The report agents were very nasty and unhelpful despite my bill being paid. I understand they have to wait for a confirmation, However that wasn’t what my visit was for, I explained I know my rights and have a right to retrieve my personal items from the vehicle and was denied twice. This is clearly a family owned business or the people within are closely related in some form. They were very hostile and disrespectful to the point where I had to file a police report and am now seeking legal action against the company. I had to document my entire experience and I highly encourage anyone else to do the same when visiting. They’ll deny you a paper trail, But I’ve created my own.
Even though having my car repossessed was not an easy experience, I have to give credit to this repossession company for handling the situation with professionalism and respect. The team was courteous, clear in their communication, and followed all procedures properly.
They answered my questions without judgment, explained what I needed to do next, and treated me fairly throughout the process. While it wasn’t the outcome I wanted, they made a difficult situation much less stressful than it could have been.
If you ever find yourself dealing with a repossession, this is the kind of company you’d hope to be involved—honest, efficient, and respectful.
They empty your car theirselves once you give them the key. They must’ve thought i wouldn’t know what was in my car! They took my cables and my perfume and prolly more that i didnt Realized! Then gave me the wrong license plate like i wouldn't Notice!!
They towed my car threw out my belongings got smart now that i’m here trying to get my car i have a “oil leak” after getting a brand new engine prior to my tow on top of coming here to drive my car away they marked my car as “non-drivable”
$200 was missing from my belongings. We called and was told it was another bag in the car and upon arrival when we checked everything our money was still missing. My husband car also had a dent on the side of it. Stay away from this company.
Got here and was was waiting just for them to immediately take care of white folks who walked in after me. Very distasteful. Talked to the white people told them where they could grab theirs keys. With my car , they took 20 mins to pull it up and just left the door open and walked away. But every other customer got full conversations. Such a shame for behavior in 2025
THE WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER THEY STOLE MONEY FROM MY BROTHER CAR 140 DOLLARS , THEY STOLE HIS MEDICATION! THEY WOULDN’T GIVE HIM HIS CAR … HE HAD TO LITERALLY PUT UP A FIGHT TO GET HIS CAR!
the most disappointing business i’ve ever had the misfortune to deal with. one of their employees hit another customers car with my car, got out of my car, did not apologize and ran inside. the cops were called and the entire business hid inside their building like cowards. the accident could have potentially been avoided had they taken 2 more minutes to remove the snow from the windshield of my car. i understand accidents happen, but to not even receive an apology for the accident is what’s the most disappointing part.
The worst customer service experience I've ever had in my entire 47 years of life. I have never in my life been treated with such disrespect. This entire business is a SCAM they literally made up an excuse to not give me back my car. Telling me they were getting an inspection but I was standing at the front door an they weren't open. I'm an calling better busyness to make a formal complaint. Anyone doing any business with them be prepared to be swindled out of now money an time then you think. The later on the phone is horrible
I call this company I was speaking with a lady customer service and I ask her if you guys has my vehicle she said yes I told her to send me the address and by the time when I got there I told her I’m here to pick up my car and then she said the company don’t has the car the lie to my face and waste my time And also there was a young lady she gave me a bad attitude and is very racist I was talking to her she ignore me and also I saw young dude. Very bad service. I think they not belong to work for the company ??. I was not happy for that
I was a little nervous because of all the reviews but the process was smooth and easy! Paid my fees and was able to pick my car up the next business day with 0 issues. Lady on the phone and in the front office were super nice. Hopefully i’ll never be in this situation again but if I am I know i’ll be taken care of quickly and professionally. Thank you!!
Got my car back from the lot with damages clearly from the wrecker arm of the tow truck. Went inside to discuss why there’s a hole in my car and what we’re going to do about it. Took main dude 10 minutes to answer me from the front window replying to me “I’m wasting his time” he then comes outside saying something about red paint transfer.. must’ve been another one of his mistakes… I said where’s the check book he told me kick rocks.
I wish I could give 0 stars, they treat you like they treating with animals. NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL! They give you your personal belongings in TRASH BAGS!!! They don't even allow you to actually make sure you have all your personal items. They suck!
It’s so many issues with this company I really do not know where to start!!! First thing first, taking my car was not the issue, I was giving up the car anyway. The issue was when me and my husband called them to tell them that we wanted to pick up our property and made them aware of everything that was needed from the car, including my registered firearm they ransacked my car and called the police to retrieve my firearm. Then proceeded to say, “Well if it’s legal, you don’t have anything to worry about” LADY WHAT CRIMINAL IS GOING TO WILLINGLY CALL YOU AND TELL YOU ITS A GUN IN THE CAR IF ITS ILLEGAL?! What criminal would be dumb enough to do that??! Then there is a $75 fee just to get your property, and they only accept cash. When they gave us our property, they handed us a big trash bag with our stuff in which a lot of important paperwork was damaged including birth certificates, and I’m missing two pair of my daughters sneakers. I was so pissed I literally had to walk away and calm myself down, not to mention the lady attitude SUCKS. My advice to anyone that has to deal with this company, call the police to assist you with your property and to keep you from exploding. TRUST THE REVIEWS THEIR NOT LYING ONE BIT!
