Went there a few times to scap. One time gave me 320 a pound for #1 copper. Next time told me i had a fee pieces #2 out of 80 poums and gave me 2.20 a pound. The last time tried to short me by 30 pounds talking about the scale sticks. Never again
Great price for my car, 100- 200 more than anyone else offered. They're super busy so there was a delay in the pickup but they made good in the long run.
They didn't have a lot of things I needed such as batteries which is very important but they have a large selection of cars they were able to order a grill for my Jaguar
You have to keep an eye on them there. They are known for shorting your weight on the scales. Make sure you destroy all still usable scrap items. Or else they'll take them out and sell them to the public after giving u cents. Thee worst metal recycling place in the country !! Stay away or get robbed. Or don't listen and find out the hard way. Multiple people have told me it's been a common theme there and stopped going.
Keep calling them on day time between 2-3 pm . No one picks the phone ! What kinda customer service you have ? If you guys not gonna answer the phone why are you directing to operator ?
I own a Shop in Southampton NJ and needed body panels for a Toyota Avalon. I called Scarpati's and spoke to Chris. She had exactly what I needed at an extremely fair price, and delivered the items for no additional fees. WINNING. I will be a Scarpati's Customer for life.
I’m not a metal expert and I don’t scrap a lot of metal so I didn’t know what I had actually. I asked the guy that dump yard was it steel or aluminum he told me steel The owner came by and inspected them material himself and didn’t say a word to me they gave me $150 . The next Week I went to a different scrap yard with the same metal from the same project I went to dump it in the steel area again the guy stopped me and said that’s not steel it’s aluminum which was the same material that I brought to the scrap yard they ripped me off for about $800 in aluminum stay away!
John the owner is shady. Only offered me 15 cents a pound on a large electric motor. Whispered something to his worker while I was being written up at scale.
This is the best scrap yard on the east coast.The owners are very nice and accommodating.The parts department goes above and beyond to answer all questions and concerns you may have.I would not go anywhere else and send all family and friends to this place.Very reasonable and fair prices.
The quality of service depends on who you picks up the phone.
I had to get a new tire rim and Tom was lovely- answered all my questions without judgement and told me when the item would arrive.
Horrible scrap yard do not use this place. They will try to short you on scrap cooper/aluminum cans anyway they can especially the owner in the office John. Was shorting me 40 cents on each pound of copper. DO NOT USE SCARPATTIS
Honestly, this place is a RIP off. Came in with clean aluminum and the rep.argued with me that it was not clean. Also, they have no clear pricing board for what is the cost for any of the metals so even if you decide to not go through with the exchange it's too late because they hall away the metal even before you get paid. Not a honest business and definitely not well versed on good customer services. There are other spots in the area that are hi honest and no bs. Theis place is again horrible
I have always used a competing company for bringing my scrap metal to until recently. I started going to scarpaties last summer and have always had exceptional service. Would have given 5 stars but today I called them about dropping off a steel tub which they told me they would take. After rushing out of work to get there on time they told me they would not take the tub because it was under a 100 pounds. I was a little aggravated that I took the time to call and rush over there to be sent back home. Not sure I will return after this, however, for others who are looking for a decent and clean scrap yard, this is the place to go.

They tell me they have the engine I need then they cant get ahold of shipper they finally get ahold of shipper they cant receive faxes to collect information so we email it the seller is out in yard all morning come back in gets ahold of us and says someone else sold that engine
