They keep giving me the run arounds about my tax refund check, I filed with turbo tax and apparently they have partnered with this bank, TT customer service sucks and so does this bank. My check keeps getting delayed further and further it’ll prolly be next year before I get this years tax refund. SMH 😡

I have never heard of this place until today … I am being sued for a commercial loan that I have never received of even applied for.. coming from someone who has never had a bank loan this is crazy like I said I’ve never used this bank but I wouldn’t recommend anyone else use them either

Terrible for checking and savings accounts. If any fraud is committed, don't expect them to look into it, from my experience. They will, figuratively, tell you that they looked out their office window and didn't see any fraud so it's your problem. There is little to no recourse once they make this type of decision that has any meaningful effect. I would avoid them and go with a more reputable bank.

Absolutely abysmal. Continue to try to transfer funds to Coinbase (who also has the same level of customer service using 12 year old girls who read screens). Never able to make an actual transfer, despite hours on the phone of many days.

I have been call to speak to someone about why they still haven’t sent the check back to the it’s or deposit into my acct and still no answer…if I could give them a zero star I would …don’t do any business with this bank get your money outta there asap

same Issue, as in previous comments, BANK is unlawfully holding tax refund amount. and there is no way to contact with them. sounds like we all need to issue Class action lawsuit

I received my tax refund check and it was from cross river bank and I deposited it into my account over the weekend and also had paid bills with it and then today it was charged back out of my account so now I’m negative in my account a lot of money. I called who I filled my taxes through and they said it was banking issues for the bank who made the check which was cross river bank. I tried calling this bank all day long and received no answer. I tried multiple extensions that was on the automated voice when you call and no answer. I did finally get ahold of someone but they couldn’t help me and tried to transfer me but no one answered the transfer call. I will be trying to call again tomorrow bc this is the outrageous. The issuer of the check is the person who is denying me my money after the irs approved me so something is going to be done if no one answers there phone tomorrow. If I could give this cross river bank a 0 rating I would .

I've been trying to reach them because my Tax return was sent to this bank for some reason and not MY bank. And unfortunately i live like 6 hours away so i cant just 'pop in'. I've been calling this place for days but they never answer the phones!! It just keeps going to voicemail... I'm feeling like i somehow got scammed out of my money... shitty place. I'd avoid it if i were you.

Just a FYI for everyone during 11-24 i did a wire transfer from my bank to Coinbase & they Cross River Bank, Teaneck location as their wire tranfer center. That evening my bank account was almost hacked. Someone did a couple of micro transfers to one of my accounts to try & link them which is a Fraud technique. I also received a phishing scam email impersonating my bank. I have never had this happen until I used Cross River Bank. I will never transfer money through this bank again. I would think twice before ever using this bank for any online transactions!!!!!

Cross River bank is the absloute worst. I was offered a loan with upstart and this bank is the lender. the customer is non existent i am in temporarily hard times and the support is the absolute worst stay away!!!!

- later update - the bank did come back at the time using FB chat and corrected the situation. --- I received a PPP loan with Cross River but I can't deposit the c heck. I am trying to correct a typo for few weeks now. In contrary to what the owners wrote here, Cross River PPP does not answer calls, (if you call any of their numbers the automatic system would hang out on you if you are PPP customer) They don't reply to emails (for weeks) and they don't let you message them over twitter (Its blocked) . basically they just don't take or answer any correspondence from you. Having a lot of volume is not a legit excuse for totally ignoring customers.

I received a rejection letter from FreedomPlus, who claims its underwriting loans, for this bank. I've never heard of any of these institutions, and if I did, would not apply for anything from them. So I don't know where you are getting information about a ghost application I did not make, but I would strongly advise you to "cease and desist" or I will file charges!

Cross River Bank is great! I understand some people experience hard times in customer service, Sorry to hear that, but unfortunately it’s a problem nationwide, due to a Shortness of people because many are sitting at home getting fresh air under their legs and collecting free Unemployment money. Instead of getting a real job! Lots of companies are looking for help but many Don’t want to work, Anyways I’m happy to donate five ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ God bless America 🇺🇸

Cross River Bank I haven't been able to get a hold of no one. I applied for PPP loan last year for 2 of my businesses. However, for the second round I did not receive it due to the system stated couldn't read my document and it stated I could applied somewhere else but when I did so it appears I have a loan number already. What has been recommended that Cross River Bank needs to correct something in the system or send you information on what needs to be done. However, I cannot get adhold of no one. Now I'm driving 3 hours to get help and Branch close. Its very frustratinggggggg. My business is sufferingggg. Please send the best way to contact a human being to fix this.

