I bought a car from them a month and a half ago and I can say after my time with the car it was absolutely worth the 4 hour drive from Connecticut. The cars they sell and the folks running the place are honest and make sure what they sell is quality. Yes, the cars are older, but they are lower mileage and all in excellent condition. If you're looking for a reliable car to drive regularly, this is where you should be looking (especially since you can teach an old car new tricks pretty easily). And while I cannot speak about passing a NJ inspection, the car I bought passed the CT inspection easily. The folks went out of their way to make sure all of my concerns were addressed and it was overall one of the best car buying experiences I've had. 11/10, would definitely recommend starting here.

Bill was very helpful and efficient getting our paperwork done quickly. He actually got our tags and registration same day which was very nice. My son is very happy with his car it runs great and nice to know they are mechanics it gives us piece of mind. Bought a ‘02 Chevy Impala 37k miles at a good price. It was extremely clean for a used car.

I bought a '99 Ford Escort in April of '25. Price was fair, and it was exactly as listed. They didn't tack on any extra fees or try to upsell me on anything save for a headlight treatment which was worth the $50. The car itself? Yeah, it needed work but it was a 1999, of COURSE it needed some love. But it was VERY clean and is a joy to drive. I'm a happy owner. The sales process was easy and painless. I even took my daughters there to get their first car. To sum up do you really want a huge car payment for something newer? If you just need a car to get from point A to B you can't go wrong with these guys. They got what you need, basic and reliable cars at a good price.

Had a great experience buying my car here. Bill and Mike were great, very open about anything wrong which was purely cosmetic for my vehicle, no shady dealer crap. They only charge the price of the car and temp tag no lot fees, dock fees none of that price bloat. They specialize in older low milage cars. Id happily buy from them again.

If you are looking for a low mileage used vehicle, stop and go no further than Iron Horse Auto Sales. My husband and I are pleased with our recent purchase of 2003 Toyota Corolla. The car is in great running condition with only 41K original miles. Mike made the purchase process easy, he was upfront and direct with pricing. My father and I came all the way from NH and NY (respectively) to look at a truck at Iron Horse Auto Sales. Obviously, there are many car dealers closer to us but speaking with Bill over the phone and the information and pictures he provided made the trip down a comfortable one. Their inventory, prices, and professionalism made the car buying process a pleasure and made our decision easy when we purchased a 1997 Ford Ranger from them. I purchased a car from Iron Horse in late February and I've been very happy with it. We dealt with Mike and found him to be very personable and helpful. He gave me a fair price for a great ride that was in great shape for it's age and mileage: 2011 Scion xB w 209k miles on it. It passed Delaware inspection with flying colors. This was my first time buying from a mom and pop used car lot and I'm very thankful to have a positive experience with it.... especially since I lived 45 miles from the place. If you have a need for a dependable used car, I would definitely check these guys out.

I recently purchased a beautiful Toyota Avalon from Iron Horse. These guys are wonderful, no pressure, I could take my time and they were more than happy to help me with whatever I wanted to check out. They have a bunch of great cars on the lot, I originally went to look at a different Toyota but for a few bucks more I bought this Avalon. Even though it's used, it looks and drives like a new car. I can't recommend them enough. I'm very satisfied with the purchase.

Great experience purchasing a car for my daughter after months of looking. Super helpful and informative and lots of clean vehicles to look at. We ended up purchasing a vehicle that was slightly more than we wanted to spend but was super clean and well maintained and that they had made several recent repairs to and we felt it was worth the price. The purchasing process was quick and easy. Once I had the check and proof of insurance, I was driving away 30-45 minutes later. No extra dealer fees like most places, and they took care of everything. I had my tags 3 days later. I highly recommend this dealer if you want honest guys and a great car!

