Leasing Agent Anna is amazing. She made the entire move-in process smooth and stress-free. The apartment was clean and exactly as promised. Building is very responsive to the maintenance needs and I can surely say I am happy with my experience :)

If I could give Hector more than 5 stars, I would. He gets the job done and always in a professional way. He’s friendly, accommodating and doesn’t complain either. He’s one of the good ones.

Since moving in, Hector has been incredibly helpful and supportive. Moving into a new apartment often comes with a few issues, but Hector was on top of everything each time without hesitation. He’s always friendly, reliable, and responsive to all of my needs. Most recently, I received a new refrigerator and stove, and Hector handled the entire installation on his own. I’ve truly never experienced service that is this efficient and dependable. Beyond being great at his job, Hector is genuinely kind and welcoming he really makes you feel at home. I’m very grateful for his dedication and outstanding service.

The only reason this place has 4.1, is because the supers - who are very nice & responsive - deserve the recognition. Other than that, I would genuinely like to know why rent keeps getting raised by 6% every single year I’ve been here, despite NOTHING inside my apartment changing. Inflation cannot continue to be the justification - it’s been the same excuse for 4+ years. I can’t find parking in front of my building most nights because the property doesn’t actually check to see who has a sticker, more than one car or if it’s a commercial vehicle. A 3rd floor apartment on their website is $1525…so why is my rent now being increased to $1750+. For context, I started off at $1375. It’s ridiculous. When you call to say something you’re met with the inflation excuse + that they’re the cheapest in the area. No shit; the apartments are outdated, no dog run, no pool, no assigned parking, communal laundry that’s dirty + not included & the list goes on regarding lack of amenities. So what is the deal?

Beautiful Apartment. Neighbors are friendly. I had a plumbing issue and within 20 minutes, my hero Hector showed up and not only fixed the issue, but did it with speed and cleanliness! Love this place!

I just got off the phone with whomever is at the leasing office. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Anna due to other reviews left here. She was rude and told me I had an attitude because I re asked my question. She was unpleasant to speak to. All I asked was, what is the credit score requirement. She said she couldn’t answer that, I basically said that surprised me because other places have been able to. From me saying that she also tried to say I had an attitude. She was overall unpleasant to speak with. I make 9K less of the income requirement. After speaking with whom I spoke with I wouldn’t even want to start the process there she turned me off from that place. And from the looks of it this seems to be an issue for their tenants for the last 2 years. Their apartment prices are beautiful between like $1550-$1950 1/2 bedrooms but they want you to make 69k annually before taxes with nasty staff in the leasing office. Even if I got a co signer the staff would be a huge reason for me not to move there. She didn’t even sound like she likes her job

Warning: I am vacating apt# 16 from 2 Stevens. Aware of this Dino ? living upstairs. They don’t go to work, all 7 days a week they will be on your head. Location is good if you work NYC. Staying in 2nd floor, very old buildings. Lots of noise. There is a guy staying on 3rd floor top of my apartment. Everyday from morning 7 am to till 11 pm sometimes midnight creating noise and you feel like he walks on your head. Everyday he walks 6 to 7 hrs of walk . You can’t tolerate. I request him, I complaint about him to the management but nothing change. It’s been 1 year and I am in stress. I was Not able to vacate bcos of lease. Now I am moved to different new apartment .living my peaceful life

My experience here is by far the best. I’ve been here for 2 years now and whenever there is an issue the supers here are at your door whatever time of day. Miguel the super is professional and fixes any issue we have had. They keep this place looking nice and are always friendly. Best environment I’ve been in by far. Would recommend anyone to move here ??. Great place to have family or even have pets. Very diverse here as well. Thumbs up for me ??

This is by far the best apartment I’ve lived in. The Super Miguel is a hardworking person. Whenever I call for a service request he shows up the same day to fix the issue. Ceiling leaks, clogged sinks, you mention it. He’s kind as well. Awesome management. Appreciate it. Thank you for your services ??

Awful place avoid it at all costs. Apartment are old and smell, along with pest issues. I have lived here for 2 years and the amount of mice is disgusting and unsafe for anyone.

Like living on construction site every morning staring at 6:30AM-7:00AM with recycling business next to apts/parking. On first floor have mice under floor every fall and have caught many. Floor above me squeaks so loud from heavy set person walking around at all hours I have to turn my TV up to hear better and my bedroom closet doors vibrate. Tenant on 3rd floor constantly plays loud music. Water pipes noisy and bang and vibrate at all hours at times. Slamming of other apartment doors,no one seems to care.

I have to say working with Realtor Jae Baek was a pleasure. She was very professional and has great communication skills. I appreciate working with her she made everything move smoothly.

Initially moving here, I was excited. The apartment is spacious, the area was clean, the rent was a good price & they accepted dogs. Fast forward two years later & I do not feel the same way. Prices for both rent & pet fees has increased - what was once $1350 in rent (without pet fees) is now $1600+ // the pet fee went from being $25 to now $60 I believe. For what reason? I’m not sure, all they have is poop bags - there is NO dedicated pet area as they claim on their website. As far as rent, they keep raising it each year by 6%; the first year, fine, because of inflation & overall market increase. But what is the reason for continuing that?! The buildings are old, the kitchen is outdated, the grounds have trash now, you cannot find parking anymore if you get here after 7pm during the the week (which I would bet $$ they charge people for extra cars but don’t consider how many spaces there are actually are - all for profit), in the winter there isn’t even a point of them including heat bc the windows are SO OLD all the cold comes in. All they have to say is “we’re one of the lowest places on the market” well no shit with all of the above issues & zero amenities. You can’t count the laundry room bc they look like someone’s old, abandoned basement.