This place don't even deserve one star. They don't do their job, rude, unprofessional. Waste of time making appointments. Go there and say no appointments after taking 3 days to try and schedule one. Teresa is ignorant and incompetent.
I started off with a 5 star review until I noticed they stole a 12 pack of Scott tissue & only put one roll in the bag with the rest of my belongings & stole beverages that were in my trunk besides the waters lol ? but overall everything that I had hope wasn’t stolen WAS in the bag! SO, overall everything was ok
On 1/12/24 at approximately 12:00AM my car was towed by advanced financial towing. I contacted my bank around 10:30 and came current with my loan and they then released a redemption letter and a personal belongings release form stating they had to release my car and belongings immediately. Advanced financial failed to do so. One of my personal belongings was my two prescriptions of heart medication that I have to take everyday, I reached out to them and they told me I was not able to pick up my belongings or car until Tuesday 1/16/24 after 1pm and the total cost would be $580 due to daily storage fees. However my vehicle was suppose to be released prior to Tuesday 1/16/24. I do not believe it’s fair to me or others that we have to pay fees to these types of business when they are doing things as ridiculous as this. I had to pay almost $600 because they wanted to hold my vehicle and belongings hostage instead of just releasing them like my bank told them to do so. It is absolutely RIDICULOUS AND UNACCEPTABLE. Definition of trailer park trash & I reported them to the BBB!!!!!
This company literally cut my hoses under my hood, damaged the outside, busted both my tail lights, ramsacked my vehicle while also cutting the interior. The owner ,"JIM" when he got on the phone per my request, he literally got on the phone began with " I DONT WANT TO HEARNOTHING ABOUT UR KEYS YOU GOT 10SECONDS GO!.They towed/repossessed my truck ND the 3rd day they had my truck on the auction website to be auctioned! THEYRE CROOKS!! THIEFS
As a business I wish I could give this business a higher rating. Extremely professional, reliable and overall a strong partner to have a relationship with. They get the job done when no one else can. I've noticed most of the 1 star reviews are consumers who are not understanding the high risk these sort of companies take and why they have policies in place.

Absolutely the worst company i have ever dealt with. The girls in the office are rude and aggressive. Even threatened to fight my daughter…From behind a window. When we finally got our belongings there were quite A few very expensive things missing. They also made us pay for a locksmith since we didn’t have the key and then broke into the vehicle themselves. BEWARE!!
Business requires exact cash, they don’t take credit card or check and they deliberately make it hard for you to get your car back. Nobody answers the phones. And the business name doesn’t match the signs posted near PJs

Update: I spoke to Rob(I assume he is the owner) and he told me he would not allow me on the property to collect my things and if I come on his property there will be a problem. I had to get the police involved just to retrieve my personal property. The worst part when Rob brings my stuff out he throws it at my feet like I'm some piece of trash. Be very leery when dealing with this company...EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL
I went in today 11/18/22 to pickup my personal belongings. The workers said everything that was in my truck was bagged up all my valuables were missing my tags weren’t in the bag like they said it was and they don’t know what happened to it
After arriving to AFS REPO to pick up our private property, and my federal law enforcement retirement badge, the two women at the front office immediately served me a document explaining that I relinquish their company of any wrongdoing, damaged personal property and so on. I had to call the Monroe police department to assist getting our personal property, including my retired Federal law enforcement badge. I did not want to sign it. Instead of going to court I signed the document stating that I'm signing this letter under duress on 02/08/22. This is against NEW JERSEY STATE LAW. When GM Financial hired the company to repossess our vehicle, the repo employee ripped 1 Comcast digital security camera off the front door, then used a lazer to disable the physical camera on the side of our home, as to the lazer burning the highly sophisticated technology and lens on our 3 camera Xfinity security system it is now inoperable permanently. Our security system is a $800.00 dollar system. In the contents of the NJ state law that allows a repo representative to "ONLY HAVE AUTHORITY TO HAVE ACCESS TO A OPEN DRIVEWAY" not full access to our backyard, left side house, right side house, fenced in backyard, and absolutely at no time should a repo employee touch, mutilate, damaged, or have access to private property except a open driveway to legally repossess a vehicle.
