I am so gratefull to the store saleperson, Troy for helping me with the issue I had with my air flow censor. He went out of his way to inform me of the possible issue and to show me how it could be corrected by a spray or if the engine light continued to stay on I would order the censor. I would definetly recomend this saleperson again and use that auto zone in the future. It is also so nice to get the free diagnostric on my car to find out what the problem maybe.

I went in to return an item. The price of the item does not matched what I paid for. When asked for more clarification, he is clueless and said this is what the computer show. He threw my receipt away in the trash. When I asked to take a picture of my receipt, he grew angry and asked why I need a picture. Told him you do not care since this is not your money. He grew more upset and asked me to leave. What a customer service! I promptly filed a compliant with customer care. This is how they treat their customers!

I had a very disappointing experience with the first employee I spoke to, Joe, regarding a broken windshield wiper. My husband had already attempted to get assistance before I went inside, which is what prompted me to ask for help myself. I explained that the wiper was not working and asked if someone could come outside to take a look. Instead of assisting me or even attempting to inspect it, she repeatedly went back and forth with me about how cold it was outside. After asking several times, her manager (Mark/Mike) eventually stepped in and was more helpful. However, when I explained the poor service I received from the first employee, he seemed uninterested and dismissive. Overall, the lack of customer service and concern was very frustrating.

My headlight went out recently. Someone flashed me on my way to work last night. I went to AUTO ZONE in HAZLET the next morning. I came in with the wrong part number (for a high beam bulb). I needed a BASIC H11. JOAN double checked and sold me the low beam bulb. Then she opened my hood, installed the bulb, and checked the high and low beams along with the directionals. AWESOME WORK! If I could rate more than five stars, I would. JOAN is a great and dedicated employee and corrected me when I mentioned that I called this store on Route 36 by a competitor's name, to my mechanic. Sorry. HAPPY HOLIDAYS to all. This ole lady appreciates JOAN'S exquisite customer service, tremendous work ethic, and endurance to close the sale. JOAN sends her customers away HAPPIER than when they entered her realm. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK! PEACE

I want to give a huge shout-out to Joanie at AutoZone! Every time I come in, she goes above and beyond to help me. She’s patient, kind, and always takes the time to teach me what I need to know so I can keep up with my car Whether it’s checking something under the hood, explaining what a part does, or just giving honest advice, she never makes me feel rushed or embarrassed for asking questions. I truly appreciate her knowledge and the way she cares about her customers. Thank you, Joanie, for always looking out for me and helping me feel confident with my car. AutoZone is lucky to have you!

Sarah was fantastic. Many times, when I visited this store in the past, some of the staff were not really friendly, but tonight I received excellent customer service from this young lady. I hope the upper management notices her good work and disposition to help customers.

Joan the parts manager is absolutely amazing; she was patient and professional! We went needing a new battery, she confirmed the issue was indeed the battery with her diagnostics machine and replaced it for us. She was knowledgeable and very kind. 10/10 employee!

Hazlet, N.J.—If I could have left no stars I would have.. They need to find people that know ANYTHING about cars.. the guy that eventually attempted to help me ( After an endless wait ) knew less about cars than me.. Absolutely, horrible service… And if the owner is reading this, he needs to do something about that..

I give a 1 star because all the employees in there meaning the young men are USELESS. They know zero about cars and they are rude and again useless. I dealt with a young woman named Joan and she was FANTASTIC! Her professionalism was spot on, she was very helpful, she even came outside to see what was going on. Checked oil, did a diagnostic on it with the plug in machine and also offered to put my air filter in and show me how to do it. In my opinion she is a fantastic employee and the guys there should take a lesson. Every time I go in she is a great help and very professional. Joan gets 5 stars from me! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I stopped in just to purchase a battery for my car. Antwone not only helped me select the best battery for my car, but he immediately and meticulously installed it for me. I have only stopped at this store twice in the past year or so, but BOTH times the customer service was above and beyond. Antwone was not only knowledgeable and helpful, but extremely courteous and respectful to me. Great job! Thank you!

Stephen replaced my battery and you can tell he cares about what he does. My battery was badly corroded and he cleaned it really well. I was very appreciative of him. Not a lot of people care but I’m glad I had someone who does care to work on my battery and won’t rip me off.

Went today to get a fog light for my SUV today. The sales girl Isabella came out to make sure which light I needed and my make of my car even though I told her at the front desk to get a price. I got my fog light and Isabella came out and helped install my fog light being it was only a few screws that needed to be taken out to replace the bulb. Also, checked my battery to see if it was in good standing which was my other reason for being there. Auto Zone is where I have purchased batteries, windshield blades, oil, parts, tune up parts, and alot of other things i needed for my current vehicle and previous Dodge Durango i had. She helped me to also put my oil in because I could not get the valve to open to fill it myself. I filled my washer fluid tank while she went in for a funnel. I just want to say I always liked this location but there was a horrible and mean manager a few years ago that wouldn't even let her employee's help a customer out. So I didn't go as much if I needed anything. I would also like to thank Mark the manager that was there today for letting his employee's help customers because it really means alot especially to a woman. I went in and told the manager how much I appreciated the help that Isabella gave. It means alot to customers and one of the reasons you return.

