The guy Craig that works there is extremely rude and not helpful AT ALL!

I had a really disappointing experience with an employee named Tilak at this AutoZone. Went there to return a product which he refused to take back without any clear explanation Going forward went to other autozone location they didn't even asked any ques and took back the product Carteret autozone even tho rest of the staff is great that guy is just so unpleasant to talk to

I can’t say enough good things about Craig at AutoZone! I stopped in last week because my car battery had been giving me issues. Not only did Craig take the time to test it right away, but he also explained everything clearly so I understood my options. He didn’t just push a sale—he walked me through the pros and cons of different batteries and helped me pick the one that made the most sense for my car and my budget. On top of that, he actually came outside in the rain to help install the new battery and made sure everything was working before I drove off. That extra effort and customer care is rare these days. Craig turned what could have been a stressful situation into an easy and positive experience. If you’re going to AutoZone, ask for Craig—he’s knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely goes above and beyond for his customers.

I had a great experience at Auto Zonein Carteret NJ thanks to Craig Chrobocinski. He was knowledgeable, patient, and helped me find exactly the right part for my car. What really stood out was how he explained the differences between a couple of options and made sure I left with the right fit. Friendly and professional service — I’ll definitely be coming back!

Let’s give Autozone no stars. I walked in asking for help to confirm a diagnostic with my vehicle and they automatically verbally diagnosed without even coming to my car. I then asked well aren’t you going to come and confirm diagnostic and the jerk automatically stated I already know what’s wrong with your and did not come outside. They refused to come out. The 2 idiots that stood there did not move not one body part. The customer service was pure garbage and demeanor was lazy. Do better!

I just had my battery changed today by the Store employee ANGEL he went above and beyond assisted me in ways he didn’t have to, and did it all with a pleasant personality I applaud AutoZone for their customer service and the way the employee handled me from start to finish Great job ANGEL Returned on August 27th, 2025 I came to AutoZone in Carteret very worried. My car gave me a check engine light and I thought I would have to spend a lot of money to fix it. I was very lucky to meet Dennis the store manager. He not only diagnosed my car, but he explained everything in detail and I left out of there with no worries. Great job Dennis and AutoZone. Thank you. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I went to autozone in carteret to get my light bulbs checked out and Denis and Craig were very helpful with helping me install them and getting me on my way, I will definitely come back!

The manager Corey helped me & even did the installation on my red Honda! He’s great he explained it to me so I could understand (bc I’m just a girl lol) & he just went above & beyond for me and you can tell he was being genuine & not just trying to make a sale. Will definitely be returning if I have any other issues & looking for Corey!

Tim assisted in making sure I put the oil in for my BMW X3. He also made sure i purchased the correct amount needed. His leadership and customer service skills really showed how he cares about the customers. I highly recommend the store. Great job and you Rock!!!

This AutoZone had such great customer service. I got help with my windshield wipers and a battery replacement from Angel. He was very helpful and quick to answer any questions I had. Definitely will rely on this AutoZone for future purchases.

I had a great experience at AutoZone thanks to Jagjot Singh. He was really helpful when I needed help with my Altima's battery. Jagjot not only helped me choose the right battery but also took the time to explain everything I needed to know. His knowledge and excellent customer service made the whole process quick and easy. Highly recommend Jagjot and this AutoZone location!

Omg this location was great. I went into today looking to buy new windshield wiper. The managers Tim was so helpful. He helped me find the correct one and install them. He even checked my wiper fluid, and it turned out it was low. Now I'm good to go few a few months!

They went above and beyond to help us with a new battery. We were able to make it safely home after getting stuck on our way back to Long Island. Both young men that assisted us were knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. Definitely would recommend this store!

I came into this autozone which I stop in occasionally, just to grab little stuff for my car today I came in as per usual, I was greeted by Angel as soon as I entered the store although he was helping customers, the store was a bit busy (me and about 5 other customers) I watched him call the store manager William over many times and he kept ignoring Angel, when he finally did come and attempt to help me he was extremely rude and entitled, if this is the way this store is managed I fear you are going to lose many loyal customers. I recently came into this autozone about a week or two ago, I have frequently stopped into the store and was always treated well and helped immediately, my past few visits have been nothing but horrible! The new store manager is just flat out rude and lazy! I have came in looking for help and he just doesn’t seem to care, he will call an employee who is preoccupied with another customer to assist me (they are always helpful) yet he refuses, I have seen 1 employee deal with 5 separate customers all while William sits and plays on his phone. I hope autozone is able to immediately fix this as this is simply unacceptable.

If I could have given them a zero stars I would have. I brought a battery for my car a month ago. The battery was fault from sitting on the shelf so long. I called the store and the guy tell me I got to speak to the store manager who's never there by the way. I ended up having to pay to get my car towed to the Ford dealership. Pay to get a new battery and for the labor and still haven't spoke to the store manager regarding the issue cause they not there on weekends either Will never buy anything else from this place.

I was really impressed with the level Daya Sharma showed . She was very responsive and helpful , and was able to resolve my issue very quickly . I will definitely be coming back because of her.

I am not sure how can someone rate this store anything less than 5 stars. I have been coming in here for years, and have been met with multiple amount of different employees. The employee that has stayed at this location longer than anyone has been Arti Patel. Not only is Arti an exceptional employee, she is also a very caring for her customer and goes above and beyond to satisfy the needs of those who come in and or even call. Being that I have been coming for years at times I call and if they do not have what I need Arti makes sure it is ordered and received as soon as she can get it. I have watched her and her employees like Jagjot Singh go above and beyond by doing mechanical work on vehicles such as changing wipes and or batteries to say the least, in all sorts of weather. I could never speak any better for this staff than this and if I can give them beyond 5 stars I would. Thank you for being exceptional

Today I needed to put some oil in my Camry, however the hood wasn’t opening, it was stuck. John at the counter was very attentive and helpful, providing me with tools to try to open the hood, which after few attempts with his guidance it was a success. I appreciate the attention and service provided by him. Great experience!

I'll keep this review as short as my Autozone visit. I came in needing to replace my windshield wipers. After a short Q&A, I was on my way home happy with my purchase. I truly appreciate the customer service received and will definitely entrust future auto needs in my local AutoZone.

Went in for a battery after a brief internet search (believing I knew just what to get). John not only looked up what my car required, but he also explained to me and showed me why the online "top rated" batteries I had interest in wouldn't work/fit in my car. Javier, who changed the battery for me, took great care in doing so and taught me a few things as well. They're both knowledgeable, understanding and patient, great traits to have in their line of work. Thanks again Javier and John?

My husband has went to this Auto zone 2 times within a month and both times has dealt with Jasdip. He was very nice and very helpful. His personality and customer service is on point. The people at this auto zone are very friendly and always willing to help. Definitely recommend

I received great customer service here. The highlight was the manager (Mrs. Patel), she had a smile on her face throughout the entire time and was very kind and patient throughout the process. Her service was above and beyond!

I visited this AutoZone location a few hours ago and HAD to leave a review. I went there for something completely unrelated to my car and the lady who assisted me- not only did she go out of her way to resolve my issue but she tried and tried until she found the perfect tool and solution for me! The service was amazing! I wish I asked for her name. She was also very pleasant and personable. I would certainly go here if ever I need help with my car.

Bryant, the store manager, replaced a defective battery which was less than 2 months old. He went above and beyond to make sure it was installed properly and my car ran smoothly! He was very pleasant and professional. Highly recommend this store! Thanks Bryant!
