This place does not have a list of prices and will try to hustle used parts as if they will be selling new parts fresh from the dealer. I understand it's a business, but do not be selfish and opportunistic. Be reasonable, work with your customers, do not scare them. Do not scam your customers making them loosing their time, do not advertise your items in social media if you are not willing to negotiate. Be grateful if your potential customers are interested in your business.

I needed an older disabled vehicle towed away same day because my apartment complex decided to do last minute construction in the parking lot and gave me zero advance notice. I called numerous other auto yards in the area with no success. I called Acres at 3:30 pm and they were able to get a driver out by 5 pm same day. The price quoted on phone was honored and the transaction was quick and easy. The vehicle we were junking had a very low suspension and body kit and was difficult to tow due to the height and location it was parked. However the driver was impressively skilled in maneuvering the tow truck around the tight parking lot despite all the ongoing construction. I wish we had gotten his name before he drove off so we could have thanked him properly. He was extremely professional and quick even with all the challenges before him. Highly recommend this business if you have an older vehicle you need to get rid of.

Whom ever the receptionist is the answers the phone is very, very rude. No phone etiquette and very disrespectful. Doesn’t listen well and doesn’t know how to be professional. They do not deserve any stores with her answering the phone. They need a new receptionist oh, whom ever she may be a family member either way she doesn’t need to be handling any phone business. I don’t know about anyone else in the business and how they handle customers, but she definitely doesn’t deserve any stars and I was forced to put a star on here just to put the reading in the review on here. (response to Acres reply) The problem I experienced is the female who answers your phone did not listen to what I was proposing I was in the seaford area that is why I called and before I could finish what I was saying she immediately got rude saying "did it say six!" and hung up on me. All of your vehicles were going to be delivered same day but just picked up in two loads instead of one load all she had to say was thank you for your inquiry but we prefer the load to be picked up as one load. I am shocked at your reply to cover up what really happened which is condoning her unprofessional representation of your company. there is no excuse for bad business practices. I learned my lesson your company will definitely be on my DO NOT CALL list. When I called back to ask if the phone disconnected or did she hang up on me the woman who did not identify herself said she hung up on me because I mentioned six vehicles instead of eight. I explained to her that she didn't allow me to finish what I was saying her reply was "I don't have to give you anything so stop calling my phone then hung up again. I never experienced this type of behavior in my Five years of business. Just have a sit down with her and train her for proper customer service and communication skills. Since you are allowing her to be on the front line she is the first impression. Transporting vehicles is a hard and dangerous job it helps to make the day run a bit smoother when haulers can have peaceable interaction with companies such as yours.

Joel, the tow driver was excellent. Friendly and fast. 5 stars for him. The office staff was meh on the phone, maybe they are busy but it is a whatever feeling I got. They did their job. I felt that the office can adjust how they talk to a customer who does not use a junk yard regularly with a bit more understanding and take time to explain the process. Luckily, I spoke to my auto insurance company before scheduling a pick up so, I got an understanding of the title transfer process from them. I guess there is no incentive to be kind or informative when you know that you will get business regardless of your attitude. Even if they said to check out the DMV website would have improved the experience. They seem to be the only scrap yard in this part of NJ. A big bonus with them is the pick up is included.

Driver tried running a red light to the point I had to pull off to the shoulder. Then driver started screaming and threatening me. He also stated he doesn't care about the company he works for. Very poor safety protocol and unprofessional. The truck and driver is a rolling billboard that represents the company. Would never use this company based on its representation.

If you are looking to purchase any parts from this company please look further into the actual product you need. This company will over charge you for parts. To be honest you’ll be better buying the factory parts from the dealer with the prices this company is giving or consider eBay. Same part they wanted $250 for I found on another website for $90 in mint condition.

I had a bad experience with this junkyard, the girl on the phone was careless when I explained I called a day before for a transmission which they had sold months ago! I asked if they could help me out with pricing which they said no, I was willing to pay the $400 difference and they gave me a hard time for the core! I asked for a manager and all I heard was Jose (didn’t bother grabbing the phone to speak to me) all I heard him say was “it’s the same answer! Keep in mind I drove 2 hours and paid 2 tolls to get to them! I won’t be doing business with them again. Thank you for your unprofessional service Acres.

They quoted me 500 for my old van and when the guy came to pick it up he said he could only give me 300 because the cats weren't original. They should have told me this up front or asked me about it and I would have told them, but they didn't. A very poor way of doing business. Just be honest.

Price was agreed to prior to picking up vehicle, but not honored when tow truck arrived. They claimed it was not the original catalytic converter, but I never had any exhaust work done on vehicle. After discussion with the office, the agreed upon price was paid. Seems like they really want to do the right thing.

Sold my old car to them. Great communication and timely. When Pito came to pick up the old car, he was very pleasant and easy to work with. Very professional and efficient. He had to remove the car from the driveway, turn it around on a busy street, and pick it up from the front to drive it away. He didn't complain at all and worked very quickly in 10 degree weather. Highly recommended!