We just went in for a headlight bulb. Noah rang us up, manager on duty went above and beyond for us by coming out and installing it for us. I dont know his name but im assuming he was a manager by his excellent service skills. Workers like him are rare these days 👌

I went into Auto zone in Hazlet instead of the one Middletown, & again greeted by Isabella who I must say is extremely customer oriented! She not only got the item I needed in a flash, but helped with assembling it under the hood, & one thing I could tell you it wasn't easy! I had to get a wrench! She made my day! This is the second time she has helped me! I know this young lady deserves a raise, because she works hard for the money! Auto zone is very lucky to have Isabella work there! I would give her many more stars but they only have a choice of 5! Thanks again for making me a happy customer! Sorangel

I bought a battery at auto zone #1124 i had 2 yr warranty. When i purchased it; the batt wasnt put on my Auto zone account at check out. I tried to get a reading from same store and the reading came back As Cracking health : FAIL RESERVE CAPACITY: N.A he immediately said i need a new battery its no good trying to sell me a new one. I ask him what did these things mean and he explained. I further ask if its that bad how can my car start with no crank health from the meaning he gave me.. I started it up with my remote start and ask him can he redo test. Bc it seemed in accurate as if his toll needs to be calibrated or something.. He press a couple buttons to reset and does another test this one comes back as a pass but now reserve CAPACITY is poor. Had him a bit confused with different results he goes and says do u have a warranty i told him yes he checks battery and confirms i do He take me inside for ab 30mins to tell me it wasn't purchase under your name we can switch it but all in same breath trying to still sell me a battery for 130 plus dollars with 25 dollar core deductible. All bc there staff didnt do their do diligence on following store policy asking for customer info to put purchase on account . Ps. And the time was 430pm est when i cam for test . His print out from his test tool has a time of 10.57p after the 3mins i ask for retest. Wish the manager james would have handled this situation in good faith with the warranty he confirmed i had And not continue to try and sell me a battery..

This store is a joke. Called to get parts I needed they supposedly had to get them from their hub store in East Brunswick,so yeah fine I understand that but even though they are supposed to call customers when their parts come in they couldn't take the time to actually do their job and call me the first time I dealt with them. Just last week I had to call again for a different part and after doing my own research I knew Hazlet would have to get it from East Brunswick, even gave them the part number as I had looked it up myself. Was assured it would be there in the morning by 8:30 or 9 am. Never came in and never got a call to let me know either way despite leaving my contact information. I would highly recommend that if anyone needs something for their car go to Advance, Rock Auto or even Napa pay the extra money anywhere but AutoZone. Quality of parts are also poor just like the customer service.

I came here on Tuesday 5/23 to get new wiper blades. The woman that was there helped me install them but must've not installed them correctly because the left blade almost came off while I was driving. I attempted to put the blade back into place but it seemed like the clip wasn't holding the blade down securely. Yesterday driving home from work, the same blade almost came off again. So today Saturday 5/27 I went back to ask if I can have them replace the one blade because it isn't secure and I'm nervous to drive with that on there. The woman Isabella was by the book - asked me if I kept the receipt or the box and I admit I should have but she didn't seem to want to help at first. I asked her if there was somebody else I could speak to and she said "They're just gonna tell you the same thing". She also insisted that "I was just gonna have to buy another blade". So I asked her if she could compare both blades because the one seems broken. She couldn't figure out either how to get the clip on so she went back inside and there was a gentleman inside that helped get the clip on securely and fixed the issue. I ultimately got what I needed so I'm leaving 5 stars -- but Isabella is not very good with customer service. Maybe by corporate standards, I don't know. I probably won't be coming back to this location though. Doesn't seem like their staff really know what they're doing.

The power of customer service is huge in today's world. Never got work done here, however I came here to get an air freshener for my car and the older gentleman at the counter wasnt friendly at all. He didn't say hello to me when I said hello, and didn't say anything the entire transaction. As im leaving I say "thanks, have a nice day" and he ignores me. Was going to consider getting parts and work done here, but will definitely consider other places. If you're trying to get business, returning customers, and good reviews, at least train your employees to have good customer service skills.

Great experience. Battery on my old Chevy died, everybody was super helpful. And even showed my 5yo how to change a battery. Great customer service from Michael and the nice lady with the glasses whose name escapes me but we were talking about curly hair. A most excellent establishment!

Need some customer service training. They all got an attitude like it's too much trouble to serve you. Had to go out the back and cut my own heater hose one time. Today I find they don't even deliver. What a joke. Not as if they are under staffed either. Same every time I go in there. Wouldn't last a day at McDonald's.

To me, AutoZone seems to be cleaner, neater, and better organized that other car parts stores. Their products are as good as their rivals, and the prices are often a little lower. The counter people are professional and helpful. Only ran into one awhile back who seemed to be in not such a great mood. They've always had everything I've needed. They check the online manuals to make sure it fits. I've never had to return any item. So, no complaints here.

Horrible customer service! Do not waste your time or money at this location! There are much better parts stores in the area. I ordered a bunch of parts online and one of the parts came in a box that was water damaged and taped together with masking tape. When I opened it up the part looked like it had been installed on a car and then returned and both gaskets were ripped apart. How can they send parts to customers in this condition? So I called customer service and they told me I had to go to a local store to replace it so I did just that. When I got there the guy said he had to do a return and then sell me a new one and then he tried charging me more money for the part and insisted that that was the only way to do it. After arguing with him for a bit I got to the manager who told me not to worry and my part would be in the next day and he would give it to me for the same price I originally paid. He said he would call me when the part came in well the next day came and went with no call so I called them the day after that and I was told they didn't have any part for me there. I will NEVER AGAIN do business with a shady company like this! Sorry Auto Zone but you just lost a customer who just purchased an older vehicle to restore that will need a lot of new parts.
