us immediately ,were fast, friendly and very accommodating plus they had a beautiful little spot in the back to wait and a Dunkin’ Donuts across the street!! It made having a little incident on the road a good experience.
My first experience with a mechanic and I visited a few months back, (around March or so). I asked them for a wellness check up. I also told them I needed to have sparks plugs added. They took about 2 days to get everything done. They charged me $400 for it all. I thought that was a really steep price, but I had nothing to compare it to. Now Aug 2021, I have more issues with my cars, and it makes me wonder if they actually did anything! I'm having issues that I wasn't having before when I first purchased it and it's only getting worse. I believe I've been ripped off, but it's too late to do anything about it now. It's so hard to find a mechanic that genuinely helps you. Long story short, I'd never be visiting them again...
Very happy with John and Jim caring for an unexpected repair. John told me to listen for a future issue but didn't encourage me to do it immediately. Definitely recommend them.
So grateful! I had a nail in my tire, and needed a quick fix, I am a single mom and both my kids were with me. They patched the tire fast and let me and the kids stay in the car! Highly recommend!
My car was stored here briefly after being rear ended by a drunk. Despite their storage yard being fenced & locked, a very expensive Motorola bluetooth transmitter was stolen from my car along with a small amount of cash that was in a change compartment. When I addressed the matter with the owner he was dismissive and said they had no responsibility for things like that. I can not recommend John's based on this experience.
We called John's Auto & Truck Repair first because we wanted to support local business. John, thanks so much for bailing us out on New Year's day! A snow storm is heading in tomorrow and John was kind enough to put my son's snow tires on his Acura on a holiday. The price was also great and the work was performed in one hour. This is a great operation and guys with kind hearts operate it. Thanks!
These ppl have saved my car! I thought it was headed for a junkyard. They consistently underbid the competition and do great work. They will give you all the options and let you know the pros and cons.
Most importantly they do FAST work. Never had it in for more than a day. Would definitely recommend!
