Dont go there and don't buy a car from their family bussiness. He sold me a used car saying everything was fine with it and if the car had a problem he would take care of it. After 2 months the car stop working Aqueel came 3 time to boost the battery saying it's because it's cold. The car did not pass inspection, and the hybrid battery is dead 4000$ for a new one and installation. He just don't care he knew all about and did not say nothing. It's criminal. He told me it's more than 3 months I can't do nothing, surprise Aqueel not 3 months yet
I've recently, for the past few months been coming here due to convenience of distance from my residence. As well as the overall reviews posted. And thus far I must say, the owner is very respectful & cordial, just as he is attentive with whatever work needs to possibly be done. This, in itself is a plus ?a major "Pro" that this establishment has.
The only "Con" I will state: The workers whom he has working on your vehicle will unfortunately heavily scratch it up. Yes, whatever work you ask for will be done. But that will come at the price of your vehicle coming back to you with a lack of consideration towards the exterior.
Which is unfortunate to say, because I want this business to succeed.
Personally, I say hire employees that tend better towards consumer consideration with their vehicles. It will be better in the long run for the business entirely. I say this as constructively as possible, without bias or malice.
Conclusion: 3 out of 5 stars with a needs in improvement/has potential to succeed for years to come.
My name is Mike and I have gone here a bunch of times and never had a problem. The cost was very reasonable and they did a good job every time. And they seem like they really care and want to help. I also know somebody else that has gone here and never had a problem and likes going here.
They don’t know what they are doing. I spent over $800 on repairs. The valve cover gasket they changed was leaking again because they didn’t install it properly. If you chose them then you’ll have to pay again to have your car fixed . In fact they don’t even use proper oil. Theyll put whatever oil they have. If you tell them about warranty they freak out and don’t want you to go back on a busy day. From the owner to the workers this place is TRASH !!!! DONT GO THERE !!!!!
Randomly just popped in this morning to see if they could fix my car well above expectation what people said could not be fixed. They fixed highly recommend this place.
Don't bring your car here. I told him there was a noise coming from the front wheels and we took a test drive. He said this noise could happen. He said this noise was normal. I took it to another mechanic and it was fixed. This one doesn't know anything. He even changes the oil wrong.
C - . I took my car with an over heating issue. They replace the water tank and the thermostat. And the end the car still with the same problem. And the advise me That I need to sell the car. I took my car to a different shop . And less than 1hr the full diagnostics and price ..
Had my brakes done prices was good, service was great the mechanic drove me home and picked me up, work was done in a timely manner as promised to me will be using this place again
Carteret Auto Repair Shop took fantastic care of my car--they are professional and courteous, from start to finish of service. I called them when I was waiting for my car to be towed, because I had a flat tire and so they knew I was on the way. They went above and beyond and found a replacement tire that they installed. I recommend them. Professional and reasonable.
Carlos, Fernando (Lead Mechanic) and Oscar are the BEST MECHANICS I have ever encountered in Carteret. They are experts and extremely knowledgeable in their field. I have taken my car to be serviced by them many times and I am completely satisfied.
Finding a mechanic who is compassionate, sensitive to one's situation is very hard to find. For a lot of mechanics, it is a job. Not for them. If you received a quote from another mechanic, bring your car to them to receive a second opinion.
They will find the real issue and show you how you were being cheated by another mechanic. It is mind boggling how some mechanics can be unethical and steal from you. You will get an accurate cost of the labor and repair. The prices here are very budget friendly, competitive, and not intimidating.
They are very passionate, transparent and 100% GUARANTEE THEIR WORK! They speak English and Spanish - a bonus. I highly recommend them.
Fernando is hands down the best mechanic around! For months my car wouldn’t start! Fernando took a look at it and had it running the same day! When other mechanics tell you there’s nothing you can do Fernando will tell you don’t worry I’ll figure it out! I will never go to another mechanic again!
I had an issue with my 750i car was shaking while driving I took it to multiple shops even bmw no could figure out thanks to Omar he not just figured it out but also fixed it and on very reasonable cost.

Awesome to have shop open 7 days .. mechanic team were professional . Needed diagnose on my Nissan Altima . They were able to resolve all questions and Concerns . Owner was nice and friendly .
I brought my car in the same day to make sure it was safe to drive a long distance and to get the AC charged. Price was great and everyone was SUPER helpful. I would definitely recommend this place!

I was helped by Gil. He was extremely professional and thorough. He took the time to explain to me and show me what the noise was that I was hearing with my vehicle. He had me out of the shop in no time and explained to me that if there was any other issues to not hesitate to reach out. I definitely found my new mechanic and will not go anywhere else from here on out. We need more honest mechanics like Gil. Thanks again!
Gill is amazing! I had an issue with my pickup leaking antifreeze/coolant from the engine block. In the time it would take another repair shop to diagnose the problem, Gill had the issue repaired and out the door. This incredible service, coupled with an extremely reasonable price is the reason I would recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and reputable repair shop. I will have all of my vehicles serviced by Gill and NJ Punjab Auto Repair. They have a lifelong customer in me.

Secondly I have Cadillac escalade and it's very hard for me to trust any workshop but when they did the service on it I was super satisfied. New ownership has friendly environment easy to deal with . Got reasonable rate for tune up on my 2015 chevy suburban and they took care of some extra stuff free of cost . Must try them for once you won’t regret it .

Mechanic was very nice and friendly my car broke down block away he was able to start save me money of towing and replace my starter on 2015 bmw 535xi with reasonable price for parts and labor . So I would definitely recommend others to try them once .