Let me start by saying: they send you an email referring to you as a “lead.” Not a person, not a prospective tenant — a lead. Not great or professional. I am providing for my senior family member and responsible for their bills and living arrangements. Upon explaining this to Jae Beck, they continually told me that BOTH of us would need to apply, and if she doesn’t meet the income requirements then, well, basically that’s too bad. Even though I transparently said she is a senior and I will be paying the rent, it didn’t matter. If I want to pay, we still BOTH need to apply — which makes no sense. They also do not allow co-signers. So basically, they DISCRIMINATE against anyone who is getting assistance. You also cannot see any model before you get your keys, so in reality, you could be stuck with an absolute dumpster fire of an apartment and have no way out. In addition, be prepared to fork over $1,100 as a “refurbishing fee” — TRANSLATION: you’re paying for them to fix the mess left by the last tenant. Nice “pay it forward.” Affordable living? Sure. But there’s a LOT of reading between the lines here. Keep your BS, Jae Beck, and your mid customer service along with your mid apartments.

I have been living in Jasontown Apartments for the past two years, and I must say it has been a rather stressful experience. From the beginning, my interactions with the leasing office were less than pleasant. Anna, the leasing agent, was particularly rude and condescending during the lease signing process. Despite this initial red flag, I decided to go ahead with the apartment, hoping for the best. Unfortunately, that hope quickly faded. The walls in this building are incredibly thin. I can hear everything from my neighbors’ conversations to the sounds of them snoring and even farting. It’s nearly impossible to enjoy any peace and quiet in your own home. Moreover, management here seems to prioritize profit over tenant satisfaction. They require a non-refundable $1,000 fee upfront, with no security deposit required before moving in. This is in addition to the application fee, which feels excessive and exploitative. When I finally decided enough was enough and notified them 45 days before my lease was up, I was shocked to learn that because I didn’t give a 60-day notice, they charged me a $250 fee. Despite my consistent record of paying rent on time—never once late—they showed no willingness to waive this fee when I asked. It’s clear that tenant loyalty means little to them. I’ll be moving out in just a few days, and I plan to provide another review about the moving-out process. For now, I can’t recommend Jasontown Apartments to anyone looking for a comfortable and considerate living experience. There are better options out there.

I have had an extremely frustrating experience with the property manager. Over the past month, I have attempted to inquire about apartment availability multiple times. Despite numerous calls, she answered only twice. During our first conversation, she directed me to await contact via Apartments.com. When I explained that I had already received an email instructing me to call her directly, she was dismissive. In our second interaction today, reached through a different number, she responded with, “Ma’am, what are you talking about?” Her unprofessional and rude demeanor has made the application process needlessly difficult. It’s concerning that such behavior may deter potential renters. I hope the property owners address this issue promptly to prevent further loss of prospective tenants.

Absolutely five stars for Hector, the super at our apartment complex! From day one, he has gone above and beyond to ensure our community is well-maintained and welcoming. Whether it’s fixing maintenance issues promptly or keeping the apartment immaculate, Hector’s dedication is unmatched. He’s always friendly, approachable, and ready to help with any concern. It’s clear he truly cares about the residents and our comfort. Having someone like Hector makes living here a joy. Highly recommend!

A while back I was in a difficult situation where the house I rented for years was being put on the market and in this crazy economy I could not find anything affordable, upon finding Jasontown apartment on the internet, which rent prices are budget friendly and affordable under this crazy economy, I started read every comment to get an idea about this place, the amount of negative comments were very discouraging and almost kept from even trying to enquire, but I really did not have a choice and did not want to become homeless, so I called Jasontown and spoke with Jae (she is amazing) I explained my situation and she was just so helpful, she emailed the application, i applied sent all the required documents, and within weeks I was approved. Moved into my clean updated apartment with beautiful wooden floor, bright spacious living room, with plenty of sunlight from the windows, and a lovely kitchen with amazing white cabinets. The neighbors are super nice and welcoming , one help me with carrying my air conditioner, and installed it for me. The laundry matt is literally a couple of feet, always clean. I notice the supers are always out and about fixing stuff, cutting grass and maintaining the place. I haven't seen any bugs ( i keep my house super clean) The only thing that I would say needs a touch are the hallways some paint and maybe new rugs. But other than that I looooooove this place. Don't be discouraged by the negative comments. Again Jae is amazing and so sweet.

Hector is super helpful and handy whenever a problem arises. He answers in a timely manner and is very trustworthy when it comes to taking care of things in the apartment. I think hector is also very respectful and super attentive to detail. He is definitely a great employee and he is the best person to call doesn't matter the time of day .

I felt bad to write this review. We have completed all the necessary fees and paperwork, and they have assured us that we can secure the apartment by August. Despite our eagerness to move in as soon as possible, we are willing to wait until then. To our delight, they even informed us about an available apartment in June, which brought us great joy as we were eager to settle in. However, today the agent informed us that the main office contacted her to reject our application. This news is truly disappointing. The time and the effort and the hustle. If we had applied for a different apartment, maybe we would have already found a place to settle down. Sigh.

Have been leaving in Jasontown apartment for almost 3 years. Every time I have an issue Hector will come and fix it same day and if he can’t do it the same day he will let us know he will be coming next day even if we’re not home. Thanks for all the attentions and quick response! There is another supervisor That has been awesome too, I think his name is Miguel.