I tried to reach out, but there is no email or phone and webform is just a black hole. Facebook chat support lies that they are not my lender. Stay away from Cross River Bank. They bite more than they can chew. They are named as a lender on all documents, but refusing to help in any way, forwarding me to a "servicing" partner Kabbage/KServicing, who are dropping calls and not answering emails since January.

How can this institution be operating with the sba ppp program. I signed my closing paperwork through kabbage (another awful experience) with Cross River Bank on May 12th. ItsJune 11th and funds are still not transfered into my bank acct. I cant get any answers from either place on where my ppp funds went. I need help and cant reach anyone or get replies to countless emails. I need the bank president or person with authority to look into this matter asap. Says through Affirm on Precision Matthew's equipment that they do 0% loans for 6 months. I have more than half of the money needed to purchase machine in account and make plenty of money to qualify, yet only qualified for 370$. Shouldn't even be considered as offering financing if they only offer a few hundred dollars on a ~5k dollar purchase. You guys earned this 1 star! Would also question all these "5 star reviews" by people with only 1 or 2 reviews under their account.

Was in a pinch and really needed a loan. They pre-approved me and despite the interest being a little higher, I was approved and it helped me and my family out significantly. This loan will help my credit and my wife's credit over the next year. I have no issues at all with this bank. Everything was completed online via Credit Karma.

Absolute crooks, they issued a letter on intent to lend, change it many times and then stole the good faith deposit. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE. in my 35 years dealing with banks, we have never seen such crooks. They should lose their license to lend.

Just wanted to say branch manager Tina Rubino took care of me with prompt excellent service. I had some problems getting a few interest checks mailed to me in time and being a senior need all my cd interest checks monthly for expenses. I called and asked her if I could be set up on direct deposit and she immediately sent me the paperwork and took me through what I needed to do. She replied to my e mails and phone calls always quick and after getting my paperwork back she set everything up immediately. Today the first of the month my money was in my account and I could not be happier for that, and her amazing help. Very few people follow through or call people back today she did both quick and was fantastic. Could not be more grateful for her help Thank you Tina !!!! Bob Leib

Used these guys by way of Affirm to do a 0% finance on a new mattress. Everything went super smooth and never had an issue. Would guarantee all the people with the 1 star reviews probably were denied credit so they thought they would just "retaliate" by leaving a bad review. Would definitely consider again.

Cross River Bank & Upstart, Inc. are both HORRIBLE companies that have absolutely ZERO compassion for their customers. My wife & I recently had our home completely destroyed by Hurricane Harvey in the Gulf Coast, which caused us both to miss several weeks of work. We asked Cross River Bank & Upstart to move 3 of our payments to the end of our 3-year loan due to the burden dealt upon us that we had no control over. Cross River Bank & Upstart came back with an offer that allowed us to 'skip' ONE payment, but the remainder of our payments (25 pmts) would be increased by $90/month (approx. $2,250 more). Additionally, this was going to affect our credit because Cross River Bank & Upstart were going to report that one 'skipped' payment as 30-60 days late. My wife and I have excellent credit and have never had one late payment ever reported on our credit, so it took a Hurricane to destroy our home and TWO TERRIBLE & HEARTLESS companies to cause us both to have our first late payment ever reported. When this happened, two credit card providers that we have been with for multiple years elected to close our credit card accounts (even though we had $0 balances), which also ended up affecting our credit rating - this was a snowball effect all due to two companies that clearly did everything possible to take advantage of the highest level of human suffering by turning our plight into profit for their investors. I have contacted ALL of the major news stations, the FTC, SEC, BBB, etc. etc., so I hope the profit you elected to make off of our account, in spite of our significant hardship, was well worth the negative publicity you're about to receive.

They have the combination of excellence in management of a customer's banking needs, combined with the genuine warmth toward the customers, that goes well beyond the norms of customer service. An absolute wonderful bank to work with. Customer Service is top! My emails get answered within hours. I would recommend this bank to everyone. The manager is exceptional. My organization has been banking with Cross River for almost two years and are extremely happy we made the change.

My corporation arranged a line of credit over the phone and all documents were completed and approvals received with 30 days. A wonderful experience and it has help the corporation since the line was granted, to increase it net worth significantly, as a direct result of the ability to use the line when the right situation is presented to the corporation. The corporation deals in frozen assets and you must be able to close a deal within 48 hours with the money sent to a 3rd party facilitator until all the details are completed.