I was in the process of looking into used cars and came across this website as a complete accident and I am glad I did! I actually looked at inventory online and took it upon myself to drive up there on a Sunday to see what they had looked like in person and let me tell you, it was exactly what was pictured. No photoshop, no edits, no filters! You get what you see in the pictures! Being a female who doesn’t have the slightest clue what I’m looking at or anything about cars, there was something trustworthy about these guys. Maybe the fact that they are the third generation of family who Has been working there! And to me that speaks volumes, that one place could stay open that long so obviously these guys have a reputable business and I was glad that I trusted my gut instinct because from the first day we spoke , they stuck to their Word with everything they would do to help me drive away in the car I was looking at. (Which was. 2003 Toyota Camry with only 46,000 original miles, the inside was spotless, no stains on seat and carpets and they even went and had it detailed for me not to mention took it through inspection and got me. 2 year sticker. I literally had to do nothing but pick the car I wanted take it for a test drive, Go over financial plans, and from there, they took care of everything the transferring of the title paperwork tags, inspection and detailing of car. They even left me a half tank of gas in it also. LoL! It has been 30 days since I’ve had my car and I am completely in love with it. It may be over 20 years old, but with that mileage you can’t go wrong. It’s pretty much a new car. I have already recommended their dealership to two of my friends, one who is in the process now of looking for a low mileage older car and you can’t go wrong with IronHorse Auto Sales. All of their cars are pretty much low mileage and the price that you pay is definitely worth what you get. I highly recommend the dealership. Thank you Mike & Bill for everything!

I went in looking for a reasonable and reliable vehicle. I was greeted immediately, asked appropriate questions pertaining to what I was interested in. Allowed to test drive vehicles until I was satisfied. All cars were clean inside and out. Once I found one to fit my needs, I had follow up questions that were answered right away. Even shown the engine, original stickers on vehicle body, and clear oil showing the oil change was up to date. At no time did I feel I was being forced to make a purchase. Not your typical sales man’s approach. The dreaded paperwork was made fast and easy. Be prepared to have your own insurance coverage on newly purchased vehicle before leaving the lot. I chose to handle the DMV portion myself. The title transfer was ready within a week. I highly recommend Iron Horse Auto Sales for your next vehicle purchase.

Purchased a 2005 Kia Spectra with only 80K miles on it as a first car for my oldest kid. Car was clean and newly painted, and reasonably-priced, given the age/mileage of the car! Mike is very friendly and easy to work with! He guaranteed state inspection, and a few days later (before we had a chance to get the car inspected), the Check Engine light came on. Mike was able to quickly diagnose the issue (bad oxygen sensor), got it fixed right away, and even handled taking the car to get inspected for us, and put the new tags on the car. I have another kid who will be of driving age in a few years, and I would definitely come back to Iron Horse when that time comes!

For weeks I searched for my Avalon- not only did Billy at Iron Horse give me that, but he gave me a connection for a reliable dealership that is run by down to earth people. I’ve had this car for a few months now and I can confidently say it is the best car I’ve ever driven- not just owned. I’ve bought at dealerships before- Iron Horse is the ONLY one that I’d be happy to go back to in the future, but I’ve got a feeling this Avalon is going to keep me away from any dealership for a looong time. Over the years we’ve dealt with new & used car dealers and Mike & Bill are top notch. Mike was fantastic to work with in buying a 1999 Taurus stationwagon. Yes, thats right a 1999 stationwagon - in nearly pristine condition with less than 60k miles! He even offered to fix up a few less than perfect things. And Bill - he went above and beyond in preparing what we needed for the out of state registration/title transfer. He was so patient and accommodating with what was required. After looking for a few weeks on the internet and publications,only finding high mileage and scammer vehicals ! I went on a road trip down rte47! I made it to Iron Horse in Hurfville and seen some nice clean models on their lot! The seats and steering wheels were clean,and not worn out! I knew they had some nice low mileage cars and trucks!! I ended up talking to Mike and after a few minutes he said Bill was driving in a low mile Saturn. Well after checking it out, and really only finding 1 problem wrong with it,which they repaired in great time! I was really impressed with them and purchased a very nice low mileage car from them! We chatted a while and I found out that we had a few friends in common, and that they were Chevy guys,as I am! I would highly recommend them,and Iron Horse Auto sales. I am customer who just purchase my car today and strongly recommending buying a car from this dealership. Mike, and his brother Bill were very helpful when it came to purchasing my now Ford Five Hundred vehicle with LOW mileage at a fair price. They also let me drive the car off the lot a fair time with no pressure. I took the car to my personal mechanic and car works perfectly fine. The vehicle was clean inside and out. There were no dents nor scratches. There book manuals were old and worn out but at the price of the vehicle you are getting will be worth it.
